7249 XXL Mobile Crane is a City Construction set released in 2005. It contains one XXL Mobile Crane, which has an arm that extends over 20 inches, several heavy tires, several construction materials, and two minifigures. The set also includes three work cones.
XXL Mobile Crane ist ein Baukasten der Baureihe City und der Unterbaureihe Baustelle. Der Baukasten hat 524 Teile und zwei Minifiguren. Er ist im Jahr 2005 erschien.

The golden age of CITY SERIES was from 2006 to 2009. LEGO tried to design as realitic as they could.
Yeah, I would say things from 2010-2013 were good as well. Honestly, for me, a lot of things after 2018 started to go downhill. I feel like a prime example of that is the 2020 Lego airport. There is basically no airport, but a whole lot of airplane. The part number is very inefficient with what you get. It is 669 pieces and you hardly get any airport and a lot of useless space in the plane. At least they added more mini figures, but come on, I would rather have like 3 minifigs and a whole lot of airport and plane. That's a lot better imo. The combi (passenger + cargo) style of the plane has its disadvantages. As I said, there is now a lot of useless space in the plane, and they should have just stuck with a full passenger plane and make the combi plane a separate set. Other than that, a lot of other sets are now becoming a lot smaller and it is a lot more "Lego Duplo" like than actual Lego City.
The good years in my opinion are 2005-2017 and 2020 present
well I think the older models are more primal and simpler. I don't like when things are too simple

I'm still working on rebuilding this awesome set. My Mom got it for my 7th birthday in 2007 for only 42 bucks. Appearantly it was on clearance. These days a set with that many large and preformed pieces would cost at least $180 U.S but back then sets like that cost less then $90 U.S. Sighhh, inflation rates have gone up so much in the states since then.😅🏙️

I had one when it first came out. but then I destroyed it when I was little. then my brother bought me a 2nd one for me when I got older and i kept it together. if I wanted to I could put the first one back together.

I just feel like these older Lego City sets are simply way better than the newer stuff lego has put out for the line. I mean, the prices for lego city sete are getting ridiculous, and the sets to me are just dropping in quality.
