Should have just funded these guys to make an animated Star Wars movie.

Better yet......take your suggestion and make it into a mini-series. It would be f***ing epic for every Star Wars fan; Sci-Fi fan, and every action-adventure fan in between. I realize the costs would be monumental at first, but even the Star Wars fans alone would make up that difference in no time (nevermind all other sci-fi fans).

Think tho. If you are just a normal trooper fighting against Sith who can jump like sixty feet high, the high ground doesn't really make much of a difference.

I think that if JRR Tolkien's Silmarillion ever got a visual adaptation, this kind of animation is the only way they can pull it off. It would just be fucking awesome!

I think it's because the "Sith" shown here are more on the level of apprentice. Where they aren't as force sensitive as their masters.
But that still raises the question of why didn't the big boss guy sense it.

If the Republic troops weren't so aggressive then they would've very quickly overrun by the Sith and all those Imperial droids and infantry.
They were Sith Warriors, who, while having the ability to use the force, and even be strong in it, don't train their powers for detection, but to augment themselves in battle. We also know that high ground means crap when non-force users fight force users. Also, there was no cover on the ridge, a tree here and there, but that's it, more cover down below. ALSO the Empire has star fighters and capital ships during that fight. If they had stayed on the ridge, Malgus could have bombarded them. Jumping down into the attack prevents the use of Air attacks, unless, Malgus decides to bomb himself and his troops.
This goes to show you, just because you have the force and a lightsaber doesn't mean someone without both can't kick your ass.
I dunno, I still think that's possible. Those lightsaber wielders are trained to reflect shots from blasters. It should have been an easy fight for them in my opinion...
But the game had a balance to maintain, so...
I mean come on, the trooper without the helmet just tackled through Siths like in American football! How would somebody with the power of force allow that to happen??
Still, I'd rather have someone with a huge frickin' gun and some brass balls over a lightsaber wielder any day.

these were suppose to be high quality graphic cinematics in 2010, but now in 2016 those are the actual graphics :D
That trooper, the leader of course( I forgot his name) was most definitely force sensitive. He charged toward the enemy, and with his strength set aside two fucking dark Sith to get at Malgus. Very impressive. A non force sensitive being wouldn't do the same.
My close combat Imperial Agent Operative can hold her own against Darth Jadus, whose power in the Force rivals that of the EMPEROR. She isn't Force-sensitive, then again I was spamming my heal abilities.
Have superior position in the beginning to kill all enemies, instead jump down to fight them 1on1 lol.

Old Republic Movie >>>> Episode 7.
Just give us a Trilogy. 1st film deals with Revan's story from the first KOTOR (get everything right especially the twist). 2nd film is a prequel, deals with the Mando war and Revan's fall. 3rd film deals resolve everything. Leave sth open. I even thought of Revan's name during his time as the trooper could be "Skywalker", so he would be the descendants of Anakin.
Or you could make whole 1st Kotor as trilogy:
1st movie: Endar spire, Taris, Jedi training, Star map search beginning
2nd movie: star maps quest, movie ending with confrotation with Darth Malak and plot twist
3rd movie: Redemption and Star Forge battle
like that I felt parts 2 and 3 would be a little bit dragged. We could combine that, then let part 3 be the definitive ending for Revan (or opening up loose ends so he can appear in the SWTOR storyline)
I'm sure Shmi had parents like ordinary ppl so I don't see problem with that.

***** Well, actually this level of CGI is already considered outdated compared to what's now considered to be top notch. The cost of this level of CGI for a full feature film has probably gone down from tens of millions to a few millions at this point. But yes, that is a lot of money still.
Yes really, this CGI is outdated, it looks freaking amazing but it pales in comparison to current CGI. It's a lot of money and will probably never be done but the CGI in itself is outdated

Just watch all the CGI videos for the Old Republic then go and play some Jedi Academy (add mods to make it sweeter) That might do the trick.

