Good review. Not sure why people are so focused on a turbo 4 vs a v6. At the end of the day, it’s the torque and horsepower that determine how a car gets around and this engine tops the V6’s in its class.
The AT4 is way nicer looking and you can get every feature as a Denali except a white interior (who wants white interiors?) (you can’t get power folding rear seats) other than that, the AT4 does not have ugly chrome. Chrome was cool in the 90’s. lol
We love GMC acadia Denali, and have bought each new version that they have made... however this one has us concerned that the 6 cyl isn't there and that dropping to a 4 cyl at this price point is not ideal! We are mulling and need to drive it again to decide...
You lost me at "disappointed it's touching my knees when all the way back" ... Well, of course. Recommendation: adjust the seat to a 5'11' driver and second row location, then let us know where it sits according to leg room... Basically, get in where you had it after that.
@@carsbykev7037 I was just in the AT4 today and its only comfortable if I would move the middle seat all the way to the front. Still dissapointing considering the size of this SUV. I have more 3rd row legroom in my Pilot.
@@MattTheCarguy I was in it today too. I didn't find it bad at all adjusted for 5'10". Knees didn't touch and seat sat well. I wasn't in it long though, it was just a quick try. I recall the Lexus TX (G.Highlander) better, but having to go try one again soon. The Acadia is beautiful though.
@@carsbykev7037 I have to give credit to GM for design and technology. It is much better than the previous generation. Not quite sold on the powertrain though.
@@MattTheCarguy Me neither. I didn’t drive it, but I think that’s the reason we may pass. We’ve had a 2024 Telluride for 6 months & 15k miles and it was totaled two days ago. Wife doesn’t like the Grand Highlander exterior, but hubby likes the HybridMax power and fuel economy. We like PHEVs, but the TX doesn’t have a pano-roof. We like Pano-roof.
Oh, no! I hope everyone is ok. We ended up buying 2025 Pilot. I like the naturally aspirated v6 and the roominess. Plus we got a deal we could not pass.
For 70 grand? I don't know what this dude is talking about. The one I looked at, exactly like the one he is driving, was 70 grand just came off the truck without any dealer addon's.
I cant attach a photo of the sticker but it is still on dealers lot. Here is the link www.gettelchevrolet.com/inventory/new-2024-gmc-acadia-denali-front-wheel-drive-suv-1gkenlks7rj169452/
We were so impressed , we bought one. More quiet, roomier, and better ride that our xt5.
That's awesome! Congratulations!
We're ready to buy today. Can't find the denali we're looking for. Want black exterior, light interior with 22" wheels AWD with all the top choices
I like how you kept comparing it with other vehicles. That gave a good perspective.
Thank you!

I guess the main issue foe many is the smaller displacement and the idea of turbos breaking down.
I am impressed by the microphone. Completely drowns out the vehicle noise.
I actually did it in post production.
Excellent video Matt.
Thank you!
I'm always the fan of GMC SUV's & I buy this.
It's for sale 😀
Enjoy your new Acadia Denali. if you bought it.

If you go for the AT4 you'll have no chrome. The look is personal preference. Personally i prefer At4 as well
I have to have the light interior. I live in South Carolina. Gets real hot down here.

Definitely an adjustment. The new 4 cyl is more powerful than previous v6. But as far as reliability, time will tell.
Doesn’t this have a sport drive mode that you can select on the dash? This mode increases throttle response and makes the car accelerate faster.
Possibly! I will do another one (AT4) and confirm.

No sunroof at near $60k? What are American car makers thinking with their pricing lately? Cut and cut, but more expensive..
Everything is more expensive. If you compare it to Jeep or Ford similarly equipped this one is still less expensive.
Your correct. We have the Grand Cherokee L, the price has gone up way too much since we got ours in 2021z. But, it has a sunroof! 😊
Who wants a sunroof? All they are is problems down the road with leaking to each their own I suppose but I certainly wouldn’t want one
No sun / pano roof in a Denali!?!?!?!?
Not as standard equipment this year.
204” in length is mid sized? Not sure about that. 😂😂😂
Crazy right? Yukon is their large SUV.
@@MattTheCarguy I had a hard time adjusting to the size of the new Pathfinder! I’m amazed at people driving these large vehicles!

Too much for a 4 banger
I think its priced competitively in the segment. We'll see how this brand new engine holds up after some time but looks promising.
