This song well, at least to me is a metaphor for a cage he is In the cage being force-fed lies and when he is let out of that cage he is just someone else's puppet a toy (this is what I gather from this song)
i didn’t understand what an alamo was, so that part of the song never made sense to me. my father explained it to me and it made me want to cry. if you don’t know he’s basically sayi nag he’s going to stand his ground even though he knows he’s not going to win. the alamo was a fort of 400 american soldiers during the spanish american was who knew 10,000 spanish troops were coming to kill them. they had the chance to run, but they stood there and fought anyway because they knew they had to fight for their country. this song is so much more deep and amazing now that i know what that means. oml

There is such a contrasting message between the general lyrics and the rap/talking part...The first one emits such a positive message and the latter one is just so sad...

I love how he already is adapting different styles of music into one. In the beginning, he starts of slow like any other song. But this start was a bit different. He included a bit of scat into the chorus which I thought was clever. Also I love how at the end he included a bit of rap/talking emit which if you listen carefully to, had a lot of meaning that i interpreted. Overall, top 3 Alec Benjamin songs of all time, and I love how active you are during these times by keeping everyone motivated and happy with your music. Love the album!
I interpret two things in the song actually.. First
He sings in a happy voice that he will fight and wants to live but when the rap part comes he says he isn't fine and then comes the happy part again.. Maybe he is singing about the ups and downs of life. The times were you feel like no matter what happens, life is beautiful and worth fighting for. But there are also downs were you feel crushed and overwhelmed, but you stand up after some time and find hapiness and joy again in life.
Or the second meaning...it sounds like somewhat depression. Like you feel motivated and all, like nothing could take you down and bam life punches you wihlth memories orjust bad luck in the face and you are feeling dowm, but hiding it. Pretending like everything's okay. Ok actually got a third one in my head just now xD
In the song he never felt fine, but pretended like he was and walked around smiling and telling everyone how beautiful life is, but deep inside he is really sad if not depressed and just doesn't see the point in fighting anymore. And screams for help silently, but as soon somebody comes he pretends like everything is fine.

We don't hear about it, but it happens all the time. Schools don't teach about slavery (not the teachers fault, they just do as they're told)
