I am using Motul 3100 20w50 for my pulsar 200 dtsi purchased in 2008 its performance was impacted due to it's age.
In 2015 friend of mine recommended me this oil after using it i am very impressed.Many pulsar owners has problems of gear shifting but after using it it was successfully resolved & experienced performance increase of 80% .
Have you tried any other motul oils? I am planning to switch to motul from the current Castrol/ Bajaj oil on my NS 200.

Used both Motul 5100 10w30 and Shell Ax7 10w30 in my Unicorn 160 bs3. Shell is better in terms of acceleration and there was no engine oil consumption in top speed runs. Motul 5100 is slightly smoother but there was engine oil consumption in relatively low speed runs. Shifted to Shell again, great value for money, 3500 kms drain interval without any problems. Also use Shell Ax7 10w40 in my older Unicorn 150, 3500 kms drain interval, no problem, running 79000 kms now. Hope this information benefit unicorn riders.

I am using castrol power 1 in my Karizma R for years. @2000km : oil top up if necessary and @ 4000km: complete oil change. No issues, everything OK..

Valvoline 20w50 semi synthetic engine oil is another gem in this list. The performance of this Engine oil is phenomenal. The amount of engine oil in my bike had gone below the required normal level but this engine oil never let me know untill I took my bike for normal lubrication, as this engine oil didn't allow my engine to produce any excess heat or vibrations, it is highly recommedable especially for those who strech oil changing Intervals.

I put shell advance 20w50 in my pulsar 220f. After riding two three kms my engine becomes very hard, starts making too much engine noise. Before I was using motul 5100 15w50. My bike was very smooth and calm. Now my bike is very aggressive and noisy
Using Motul 5100 on my Honda Shine, gear shifts have improved, engine revs freely, great performance, fuel efficiency has improved marginally.
I have used the stock Honda oil, Castrol activ scooter and valvoline on my Dio. Valvoline and Castrol seem pretty good for the price. Currently using Castrol Power and activ scoot on my NS 200 and Dio.

I have been using motul after first service of my R15 , but yesterday I be changed to yamalube due to emergency but performance is way better than motul . Is there any specific reason ??
@The Sportztourer , I'm using shell semisynthetic base AX7 10W40 JASO MA2 , since last 1 year in HERO HUNK and my experience with oil is satisfactory.
It drops it's viscosity after running 2500 km ( in medium to heavy city use ) but if you want to ride in light city traffic then it can stretch to Max 3200 km, after that it's viscosity is completely dropped.

Bro.... I was purchase Honda shine SP in March month of year 2017. The bike is 125cc with 5 speed gearbox. I was done all the first 4 free services at Honda service centre at that time and everytime with every service I change the oil with "Honda geniun oil". Literacy I done all 4 services and oil change in just 6000km of bike running or in 1year, because i want complete Honda warranty/gurranty policy. And want to protect new engine/gearbox from initials wear and tear burr and dust. After complete one year and schedule services, at 7300km I was done 5th service in 'good' private garage and change the oil with Motul 5100 semi synthetic. After that my bike gear shifting issue was solve and cold start issue also nearly to solve (pls note that this all are minor issues but as a machine lover It's very sensitive for me 🤗😊😘😜) And bike run smoothly compare to honda genuine oil use. Now my trip is 9550km.
But here is query raise that as a Honda schedule oil changing intervals time must be at 4000km but instead of mineral I used semi synthetic oil. So what should be oil changing intervals time for my bike?🤔

Thanks for sharing your experience with 5100 which is one of best oils for the Shine. In your case where the running is low I would suggest to change the oil based on time where you can stretch the drain interval in between 6-12 months. Considering drain interval based on running, in your case I would suggest you to stick to the 3500-4000km mark.

I am using hp racer 4 in my honda hornet 160r. Previously I was using Motul 7100 10w40. Performance is 20-25% better in term of smoothness and stability in higher rpm in Motul 7100 than HP racer 4. But in the price of rs 250 per litre HP is great value for money.

I have used Motul 5100 10w30 in my Bajaj Platina H gear and during highway ride, it returned 78-80 kmpl mileage. Also the engine didn't overheat much as compared to stock engine oil from bajaj.

Semi Synthetic 5100 in 10W50 grade have very similar or even exceeds performance of Fully Synthetic Castrol Power One Racer in 10W50 grade. When I switch to Motul 5100 from Power 1 Racer, i felt noticeable different on my Old Pulsar220.
However for my new Dominar, I have zeroed only on Motul 300V2 oil.
I am using motul 5100 20w50. It's amazing oil.

This is either a poor quality oil or a FAKE OIL.
The oil lacks anti-foaming agents. Just by pouring slowly, this happens, imagine how bad it will be in the crankcase.

Motul is good but only problem is it evapotes really quickly in air cooled bike ....so I would suggest go for Castrol or shell

I'm sharing what I've faced - My bike's owner manual suggest 10W40 but instead of that I had put 10W50 7100 out of curiosity and thought that it would protect my engine better. But the thing happened is fuel economy reduced, have to fiddle with air fuel mixture, sluggish at high revs. That's the difference between beating an egg and beating a pancake mix. For the later you need more effort so more fuel burnt.

for Suzuki access I previously used Motul 10w-40 semisynthetic and it was very smooth with no car vibrations upto 70kmph. I recently put Castrol power 20w-50, it's not as smooth as Motul. Even hp 10-30 semisynthetic was very smooth.
Why do you think that is the case with castrol? Is the grade 20w-50 not best grade for 125cc scooter?

Idemistu is one of best engine oil manufacturer. They are tied up with Honda2wheelers. Oil replacement time can be 2500-3000km. Also cools the engine. Most recommendable oil specially for Honda.

I'm using the Bs4 version of R15 v3 . In the authorised showroom service the bike is lubricated with Yamalube Sporty premium and it is mentioned as a fully synthetic oil but the change interval for the Yamalube is 3000km or 4 months. Generally a fully synthetic oil should have the replacement interval of over 7500 to 10000 kms . Is that 3000km of changing interval is only for yamalube or for All other synthetic oil? Can I Use Motul synthetic oil for long period ? Will that be fine ?

I am having an apache 160 rtr 2016 model and has done around 18000 km. I generally used the shell or Castrol semisynthetic oil. Recently after a servicing from the authrized place, they put in tru4 semisynthetic. I have feeling the engine is sluggish now and not that rev happy. Also slightly low mileage. Can you suggest what might the issue be?

Hi akash, aap running period k baad, after market engine oils use karna. Abhi warranty void ho sakti hai. But always look API SM hai or SN and JASO MA1 hai or MA2? Also check oil grade like 10w30 etc on tvs service center engine oil box. Then after full knowledge, ho and check out after market oils fir same specifications. Congrats for new rtr200

But i have a doubt here.
As per my knowledge like the grades of oil , specifications of oil is also important. Jaso MA ,MA2 & MB. Manufactures recommend to use MA/MA2 for wet clutch motorcycles and MB for dry clutch gearless scooters. The reason they say is that eventhough the oil is meant for lubrication , maximum lubrication provide will affect the friction needed in clutch plate which causes clutch slippage. So they made MA and MA2 with less lubricative property compared to MB in which maximum lubrication have no adverse effect. They (MB) are made especially for scooter . So won't MB oils be more efficient and effective than MA oil in the case of scooters.

i m using sym 300i scooter after travelling 600km my castrol 10W40 oil was below the low level, when i drained the oil balance is below 1 litre, so what grade of oil you suggest me, my country is Brunei temp 28 to 32c
What should i use for my aprilia 150 ...??
