Celine's always been a vocal powerhouse, even at the age of 13!!!!!!! She's also even better live. When you think that she's been in the biz for over four decades now and she's still capable of those vocals is astounding!!!!!!

@@ShuffleUpandDeal32 Because it’s fun and exciting to listen to new people doing songs that you know. Just because Celine is amazing doesn’t mean other people are not. If people had said “ nobody compares to” singers like Patti LaBelle or Janis Joplin or Diana Ross or Joni Mitchell or Ella Fitzgerald or any number of other extremely talented female singers, they never would’ve listened to Celine in the first place.
Nothing wrong with expanding musical horizons a little bit.

I'm surprise you haven't done more Celine Dion. She has a very powerful voice. Right now her sister is taking care of her. She is the youngest of 14 kids. Right now the latest diagnoses is Stiff Person Syndrome. I hope they find treatment for her. BUT she has been singing since she was 5 years old. Some songs you would love to listen too and react. 1. Celine made this song her own, just with her voice, mannerism, and sexy Canadian, French accent. She was so much in love with her husband Rene Angelil, (who discovered her and launched her career) that she sang this song to and for him. Very touching, very loving.

Legend!! Queen!! That touch of French Canadian accent is insanely intoxicating. When I saw her live in Vegas I got to admit, her voice made me cry. Just the purity and power can't be described. she is truly a world treasure. If you get the chance see her live ..it may be better than the recordings!
Seeing this live was amazing. She is a powerhouse and incredible performer. Celine dedicated this to her late husband Rene Angélil (I saw her when her husband was still alive.). Her love story was a spring/autumn love and she was devastated when Rene passed a few years back. They have three sons. Their eldest is talented in his own right.

I saw this premiere video on VH1 in 1993. I was mesmerized.

Celine is simply amazing. I’ve seen her live twice and her performances can bring you to tears or raise you up to take in the world. I was surprised to see only a couple of reactions, can we have some more please. Below are just a few of my favourites and they include some up beat ones too. Try: Think Twice, I Drove All Night (cover of Cyndi Lauper), To Love You More, The Prayer (the original with Andrea Bocelli), I’m Alive, It’s All Comjng Back to Ne Now, Tell Him (with Barbra Streisand) and my all time favourite and a truly uplifting song That’s The Way It Is. Celine is one of those singers that as magnificent as her studio versions are, her live versions usually are even more sensational due to her ability to ad lib and let go!
This was a cover, but my favorite Celine cover is "When I need you" (can't remember who sung it. Some guy) Anyhow, it goes, "When I need love, I just close my eyes and I'm with you, And, all that I want to give you, Is only a heartbeat away." (Something like that). You should check that one out, Barry.

Have you ever heard singer call Marcelito Pomoy who covers this song and “ The Prayer “.He is incredible somebody even said he is better than Celine. Went to see her in 2019. Best concert ever! She was now going on tour in north america but cancelled due to throat illness. She was is doing europe tour after.

Yes, seeing her in concert is a must! I actually have a video of my own of her singing The Power of Love live from 2019 in Vegas. She took a hiatus from Vegas to do her Courage tour which was quickly shut down due to the mess we’re all currently living. Then she was supposed to start up another Vegas residency in November but that was cancelled until further notice because she had been experiencing muscle spasms during rehearsals. Sad sad day that was.
This song is at the tippy top of MY favorite Céline Dion songs, but she has soooooo many beautiful songs it’s difficult to pick a very favorite.

Hi Barry! Twenty years ago my partner and I made this "our song." Awesome to hear it today! Celine is a legend! So much for you to catch up on. She did a Carpool Karaoke with James Cordon, I hope you'll check it out. She sold 53 million albums in the U.S. alone. She's not in Vegas anymore, she did 70 shows a year for 8 years, 2011-2019. She is now 53 and still lives there. Speaking of Vegas, Adele has signed on to do weekend shows there. Not sure yet when that will happen. -Vickie

This was an old video of her singing the song but still has the same emotional wallop as it did when it first came out. She still sings this in her concerts. I think you would like to see her and Barbara Streisand sing together the song, Tell Him. Theirs voices are perfect together.

This was originally an Air Supply song...from down under dontcha know. I adored them in high school. I was a teen in the 70s and 80s. Celine is beautiful but Graham and Russell are great too.
She was Rene Angelil’s third wife. He was 26 years her senior. Remember. This was very scandalous because he discovered her when she was 12. Yet, they were married for twenty-two years from 1994 until his death of cancer in 2016. They have three sons-Rene-Charles (born in January 2001) and twin sons Nelson and Eddy, born in October 2010. Rene-Charles has been following in his famous mom’s footsteps by launching his own music career.
