Fantastic content!! I was about to do product change one of my cards to BofA Cash reward card today LOL I didn't know about their preferred reward program though. I will have to check it out!

I'm definitely glad I didn't upgrade to the reserve now. I'll keep my CIP/CIC/Freedom combo for now. I have the CSP but I'll probably downgrade that to the freedom Unlimited. Still get the CIU 6months from now and rethink the CSR at a later time.

That makes sense. I think it's definitely worth reevaluating how much you are going to travel or use the benefits on cards. I'm hoping this situation doesn't last too long, but I guess we'll have to see! 👍

I was excited to get into my first travel card with the CSP and had two trips already planned out. Now 1 is cancelled and the other up in the air and still have the minimum spend to get my intro points. Should be interesting as I find out how the outbreak will affect my business. Timing of it all couldn't be worse. Yet, I'm not that worried about it, will just have to adjust and find something else to purchase in order to get my intro offer.

Sorry to hear that! I know it must be frustrating. It's definitely a strange and challenging time. If you need any help with figuring out how to make your minimum spend, let me know. I have a few older videos on the topic as well:

Great info and discussion. I’ll likely be downgrading Delta Plat to Gold after trying for retention offer. For me and player 2. Otherwise, holding off on upgrade to CSR ( not related to outbreak, just poor revamp of CSR).

Thanks! It's good that you're pursuing a retention offer. It never hurts to ask! 👍

This has been on my mind for the past 2 months and I've been thinking about changing my future apps from the United Explorer Card, the Barclay AAs and AMEX Gold to just the Chase Freedom and US Bank Cash Rewards+ card. I don't really go out and dine as much and have been leaning more towards groceries now. Also been buying more things on Amazon so might go for either the Chase Amazon Prime card or the AMEX Amazon Prime card. I currently have the Discover It, TD cash, uber barclays, CFU, CIP, CIC, and CSP. Next app should be the CIU. After the CIU, I'm thinking about applying to the Freedom, but I might not have enough limit with Chase due to the 50% household income rule for CLs. Should I cancel my CIP and try to lower all my limits? I don't see much value in the CIP this year since I'll be focusing more on school rather than my side hustle as it is my last year in college... What should I do?

I could be wrong, but I thought the limits were considered separately (i.e., business vs personal). For example, I don't think you can transfer a credit limit from a business to personal card, but you can do it from a personal to personal card. So, I would recommend applying for the Chase Freedom. If you don't get approved because of not enough available credit, I would ask to have some of your Sapphire Preferred credit line transferred to the Freedom card. Just keep in mind that the CSP requires a $5K credit line minimum. Though if your limit is higher, you can essentially apply anything over the $5K minimum toward another card (including a new card).
