I believe that Savannah knew nothing about what her parents did, she is doing great despite all the changes in her life. I never really paid much attention to the show but I always thought they were pretty funny. I know people cancelled them, but Savannah stepped up and is taking care of her family, you have to be proud of that. She seems to be holding her siblings together.

I'm no celebrity so I do not understand what it's like to manage them. But as a normal person who has taken out loans for cars, personal loans, and even credit cards, you have to a contract saying you agree to the terms. In the situation with the chrisley's, they hired a man to keep track of their finances and bills. They not only had responsibility to pay the man for doing his job, but they gave him authorization of some sort, which allowed him to bypass the chrisley's. He left them in the dark, but because it's under their name it falls back the chrisley family, not on this man. Why? Because he got immunity. Which keeps him from serving prison time and he doesn't have to pay back any money. So Chrisley's became liable. After all it was their name on the contracts, not this guy's name.
She said if someone stole 17 million what is prison gonna do for them🤔 you call it white collar crime in my community they call it robbery without a gun 🤷🏾♂️

I really like Savannah. I think it’s really amazing that she took on her siblings. That’s a huge responsibility and basically putting her life on hold over the the next 5 years! I think she and Robert are so sweet together and I wish them nothing but the very best. 💕

I’m having a hard time feeling any kind of bad for a family of fraudsters that spent other peoples money on Gucci and Prada while boasting about paying more in taxes than everybody else. If you don’t punish people for stealing $17 million because it’s gonna cost more to put him in prison, then everybody will steal. Not everything is based solely on a cost benefit analysis for that one individual. Sometimes you have to send a deterrence.

The Chrisleys (Todd and Julie) were wrong. There was evidence that proved they were guilty of their crimes. However, they did raise a good daughter. She is running successful, legitimate businesses, she is taking care of her siblings, supporting and advocating for her parents. She is not acting privileged or entitled. She is doing what one would hope to expect from their child.

Hello everyone 🙂 These comments are pretty much 50/50. I’m agreeing to disagree because people have been talking a lot about other parts of the entire situation.
I simply was giving Savannah a compliment for taking the parental responsibility for 2 family members who aren’t her own children. She’s at the age in her life where she could enjoy not being tied down management of them regardless of her money situation. Please stay positive and just say “YOU GO GIRL” since she got wrapped into this. 🫶

The sentence was way to severe 12 years and 7 years thats crazy if they did do wrong they deserve to do some time but thatis way to much i think their daughter Savanah is doing a great job she is fighting for her mother and father so before you say 20 years or whatever think about thats her parents i would fight for them too.

She’s building a case not just “asking a judge” and says there wasn’t sufficient evidence. I’m assuming you didn’t watch the full video. If what she saying is true then I don’t see the issue with her fighting for her parents. If the IRS did make a mistake and submitted wrong evidence judges aren’t going to verify that for her, she has to verify that and fight it. And yes the IRS does make mistakes there is no perfect system and I work at an accounting firm where we deal with incompetence talking with the IRS here and there.

Are you serious ...every day in the states there are 100s or more (mostly violent offenders at that) that apply for the chance to get a hearing to ask to get a favorable outcome for a commutation of their sentences. Ones who's killed, raped, tortured, kidnapped etc...and then you have those who work daily on their cases to get a shot at a new trial or overturn of sentence or get their sentence vacated and so on ...So that is ppl that are begging to get out of prison. Oh btw everyday ppl are getting wrongfully convicted of crimes that they did not do.

I’m a poor retiree who more than 10 years ago filed my taxes as I was supposed to, got a refund check and the following year, got notified that it was in error & had to be repaid. Screwed up my finances for years, trying to pay them back! But they got away with that amount of $ for how long? 🤔🧐🤨

What I heard Savannah say was, “I don’t care what my parents did. I just want them home.” In a court of law, they were found guilty by a jury of their peers. I assume Savannah is also saying all 12 of those jurors lied and wrong convicted her parents. Where’s the money then?
No. They are appealing under the pretext that one of the prosecution’s witnesses lied on the stand. If the prosecution knew they were lying, that warrants a new trial. There is a reason the appeals process exists.
Savannah also said she believes in LAW AND ORDER, her parents made wrong choices and broke the law, she should be the example for her siblings and not "white wash" the crime.

It was interesting that no one said the parents were not guilty. Not the daughter, not the lawyer. They just feel like they shouldn't be punished with jail time. $17M is a lot of money and its hard to claim thats wasn't tax evasion. And unfortunately, tax evaders have gone to prison for significantly less than $17M. I think with so many people who've gotten away with it, they must have made someone angry or refused to pay someone off.

Because they’re guilty. The government had documents showing the wire transfers and false loans. They perpetuated a huge fraud where they stole millions from several banks. Not once have they apologized or accepted their guilt.

There is so much more to this than simply saying they are guilty and should go to jail. I do think the sentences are a bit out there but there should definitely be some jail time. Her statement about not being tough on tough crime is spot on! Judicial system is a bit wacky right now.
17 years is too long. There are far worse crimes where people serve far less
