    That self adjusting suspension is hands down one of the coolest things I have seen in a LEGO build!
    I imagine that you're going to use this system in future builds as well.

    After all the years of calling LEGO out on not using dual-wheels on their trucks, you went ahead and not only fitted the biggest tires to this but also doubled them up for good measure.

    Being as late to this as I am, not much I can think to say that isn't already in the comments, beyond this:
    Your praise is very well deserved. You clearly put a lot of work into these projects, it shows. You take the time to make these creations accurate to the source material in terms of both functionality and aesthetics, which can often be a tug-of-war, especially in reduced scales. I Imagine you typically don't leave your models together all that long for the sake of reusing your parts (but even If you could somehow afford to build at the rate you do without taking anything apart, think about the sheer number and size of all your mocs-you'd need a small museum by now to store everything you've built (a museum I'd gladly visit;)), I kindly request that you make an exception here, just long enough to see it work with the leibherr mining excavator in your review. I think it's something we'd all really like to see. But if that can't happen, it's not the end of the world. And if it means more mocs to be built with its parts, then go for it.

    • @searme
      @searme  Před 4 lety

      Thanks, the truck is mostly taken apart already for parts and space, and it wouldn't match the Liebherr excavator's scale anyway - it's much too big for it.

    • @donovanellis1533
      @donovanellis1533 Před 4 lety

      @@searme Ah, it's all right. I'm sure the review will be well worth watching anyways. And I concur, that self-adjusting suspension was really neat, even if it didn't work perfectly. You know, that's another part of why I love your work so much. I don't think anyone would bat an eye if you hadn't bothered with such a feature, but you did. I like to think maybe just to see if you can. Perhaps it's a function on the real machine. But on top of everything else, your'e always trying new things, always looking for new solutions to old problems. Sometimes it works(the pneumatic remote from your JCB wastemaster), sometimes it dosen't work out (the self leveling turret you had planned for your tortoise tank, the rocket launcher from the aliens APC). You don't easily give up. And you learn from things that don't work, to develop solutions that do. And the prototypes are neat to look at, and worth documenting, because they help remind us not to underestimate what can be done with lego.
