- I was very keen to try this fully automated rotimaker @rotimatic and had a chance recently. Honestly it’s a lifesaver. It’s a perfect machine for anyone who’d like to have soft fresh homemade rotis without the hassle of kneading the dough or rolling it into those perfectly round circles. Plus you can have soft round rotis in just minutes!
Not only does it make rotis but also puris for which you just need to add 1/4 cup rava/ semolina to 1 and 1/2 cup flour. Add salted water and oil to their respective containers and let the machine do its magic!

This is good for small business and restaurants. But in Indian household it'll be a flop, you should market this towards business owners.
Maybe you have time to make chapatis from scratch or your cook is doing it. But not everyone else has time.

Positive comment but worthless machine because... Number 1 hiring a person to cook in India is much cheaper than that machine. One got fresh and handmade food easily .... Number 2 even If getting machine, I have a round raw layer of Atta not a roti... I have too cook it which again requires efforts and time plus kids and handicaps even can't do it... So it is better to make roti manually than this worthless machine... ..

What about Roti.. I heard we Maharashtrians are so used to of handmade soft rotis… this rotimatic is no match for handmade ones.
It never could be,it is just for people who are hard pressed for time and it saves some effort. Hand made roti is just an art.

Every household have a different way of preparing roti, puri, bhakri etc
Example in my house house we eat rotis as big as the plate and that too thin which aren't fluffy and puris are small and fluffy

We have a roti maker which is used to flatten a dough ball and to cook it fully, my Mom just uses it too flatten and make roti shape then she cooks it on tawa/pan BUT THE TASTE CHANGES then the one u roll with a rolling pin by hand, I don't like this taste I prefer the one with hand it's much better & authentic

There need to be a hose that connects with water supply and one that can be used to connect to a bigger oil container. Or there should be a bigger oil container.
Also need a room to store about 1 - 2 kgs of flour in it that way you dont need to keep loading it every time. It is such a hassle.
Also i would like it more if it can deep fry instead of making u do it. I mean i still need to make time to deep fry puris.

Actually it’s the opposite because machine mai mixing gradual and systematic hota hai. Since the amount of Atta and water is fixed it yields the same result every time.
A machine is a machine because it yields the same results everytime.
And that is also the reason why humans are not machines.