Since Disney owns Star Wars, they own the Clone Wars cartoon for kids. Cartoons and toys already bring in plenty of income for Disney. So the next Star Wars can be rated R for all they care. If they can bring in an adult audience, they'll double their income off of ticket, movie, and download sales. As well as novelty items if the new movie is a hit. Think of it in business terms my friend (:

I personally hate the fact that this is an MMO. I don't like interacting with other people when I want to get lost in a fantasy world. I loved KOTOR I&II and at first I thought The Old Republic would be a Star Wars sandbox game that could also be played online.
I know a lot of people think its awesome but I generally dislike MMO. Also I don't like paying every month for a game, haven't got that kind of cash. If I ever get a change of heart the Old Republic will be the first MMO I'll play

I have played alot of different MMO's this is the only one i come back to and its because the story is well done, you actually make choices and its fully voice acted. so its IMO the best MMO out there.
I don't fully understand the story line from this animation. Was this before or after the Clone Wars, because there appear to be clone troopers, but they're on Alderaan.

This is way before the clone wars, but as soldiers of the Galactic Republic, you can say they're 'predecessors' to the clone armies, so stuff like uniform and equipment would be similar.

LakituLP Actually, since I've played both for quite a long time, this game is way better than WoW. I never get bored like in wow because there is a story line, it is basically a campaign with multiplayer. Make your own choices and have a background to your character. I dont know if you'd like it but its worth checking out, since it is somewhat F2P

This trailer's so silly xD Like, it starts off with guys ambushing a column of enemy forces that marches through a valley. Instead of staying on that ridge where they have cover and line of fire, they JUMP DOWN and CHAAAAAARRRGE INTO BATTLE! So stylish~
So they fight in the canyon. And then the BIG BAD SITH arrives. After trying to get him with ... anti-tank missiles? (I only assume this because one exploded into his face and didn't do much damage, so maybe it was made for other purposes), our commander Shepard makes the only logical thing that can be done in the situation:
CHAAAAARRRRGE!
Yes, he thinks he can defeat a sith armed with a lightsaber, while using only an army knife. Unfortunately this gem of a strategic maneuver does not quite work out.
Oh and then that moment where a grenade exploding in his hand does not even break it.
What is more silly is to read the myriads of comments like: "These guys should make a movie!!!11"
Because as we know, poorly-thought-out, but flashy visuals always sell.

1) It wasn't an explosive grenade. It was either an EMP Grenade or a Concussion Grenade. More than likely Concussion.
2) I'd rather have used a knife and have a pair of balls than just sit there and do nothing.
Reckoning I only made that assumption based on the mechanic often used in computer games - that something strong against armored vehicles does jack shit against infantry. Otherwise, I've no idea what kind of missile it was, if it didn't kill the sith guy.
Observer29830 Still, a Sith Lord is no ordinary infantry. Sure, that missile would have blown up a decent group of normal trooper, but a Sith Lord who can protect himself from harm with the Force? Hardly any damage except visuals from that.
Logtek2 No what, should the clones just let the droids pass and allow them to destroy every place they're heading to, just because there's a sith with them? An anti-tank missile against a sith is still better than no missile at all, and it keeps him distracted, there's still jedis who help the clones.
High ground advantage was over after the surprise attack, the ledge would be overwhelmed by laserfire in about 30 seconds anyways making it useless. Savage battle cries after the initial surprise opener to draw attention and break the focus of the enemy, causing a few seconds of pause and confusion while trying to figure out how many are charging. Charge into the melee, bringing the fight right to the enemy and reducing the chance of blocked/deflected shots, cause mass confusion and breakdown.

I didn't realise until I read Deceived by Paul S Kemp that the main Sith guy in this is also Malgus earlier in the war than the Deceived trailer. Looking at his lightsaber and general style now it should have been obvious but then again I didn't think that Sith had survived after seeing the trailer originally.
