Wow, after watching this I have a new-found respect for his career and as a man. Honest working actor, never sold-out. Iconic voice, spoke with authority. Very, very well done tribute video.
He's also a very sweet and charming man. Many years ago my mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her I wanted to see him in Othello on Broadway, but she couldn't afford 2 tickets. Many, many years ago she knew him personally from their association with an organization that also had Paul Robeson as either a member or a visitor (I think it was near Silver Lake -- it was upstate NY) so after not having contact for so long, she wrote him a letter asking and he was kind enough to leave 2 free tickets at the box office for us. After the play we went backstage to thank him for the tickets and he came running down the stairs with a beautiful smile on his face and was excited to see my mother and I was just standing there happy at the sight of them saying hello to each other and chatting after all those years. He did say hello to me, shake my hand and wished me a Happy Birthday but his attention was on my mother, which is understandable as they had been friends many years earlier. It's a lovely memory.
@@1real-taylor My pleasure to share. It's a truly great memory for me now that my mother has been gone since 1984. I still feel warmth at his generosity and kindness.
made one of Robin & Billy Crystal that turns into a tribute to Robin toward the end. but maybe I'll get around to making a proper one for Robin. truthfully, he is the one artist I still cannot bring myself to watch. it still hurts. czcams.com/video/o4LuyzLpOLw/video.html

My pleasure.
The best in the game 🙌🏽
A gentleman. I appreciate the man, more than the voice. Can you feel gratitude that another person lived, touched you and you never met? Yes, you can.
James Earl Jones and Robin Williams two of my favorites growing up. LEGENDS.
He's one of the few people from Hollywood I would actually like to meet and have a conversation with.
Such a great actor. Amazing to think that he over came stuttering
His voice was afraid of itself
@@trewilliams8789 underrated comment 😂😂
You are the best of humans, thank you
Just found your channel, THANK YOU!
Well done...
One of the greatest actors of our time.
I think he played Barney in the movie of Barney & Betty Hill UFO abduction case?
"I'm not facile with words," said no one who wasn't well-spoken.
What a national treasure
Indeed
I wish his announcement to the University of Michigan was in here. It's extremely rousing.
