My detailed review, painting demo and swatching of A Gallo Watercolors Naturale 24 Palette containing natural earth shades! Over the last 4 weeks, I painted 7 dog portraits using only the A Gallo Watercolor Naturale 24 Palette so I’ve had plenty of time to get to know these handmade paints! Since I paint a lot of animal portraits, these beautiful natural earth shades are right up my alley.

Oh, I love that dragons blood color! What gorgeous paints!
They are very lovely paints indeed! It is such a wonderful experience painting with them 😊 The Dragon's Blood is a very gentle and unique colour (although harder to rewet than the other colours in my experience), and Alina mentioned to me that it is going to be discontinued in the near future and replaced with a Rose Madder Genuine colour that is currently in development, so Dragon's blood won't be around for much longer.

After seeing this video a year ago…i purchased this palette and i love it! i use it almost exclusively! They just came out with a new 36 color Naturale palette along with an assortment of new mineral colors.

Thank you for your review. I recently got some a Gallo paints and honestly they are my absolute favorite paints. I do have some of the most popular brands and these still are my top paints. One of my favorite things is the soft smell of rosemary *not at all over powering). It adds a nice more calming effect while painting. One of my favorite colors is also the morellone ( I think I spelled it correctly). It just gorgeous. I hope you have a great day

I believe Aliena mentioned that Buckthorn Green is genuine Sap Green. I love these colours and hope that one day I will own some.

@@WendyPaints Thanks 😊 I really hope so myself. In the meantime, I need to improve my painting skills. No point in buying expensive watercolours when I cannot put them to good use.
Hmm, nice colors, although I'm not sure about Dragon's Blood (too weak), and Slate Grey (there is no grey in it at all!)
I agree, and had also given Alina the exact same feedback on Dragon's Blood and Slate Grey. The latest version of the palette no longer has Dragon's Blood and is replaced by Rose Madder Genuine :)
I enjoyed this video! You have a new sub! I bought one of their natural 12 palettes, since I don’t mind mixing I had them pull the greens and substituted an extra yellow and red then added 2 bonus half pans a buff titanium and teal blue! I think my next purchase may be a convenience or sap green and some more earth tones

Beautiful paintings and great review! I'm really tempted to get some paints from A. Gallo as well, but can't decide between the more natural sets or the brighter/very vibrant sets....
Thank you so much! Their paints are lovely, I have their latest signature 2 set now so I'll make a CZcams video about it soon hopefully! I'm biased towards this natural set as I found that it's harder to find this range of earth shades in mainstream professional brands (except Daniel Smith and Roman Szmal which both have incredible earth ranges). I will be doing another video on the signature 2 set if you're interested to compare 😊

Hey Wendy….Just swatched this set for the first time with you! In the area where you have Dragons blood….my color chart says “Rose Madder”….but the color looks the same!

Oh yes I was among the last batch to get Dragon's Blood before it was discontinued and replaced with Rose Madder 😊 I actually picked up a Rose Madder pan separately few weeks ago so I could also switch out the Dragon's Blood and pop the Rose Madder in. I am yet to swatch the Rose Madder, do you like it?

Oh that's great to hear! Dragon's Blood was a little grainy so Rose Madder sounded like a much better alternative while still keeping the shade similar 😊 I adore the Potter's Pink shade, I'm glad you love it too! ❤ It was the first colour I used up in the palette hehe
