This interview was deeper and more profound than 99% of kpop interviews out there, I'm not even their fan, but I will check out their music now because the group seems to be invested - and involved - in expressing their musicality.

This game and questions are so refreshing and interesting, far better than those interviews that give the same boring questions and you showed actual interest and appreciation for the girls which I'm sure made them really happy! I'm glad you got this chance and I hope this will be your opening to hanging out with more kpop idols (fingers crossed for mamamoo)

the questions were amazing! I loved how you acknowledged the fact that many new groups are often compared to their seniors, especially in the case of Purple Kiss, but that you reinvented a new and honestly much better question to ask. The way it was flipped was so nice and interesting

I think a lot of our channel followers are aware I'm a huge MAMAMOO fan and were looking forward to me asking about them, but after reviewing all of Purple Kiss' past interviews, I realized they were asked about MAMAMOO in every single one. So then I realized it may be more fun for PK if I asked the opposite of the question that they usually get asked 😝

i really appreciate this interview with PURPLE KISS, you really asked them as artists and not just as idols. these are not the usual kpop idol questions, it's rather about the creative process, how the songwriting goes, the group dynamic when they make music, the techniques they use, etc. thank you from a musician to another musician, for recognizing PURPLE KISS like that, this is one of the things they want to be known for!

This entire video is a brilliant concept. The piano arrangements of the songs are fantastic, and it's simultaneously awesome and maddening to recognize a song I know in piano form but not quite be able to put my finger on it. This channel continues to be so good, excellent work as usual.
Purple Kiss is one of my favorite Kpop groups and they have so much talents. They even write their own songs! I hope more people will discover and stan this amazing group.
this interview is so fresh because nobody really interviews kpop artists about their process and their thoughts on working in the industry. this group is so involved in their music and they're all really likeable, i might just have to stan!

I’m really enjoying this interview series already. The arrangement is always so good (from a commoners standpoint though :)) and it’s fun to play along too. The questions are also very creative and provide lots of insights as well. I’m glad Umu and the crew found sth distinctive for the channel!
I love love love when idols talk about music! like that's the core of all kpop, their love for music and sadly we almost never hear of it directly from the artist, this interview was so fun and refreshing, good work y'all!!

this is one of the best interviews i've watched. Umu did great at showing interest to the girls and using the game, which Kevin amazingly arranged btw, to make a lively atmosphere while talking is refreshing. it was fun watching, hope you do more of this with other groups!

Purple Kiss has really impressed me this year. They seem very intelligent, well spoken and composed for such a young group. I can definitely sense the RBW/ Mamamoo influence in them and to me that is a very good thing. Hide and Seek is such a fun comeback and I love how they aren't afraid to show their silly and kitschy selves while still giving us great music. Excellent interview Umu and Kevin!

Everything about this was great, from Kevin’s arrangements and playing to Umu’s questions to Purple Kiss’s answers. So often when I’ve seen K-pop idols interviewed it’s as if they’ve taken Crash Davis’s advice in Bull Durham to heart and only answer in cliches and vague generalities but the PK members were giving substantive, thoughtful replies. Thanks!

Purple Kiss just released their 1st ever comeback with "Hide&Seek" on September 9th with the title track Zombie, please do check it out, the song is amazing, and the album is one of my favourite of the year!
This is the best idol interwiev ever saw.
Those piano versions of kpop songs sound so beautiful, it has the intensity of the song but not the noise of it, if that makes sense...
Everything about this is stunning. The piano arrangements (I need them all), the interesting questions, the questions being connected to whatever song was playing, the editing, the happy energy! I've never heard kpop songs arranged so beautifully. Kevin did an amazing job playing them

You can tell they have passion and ambition when they're not given composing lessons or evaluations with mandatory self-written songs and yet they still want to do all of that

god the questions are just so good. i really love that you're really treating them as professionals and musicians rather than just idols. it feels really respectful? i have never realised we need more of these sorts of interviews and i am really going to be judging interviews that don't do this LOL. even though I'm not personally a fan of Purple Kiss I really enjoyed watching this and learning more about them

i didn't know about purple kiss before but i watched all the way through because all of them had very interesting answers and also they seem like really kind girls!! if anyone here happens to be a fan would you have songs of theirs besides their title tracks to recommend?
it depends on what you want to listen to. their more popular bsides are skip skip from Into Violet and Cast Pearls before swine from Hide and Seek. they're seen in the fandom as "alternate title tracks" if you will.
They've had a bit of issues with line distribution on their releases (especially on the debut mini) , so if you want a good balance of their vocals, Zzzz from Hide and Seek is probably the best. Can we talk again is a song with only vocal line (goeun, Chaein and swan) + Yuki rapping. my favorite song is period from Into Violet and twinkle from Hide and Seek.
but their discography is so varied that all their songs are worth a listen if you like their voices.

also note that all girls have actively participated in their discography in both their albums!! if you look up the credits you'll see that yuki (the japanese rapper) wrote all her raps in basically all their songs so far, she's currently the second most credited 4th gen female idol in komca! chaein composed so why, goeun and dosie also helped with composing in hide & seek and they have been credited for their choreographies as well!
