    One of the few remaining large stadiums in the UK that are still in the same location and have still retained the 4 distinct separate stands, that could be seen in the UK decades, and has not been turned into a concrete cowpat like so many modern soulless grounds

      I totally agree with you. I was fascinated with wanting to visit HILLSBOROUGH and have been wanting to do a stadium tour here for over 3 years. COVID restrictions and living abroad made that hard for me. Finally I got to visit and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

      Exactly how I see and think about Hillsborough and football grounds around England these days!
      Sheffield people are very lucky to have Hillsborough and Brammall Lane at the heart of their city🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️🇬🇧⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

      Seems almost all of us real fans agree. But wh6 are so many of us desperate for a soulless bowl? Everton moving from Goodison is astonishing. Went with Luton when they won the league in the late 1980’s. Loudest I’ve ever heard inc. the old and new Wembley. The new Wembley is shit. The size is the only thing that gives it anything.

    Thanks for the film. All things considered I think the stadium looks in reasonable condition. Really iconic ground.

      Hi Jon, I totally agree. It’s still in very good condition and is a iconic stadium which still has the history of a classic English football stadium.

      Very true. Lots of history an fans in a big passionate city such as Sheffield. Hopefully they can at least get back to the championship this season. Nice to see them beat Newcastle on Saturday.

      True it probably does. Not sure if Sheffield Wednesday have the finances for a new stadium. But it’s nice to experience a traditional British stadium from the past compared to these modern stadiums.

    Apart from the chansiri seats the stands look like they did 30 years ago no changes at all.

      Very true. But in a way, that’s what makes it a great stadium tour. You feel the history at this iconic stadium. Also they make lack the financial support since being out the Premier League.

      @TheDockrays  Před 7 měsíci

      Very true: historically a big ground still going. An yes, the whole place needs a brush up: but I like these more traditional stadiums with a story to tell.

    One stadium would love to go. Why did they take the temporary seating out of the corner? Looks like they just painted it blue. Who had better stadium sheff u or sheff wednesday in your opinion?

    • @TheDockrays
      @TheDockrays  Před rokem

      Sheffield Wednesday is better for me. They even were a host for Euro 96 and Sheffield United wasn’t chosen. Not sure about the corner; probably doesn’t matter at the moment as don’t fill the stadium, until they get out of League 1.
