Rain To Be (Title Track) Mainly composed by Kanghyun (their guitarist). The song is inspired by the members themselves. Whenever Onewe has a schedule of filming. it would rain. Hence, the Korean title “The Boy Who Brings Rain”. It's one of Onewe’s songs with the fastest beat.
Veronica - The song is mainly about reminiscing the feeling of first love and was said to be completed in 5 days by the members. It has a refreshing vibe compared to the title track and was composed by CyA inspired by his first crush in preschool.
AuRoRa - This song has been performed by Onewe long before its release and was among the most anticipated songs by the fans. It’s also among Onewe’s strongest songs vocally. Composed by Kanghyun, the song has a dreamy atmosphere that attempts to capture the vibes of an actual aurora

I've been listening to zombie a ton, this is probably one of my favorite songs of the year so far, the bass line is great, the instrumental is solid and groovy and the topline is so much fun! the vocal direction and performance matched perfectly, you can tell they had fun recording it, and all those silly adlibs are just brilliant haha, a bop overall! the whole album is great tbh! pleasently surprised with Purple Kiss!

My favorite part in any purple kiss song is Yuki's fire flow. Reminds me a lot of pH-1 where their flows just fit with any song and genre. It feels melodic in a way

What I love about this song is that all the production choices like the screams, the cheering, the random onomatopoeias , the ad libs all work in harmony to create just the funnest listening experience.
Also shoutout to Yuki for rapping her heart out, her writing throughout the album is phenomenal.

Twinkle has become my top listened song to of all time in such a small time. From the vocals, to the rap section, the use of the synth pattern AND type, and to go into that SUPER fun tropical house drop was JUST my cup of tea. Shoutout to Cast Pearls Before Swine as well because that is also another BANGER to listen to with high quality audio.

I'm fully in love with this song. So catchy, the vocals are fantastic, and Yuki's rap was the best I've heard in a mainstream k-pop song in a very long time. The song's so good it's gotten me into Purple Kiss and I've learnt the members' names. Here's hoping they continue making such amazing pop music!

While I really enjoyed Ponzona, this feels a lot more fitting for them as a group. They found a good sound here though I recognize they're probally gonna jump around like Mamamoo.
I do hope they keep some dark tones whatever they try. They really fit darker concepts even if they are on the more silly/cute side like Zombie.
My favorite bsides are ZzZz and 2AM. So far. It changes a lot.
Yeah in the end it’s up to what they want to do, but I LOVED the ponzona concept and I hope they come back to it at some point

Purple Kiss for me is the most exciting new Girl Group currently in kpop. They've hit the target on all fronts.

Like Kevin said Zombie is a grower. It didn't immediately jump out at me when I first listened to the album but the more I listened to it the more satisfying it was. It's just a really well-made song with top notch production. It's super fun and Yuki's rap parts along with the bridge are my favorites.

I freakin' love this channel! Y'all the best! This song has grown on me so much, not that I wasn't into it to begin with. It's a comeback from one of the four horsemen after all, even if it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I'm a sucker for songs with a funky vibe though, so not sure how valid my opinion actually is. Also, "Purple Kiss on bloody top" is one of the most metal things I've ever heard.

This song is one my favourites from 2021. That it's a bop is amazing but the production values are astonishingly high and are a great match for the clear talents of the girls.

The high note is an interesting topic I want to talk about. New kpop songs nowadays don't really have climax anymore, I feel like they lean towards either a more experienced sound and structure of the song or a chill and relaxed vibe which doesn't leave space for climax. "Zombie" has a climax with Goeun's high note and that's one of the reason why I like this song. However, it also didn't go fully explosive like Umu expected it to be, which is one of a must-have feature of older kpop songs, maybe from early 3rd gen and earlier. That change in music style is one interesting thing that I notice recently.
