On your android device. Download LS Droid from the Website.
On your PC download Tuner Pro RT ( You do not need to register)
click on this link and join.

You will need to download their XDF files
(1999-2002 ECM are 512kb)
(2003-2007 ECMs are 1mb) keep that in mind when downloading the appropriate XDF files
Build a bench harness for your ecm,
Read your ecm with OBDLink LX or MX ( $50 on amazon)
Transmit the data from ur phone to pc. Open Tuner Pro, Select new XDF file. (which you should have already downloaded after registering with GearheadEFI)
The info on ur phone is saved as a BIN. Upload your bin..
Screw with the factory settings... Save BIn as..
Save new bin onto your phone. and Upload back onto ECM via Bluetooth
Its that easy..
The hardest part is mastering tuner pro.

I’ve seen another video on how to do this and it indicated the the operating system (xdf) should match the PCM OS number. If they are not the same, you may see some of your tables not populated properly. You may want to take another look at that bin in TunePro.
Another easy way to figure stuff out is use hpt open a cammed tune file and put everything in respective formats(grams kpa etc) transfer to tuner pro and have a tune 95% of the way there it's nice having the free tuning capabilities but it's going to take a while to get a repository going

I have a locked ecm(due to a box performance tuner glitch) for a 99-02 Silverado with the correct vin# and up to date GM reflash specs. I now have a used ecm from a different truck (99-02) in my truck which got the truck running again. Could any of this process ,or in your other vids, allow me to transfer all the correct info(vin#/tuning specs) from the locked ecm into the used replacement ecm?

If i have a bin saved from the last time i made changes to my pcm would i need to read the pcm again, or can i use the last bin to make changes and write it to the pcm

This seems like a pretty simple process. For $50 and a little bit of time to build the harness I'll try it out with a spare ECU that I have.
hey dude i cant get Ls droid to work on either android phones i have. one isnt hooked up to a cell subscription but can download via wifi, it downloads lsdroid but gets stuck trying to register. , the other isnt a typical android and cant download from playstore, downloaded via browser and it installed and opened but again wouldnt register; saying bad argument error whatever that means? is there other ways with OBD2 Lx dongle to do this?

i finally was able to tune my pcm, supposedly successfully. All i needed was vats removed and fans turned on but was a process.
First i tried LS droid and it wouldnt register to either phone i tried and the creator got pissy with me n acted like im an idiot.
So instead I used PcmHammer to easily read entire pcm 1st time and save as stock bin.
then used tunerpro with my 1221256 OS to change vats and turn on/off temps for fans
BUT when i went to save this file it gave me a checksum error
Then i had to search around for the checksum creator for the checksum DLL, he gave me one but that didnt seem to work either.
Next i even tried the Legacy version of LS droid on my new Android kingpad k10
It wouldnt work either
Next i even tried the rt version of tunerpro and even it gave me the checksum error.
Finally the checksum error creator gave me his tuning software which automatically corrects the checksums. it worked instantly. After all this 2 week long ordeal that seemed too easy, so i waited till i found a 2nd pcm in case i bricked it.
Then i found one for cheap too, so i tried using pcmhammer to write the original pcm with my original modded bin files and sure enough pcmhammer said file is corrupt , it will brick your pcm
So then i tried the checksum fixed bin and voila it wrote first try.
Only took an entire month to tune from first time i read the pcm till today.
We shall see tomorow morning when its not 36 Celcius out if this new tune will not only run but turn on/off my electric fans. FINGERS CROSSED.

how come i cant find xdf files like you did i am registered with gearhead efi but my pages dont look the same keep in mind im very computer illiteret
So I read my BIN and transferred it to my PC but I can't seem to find an XDF for BIN 12579405. I had read that the 2004 XDF/BIN 12587603 is a generic one that's compatible with almost all P59. When I try to flash my ECU with LS Droid it says that it isn't compatible with my ECU. Do you know of any BIN/XDF that is compatible? Sorry for the bothersome question since I'm still new to this.
I checked my spare ECU to see if I could use that one but it's OS is 12593058 and after some digging both of my ECU's are Intel only units which didn't allow either of them to be flashed with 12587603. Any help would be appreciated.
@@frankvaldez8873 Frank, I am 100% learning, but how I understand it is:
You download an OS and a XDF that is compatible with your ecu. You flash both, and then you can read it back and work out the files.
What version of LS droid do you have? I am able to read the PCM but I cannot write onto the PCM because I don’t have the version that allows me to write.

Can you give us the link to the XPD file that you used from GEARHEAD to populate the TUNER PRO? I'm not clear on which one to use and the SERV # 12589462 so that I can use drive by cable instead of the DBW because I am using a 200 4R. And I have no idea what Im doing! But like everyone else I would like to try and give it a shot.
Any file that is listed as a 512kb ECM will work for what youre doing.

Man i'v tried for nearly a month to get registered so I could download the xdf I need could you help me out. Iv got a 99 5.3 with 4l60e I'm trying to start in my blazer and I'm just not getting anywhere. I got my pcm copied with ls Droid just need the xdf.
I just did my 05 ecm. I think it worked. Find out soon. Fingers crossed
