I don’t know why I love the lamps. Antiques. And I way more more and more. Tiffany and more.
I wish my college professors were as knowledgeable and passionate in their fields as you are! Thanks so much for what you do and for sharing this information with us!
Thanks for your comment Judith!
My favorite appraiser! Pretty, sharp, and always well- dressed!
She is always so beautiful and sassy and so smart
@@suzieq9009 Totally. She would be the girl i would be best friends with. SO sassy and filled with joy.
Always a joy watching your videos. Thank you 😊
Lamp/light......learn something new every day. Thank you.
You make me want to go to my LAS ( local antique store) and buy a third oil lamp
I’m always happy when I see there is a new Dr. Lori video. Beautiful brooch you are wearing. Please tell me those are real diamonds!
I have one of those globe lamps. It has a large painted globe on the top and the bottom part is also large, glass, but shaped differently. It is sort of a minty green with painted flowers on the top and bottom. Unfortunately, it has been electrified, but it belonged to my great grandmother and is quite sentimental. I really love it. :)
Thanks for sharing!
Dr Lori loved that brooch I love wearing mine I always wipe them down before I put them back up
Great job Dr. Lori! I learn something ever time I watch you.

found you from Drew and his light fixtures in his new home. I've binged watched and was so excited today i forgot to click LIKE. sorry.
Such a fun vid collab. Drew and I have a TON in common.
Dr. Lori, I always love the history you give on the items you look at and appraise. The history, to me, holds the most value regardless of the value of the item. I now give the same advise that you gave me - to not use eBay's completed listings as any kind of hint to determine a value of anything. I have shared this video of yours in a lamp group that I have joined. I'm not seeking any value of any of the lamps in a group like this, but rather to see all the different kinds of lamps that are out there. I love seeing all of them. I have found more then a few lamps out there myself in my thrift store travels. I just looked at a Fostoria lamp that had been converted. I passed it up because it was smaller then I was looking for (I want about a 36" lamp). I also passed it up because the socket of the lamp looked chewed (the cardboard surrounding the socket). I wasn't looking to have the whole lamp rewired. It might have likely ate up any value the lamp would have. I won't buy a lamp that I can't use and in my opinion this lamp was not in any safe condition, and so I did not buy it - as pretty as the lamp was. She wanted $75 for it, which I felt was more then fair - but that socket and it was too small. I won't burn oil in a lamp either.
Yes, the history is priceless!
I love her knowledge

Just come across you on youtube and find you and your knowledge fascinating.
Soaking it up as I'm a thrift shop freak lol, I dislike clothes shopping but give me a 'thrifty' and I search every nook lol. Yet now I can use that to my advantage.
Sad that I'll probably never get to see you 'live" as I come from New Zealand.
BUT...Can't wait to binge-watch in a bath with a bottle of wine and munchies.
Welcome! Love the people in New Zealand, they are so nice!! I'd love to come back sometime. Hope you enjoy the wine and vids!
Interesting and educational. Thanks.
Thanks Jay!
Got one. A small one about half the size
Thank you Dr. Lori! You are always a pleasure to learn from. Could we see more antique lamp appraisals please?
What seasons of Oak Island are you on? I'm watching it just to see you and learn.
I have a few videos about lamps. Did you use the search feature on my YT channel? See it on my channel's home page at czcams.com/users/drloriv
Lol I was going to watch it just to see dr Lori too!
Hi ,cool
Nice
I Just recently started using a watermark on my listings. I had no idea about the rule cause I see others I just assumed. I figured it be a good way for my buyers to recognize my listings apart from the crowd. I'm gonna leave the ones i have but not do anymore i guess.
So funny!
I have a 5 tier ceiling hanging lamp made of clay I would like to know the value

Hello doctor Lori I have a lamp that I would guess is made out of iron like an iron skillet it has three claw legs like the ball and Claw I have had it for quite some time I found it at a Peddlers Mall or an antique Mall in Georgia I really don't remember but I have always held on to it I have never seen another one like it it is very heavy. I was wondering how I could get a picture of it to you, I just started watching your videos on CZcams just a few days ago. If you would I would appreciate your help thank you.
Welcome Evelana. I can help identify your lamp. You can send me photos using a form on my website.
I picked up a cool lamp signed wovvall last week, gonna do some more research on it but i might bring it to your next live. Is that a prominent name you recognize?
Need to see it :)
Hi Dr Lori. I’m Graciela or Grace. I have a lamp which could be described as a Victorian French Style with Braided Scallop Edges with Bead Fringes on a center light surrounded by 3 lights with what I presume is a bronze sculptured stem and base. The four lights have their own original shades. Instruct me as to how I can send a picture(s) for your review and asssessment. I believe it to be of note.
Use the form on my website to send photos.
You want to talk to the man in charge or the woman who knows what's going on?
Do you value instruments? Like violins?
Yes, I look at violins. Have you seen my video of me reviewing one at czcams.com/video/jSEzJExJ434/video.html
Love your personality Dr Lori! You need to get in shape so we don’t lose you! You never see an older obese person. 😢
Thanks for your concern :)
Dr. Lori Of course! I have a girlfriend who has to lay back when she drives, she’s that overweight. She just suffered a massive heart attack. 💔 It finally hit her. Idk if she will see her 45th bday. 😭 Praying for her constantly! (She even had that stomach surgery. I called her right after & she tells me she is at KFC picking up dinner!? I wanted to throat punch her through the phone. Okay, not really, but I was pretty blown away by it & not happy w her.) IDK maybe this is her wake up call. ♥️
@@bluewaterpines8323 I'm sorry to hear about your health and thank you for your concern as well. We'll all keep good thoughts for you.
