Active Listening: The Key Skill of Empathy

This video is the second in a new series I am developing on empathy. It's a "microlearning" video in that it is specifically designed to teach a particular skill, which in this case, is the use of active listening. I define active listening with an emphasis on paraphrasing the CONTENT and AFFECT of what a communication partner has said to you. I also provide an example of a reflective statement that is used in the active listening process.
