I've been seeing a ton of March Madness Bracket memes going around (the office ones have been my fave) so I thought we should make one for musical theatre! This bracket contains 32 different musicals that will go head to head to compete for the title of ultimate musical theatre masterpiece!
I have no idea which musicals will be included on these march madness brackets (thanks mom & dad lol), so if your fave show isn't on here-- don't worry! This is just for fun! Maybe we'll rank some more musicals again in the future? Let me know!

Same! I chose Six mainly becuase historically, I've always been more interested in the Tudors as opposed to the American revolution. (Might be because in school we get US History forced upon us...who knows!)

i never gave much thought to fiddler until i was cast as Chava a few years back. That show had the most impact on me than i believe any musical ever has. The score, the characters, the message. i swear i could watch/ perform a production of fiddler 100 times and find something new every time.

Fiddler ok the Roof was the first show I saw in general, and the first show I saw on Broadway (difficult productions but the same show if that makes sense) and obviously as a 6 & 8 year old it didn’t really make much sense, but I still loved it because I love musicals so much and now whenever I see a production of fiddler I tear up and remember what gig me to where I am :) that was a rant but I felt like a random member of the theatre cult should hear it 😂

My favourite Broadway Musical is Six...YES IT COUNTS, JUST BECAUSE IT ONLY HAD A COUPLE OF DAYS ON BROADWAY BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS-
THE MOON AND ME IS A GORGEOUS SONG😭😭😭 I actually did Addams Family with my high school. Ironically enough we had the choice between Addams Family and Shrek, we collectively chose Addams family. In my high schools production, we sadly had to cut moon and me due to a lack of time to finish the dance for that scene (umbrellas suck) Anyhow, that’s my rant. Here’s an idea: maybe you could do something similar, but they’re separate going by different composers (Sondheim, Webber, Schwartz, etc)! Idk if it would work better in brackets or just having them ranked from your least to most favorites (so it would be like “top 10 Sondheim shows” or something along those lines).

can't believe falsettos wasn't on this list!!! obviously I know you can't possibly include every musical but falsettos happens to be at the forefront of my consciousness when I consider "best musicals"...it's just one of those pieces that is truly art in itself. I know you've raved about it on this channel before so you might be kicking yourself for forgetting about it but I know you agree with me when I say that everything from the character arcs to the musicality is totally breathtaking and tells such a powerful story. Beautiful show! if I had it on my list, it may even have come out on top!
