Saw Kiss at the PA. Farmshow complex in 1974, there were protesters outside picketing about how Kiss was going to sacrifice live chickens on stage, that didn't happen but we were there for it anyway $5.00 tickets. Fn awesome.
I saw the Alive 1 tour in a 2,400 seat arena, the ticket cost 6.00. I still have dreams of that night, they went out 4 blood and took no prisoners ! 🎼🤘🔥
KISS ruled the world from 1976 until 1980. When you walked into any store and looked at the magazine racks, you always saw KISS on the covers of multiple magazines, always. For 4 straight years.
Me too, Old Sailer. Friday, February 13th, 1976, just before my sixteenth birthday. Paramount Theater in Seattle. Had no idea what I was about to see. They blew my mind. The next day at a buddy's house he had the just released Alive album which was exactly what I had experienced the night before at the concert. I was never the same again.

Damn, Peter can flat out WAIL , and on pitch...no autotune here 🤪
Best Kiss song ever.
Saw Kiss at the PA. Farmshow complex in 1974, there were protesters outside picketing about how Kiss was going to sacrifice live chickens on stage, that didn't happen but we were there for it anyway $5.00 tickets. Fn awesome.
WOW.! Just WOW.!!❤😊
Great story. 5 bucks….amazing.
I saw the Alive 1 tour in a 2,400 seat arena, the ticket cost 6.00. I still have dreams of that night, they went out 4 blood and took no prisoners ! 🎼🤘🔥
Man, that was a great performance. Saw them live twice back in the 70s. This captures the greatness
You can see why they were the hottest ticket in the 70s, great performance.
Listening to this version (for a gazillion time) and wondering how Eddie Kramer "exaggerates" Alive! Overdubs 😊
KISS ruled the world from 1976 until 1980. When you walked into any store and looked at the magazine racks, you always saw KISS on the covers of multiple magazines, always. For 4 straight years.
First concert I ever saw at 16 in 1976. Many more since then. Thanks guys.
Rock n roll at its finest... They were awesome back then you have to admit.. Kiss were the real deal.
2024 and this is still brilliant ❤
I love the songs where Peter sings lead. He was a great soul shouter.
Thanks, midnight special for releasing the KISS midnight special in great quality this wouldnt happen if this werent posted
Posters all over my walls when I was kid. So many memories
This was the way it was always supposed to sound (with the original 4) and why I fell in love with this band at 11 years old. You wanted the best, you got the best. The hottest band in the world…KISS. Ace rocks!
When KISS was really a band not a brand
Peter has that voice..great!!
I was probably 13 when this aired and I was so excited to see them on TV, which was rare back in the day I loved KISS or this version of KISS my friends and I used to see who could collect more KISS stuff than the next I had more records (still have them)
There’s a handful of Kiss songs I like and this is one.
Peter Criss, rock drummer with swing and a groovy voice!
Peter Criss destroyed his own drum set after playing Black Diamond! WOAH!!!!! 😺🥁
Peters voice is undeniable in this performance. Beat voice in the band
NO Hard Rock band and NO Heavy Metal band equals
THE 4 ORIGINALS 🔥🔥🔥🔥 KIϟϟ 🔥🔥🔥🔥
THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD, KISS😀🔥🔥🤟🏻
God I miss the 70s and 80s. This is the kiss of my youth. Just so good and so raw.
My favorite kiss song.
This is soooo EPIC! Early Kiss are pure awesomeness!
A new adult guitar student of mine (I'm 62) said he couldn't understand how I can play all kinds of music but like KISS too. I told him I didn't like KISS, I love KISS Only up to RARO though). I told him that people don't listen with their ears, they make a judgement from the image. I hear an attention to detail in the song structure and killer riff after killer riff that I just don't hear from other more respected bands of their era. That first ALIVE! holds up incredibly well to this day. The studio fixes in that are overstated. How much of this Midnight Special performance needs fixing?
The influence Kiss had on the bands and metal musicians that came after cannot be overestimated
this is it. hands down the best performance of this song ever. thank you for uploading in such high quality MS.
With this kiss song my heroes became and above all Peter Críss, the authentic, unique and original Cat Man
This song and performance stands up to any rock song ever.
Kiss , my second Concert December 27 1975 . Coup his Mom's best friend and her Daughter . We partied all the way to Louisville Gardens . What a wonderful December Night !
Love how Peter chucks his sticks at the end. Badass
Peter criss is SOOO underrated its criminal
He is possibly the most underrated and underappreciated drummer ever!!! And, my personal favorite!!!
He and God rest his soul Frankie Banalli from Quiot Riot!!!
Not true. In this gig he is KILLER... but man he sure did go to shit shortly after. In fact, until seeing this I thought he was one of the worst drummers of all time. I guess maybe the booze got to him.
THank you Midnight Special for uploading this beautiful footage!
B.L.A.C.K. D.I.A.M.O.N.D!!!
Epic performance -- one of my favorite Peter Criss songs!
Why does this sound better than the recorded version?
Kiss in their glory days
amazing as usual. saw them in Philly, excellent show, lasted hours and then some more. got your money's worth.
No matter how things ended up or what you may think of them personally or their later music, these first 4 years from 73-77, they rocked as hard as absolutely anyone. Those first three albums are legendary, start to finish, each one.
Dynasty was my first KISS tour and I never looked back! They were everything to me as a kid and still are! They are incredible!
Beautiful song. 1 million times better than that mumble rap garbage that is out today
Well as we all know, you can't spell crap without rap!
I saw this when it was originally aired, the best set the midnight special ever had.
Love the 🐈 mans soulful wailing
Peter Chris is so underrated ❤
