Real life car review - Toyota Yaris GR Sport

- The GR Sport is the top-of-the-range version of the immensely succesful Toyota Yaris. It's more than a visual upgrade kit, Toyota slightly altered the suspension and steering, resulting in a fun to drive car that's utterly reliable and has a magnificent fuel economy. These are my impressions after driving the Yaris GR Sport for a week.
My apologies for the audio in the driving segment, the mic picked up a lot of ambient noises. In reality the Yaris isn't that noisy.

Thank you for this review Arnold, I'm in the UK and am currently driving a Honda Jazz EX hybrid which I bought new in May 2021. I'm now considering a Yaris GR Sport, It's now available with 130hp which is a slight increase on the one you are driving I believe. I have subscribed to your channel.

Hello Johan, I hope you get the car at the same time as your birthday, to make it extra special for you. May I ask what colour you have ordered and how long you have been waiting for it? I live in Jersey, channel islands and ordered mine July 2022. The dealer is saying September 2023 delivery, but I'm hoping it comes sooner. Please give your opinion of the car once you receive it. Thanks to Arnold for his great and honest review.

@@Hellhammer1980 Hi Johan, thanks for your reply. I also believe they are made in France, so fairly close for you. What a difference in supply times. The UK cars are different (lesser) spec to the ones available to you. I ordered mine with a technology pack and believe this is the cause of the delay. The dealer offered a car without tech pack and different colour right now, but I'm waiting for what I ordered. Good luck for when you receive your's, I'm very keen to hear what you think of it. Incidentally, I already drive a 2021 Yaris hybrid in design specification and think it is wonderful. I'm hoping the GR Sport is going to be better still 🤞.

Very nice review and I liked your language... Keep up the good work! One question please: this car with the premium pack for 32k euros, would make sense for you to buy? I am interested in your reply
I am not sure what the Premium Pack contains in your country, but overall this is a very sensible purchase. It offers great driving fun, reliability and a long warranty (10 years over here). If you plan to keep the car long term, any additional pack makes sense. Especially the added safety features and driver aids are very nice to have.
How is the sound system is it any good i am looking for a new car and a good system is on top of my list
In comparison with other cars in this class, I find the audio system in the Yaris surprisingly good. The optional JBL system is worth its money.
Hoi Arnold. Heeft de JBL installatie ook een subwoofer.
Volgens mij niet, ik moet even spieken in de specificaties. Bij Toyota's met een JBL premium audio zit er vaak een extra speaker centraal in het dashboard, dat heeft deze Yaris niet.
