it does not matter what style u use or even use a dimp the ball will go through the centre of the forks so ur aiming point should be between the forks if u use a dimp the shot going through the fork will not hit the target that the dimo is on it will go below the dimp that u put on the target
I agree, I would not steer away from using the aiming dimp. I think it's really important that bands are perfectly straight, inline with target. At different ranges you only want to be worrying about adjusting elavation.
Incredibly useful video - cheers john. Took up slingshot to keep myself out of trouble during lockdown and gone through a stage of just smashing the shite out of my left (fork) hand to the point where my bottle had gone. Back on parade tomorrow morning to correct that forward tilt.
Probably a silly question but with a TTF shooter why are the bands on the outside of the forks instead of inside. Does it make a huge difference in power or accuracy if the frame is banded one way or the other. Just starting making frames and I have no idea why but I banded then so the rubber wraps around the inside of the forks. Is that daft? Thanks for the tips.
Its really personal prefference, the amount of power difference from on the inside or the outside is next to nothing :) i just find it shoots better for me on the outside :)
Would this work with bands tied over the top as well ? Made all of my slingshots this way so far , and I'd have to try hone my skills , as I'm quite a poor shot with my instinctive aiming with the forks pointing upward , .....probably I could still learn your own stance ? Thanks a lot for posting , cheers , Dieter
Hey John i wondered if you could help me ive been having a really anoying Problem thats just appeared out of nowhere. The past couple of days every other shot seems fly wildly above my target. Nothing i seems to do improves this Problem and i carn't think whats causing it any ideas???? is it the release, are the bands not straight, im using my same old anchor Point i am at a lose any advice would be apreciated.
Your bands are to heavy for your ammo , try lighter bands or try heavier ammo. You will be using a ott catapult I'm guessing as TTF shouldn't give you hand slap
6yrs old this video and if shooters would just take in what your showing them to do in order to correct there problem and still a common question asked on groups and the likes is I shoot ott because I keep forkhitting the frame or hand. You’ve covered a major part of ttf shooting and that was six yrs ago. I direct all questions to your channel anyways they’ve not much hope if they can’t take tips from England’s catty man 👆🏼
Great stuff. He doesn't just sell you a catty, he helps you shoot better too. Customer service at it's best.

@@roybradshaw1222 sorry mate your wrong there, google slingshot sightline, there is a pict diagram of the trajectory and line of sight.

Another brilliant video.
Which catapult is that, where can I order one
Another great video. I’m just getting back to slingshots after fifty years or so.

Could be a flick of the wrist or flinching on release

What if your getting hand slaps on the front of your hand after you release the shot.
