Thanks I was making some for Christmas and watching videos always helps me to be more efficient so even if I planned ahead I might see something I didn't think of. Also I was curious about other decorative options I hadn't thought of.
That is a great way to store your chocolate melts. Thank you🤗🤗
Awesome tutorial. I am getting ready to make them right now. I watched a lot of videos on this but I really like yours the best 😊

Truly appreciate this!
Genious! I've dipped pretzels many times over the years. It's always been a rather messy situation with not always picture-perfect results (although always tasty!). In this short video, you've given me several tips making it easy to cleanly dip and decorate resulting in an "Etsy worthy" product. Thanks Lady Behind the curtain!
Glad it was helpful!

hi, love the tips!!! now i am wondering how you got those colors on the candy melts?
Hi Jeanette, the candy melts come in those colors.
at first i was nervous but you made it seem so simple
+Kaisha Carter Awww....thanks!
i Just found your page and I like it ..I'll be making this as a thank you/sweet snack for the nurses or guest for my baby girl due on April 5 ..how early do you thing I can make them? thank you
+Palmira Radilla I think they would be fine done a week in advance as long as you stored them in an airtight container.
+Lady Behind The Curtain thank you !! I'm think it's worth to take the risk to wait
Did you decorate both sides of the pretzel? I didn't see that. Can't wait to try
+Vivian Pankey I only usually only decorate one side.
So what is that tool you used to scrape excess dry chocolate off? And how long do you refrigerate preztels?
Hi, I used a microplane grater. I usually refrigerate them about 10 minutes. I have a great post explaining everything here→www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/decorate-pretzels/
Good evening ma'am where do you get the sparkles ? Well where do you buy it at ?
Lisveet Armada I get most of my sprinkles from a bakery supply store but Michael's and Walmart have a nice selection.
Just finish this 10 min ago thank u!
Yay! That's Awesome Vivian!
Do you add the shortening after you melt the candy melts?
+Vanessa Baltazar I usually add it with the candy as I melt it.
How do I get them to last longer without melting while sharing at a party? I notice they stay hard as long as they are refrigerated. Once I decorate a treat table they start melting.
Hi Ru, Candy melts do not do well in the refrigerator for a long period of time. The candy doesn't like the moisture of the refrigerator. That could be effecting the integrity of the candy. Also, the candy doesn't like warm temperatures. A cool dry environment is your best friend. Summertime makes that a challenge.
Do you have a video on how to make these with white chocolate?
Hi Christie, I only use melting candy or melting chips with the sole purpose of decorating. The reason is....these candies have already been tempered and will harden. Here is a link to a post I think you might find helpful. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CANDY MELTS→www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-candy-melts/
May I ask where did you buy big container of sprinkles?
+Myra Lynn I get them at a local bakery shop. They have a website you can order from. Here's the link: www.cakearts.com/
Can you dip those in melted jolly rancher candy
Shortening as in lard? Or would something else work?
Tina Gardea No lard...vegetable shortening
Did you add shortening to your candy melt? If so, why?
Yes Linda I did add some shortening. Some of the colors melt thicker then others. The bright pink is the worst, but if you add a little bit of shortening it will loosen the candy and make it easier to drizzle. Make sure to only add fat based products otherwise the candy will separate. I hope this helps. Thanks for visiting!
Butter or margarine and how much? A slice?
Hi what’s the best way to melt the candy?
Hi Crystal, This post should answer all your questions. www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/decorate-pretzels/
Are you new your subscribers are shocking lol I honestly think you should have like 100,000 or more!! You present it all so well I'm a new subscriber hope you gain!
+Lilly Stephens Thanks so much for the sweet words of encouragement.
How are these pretzel stored after they've already been dipped?
Pretzel bags...
May i Ask if you need to put it in a ref?
Hi Maria, I only put the pretzels in the refrigerator for a short time to quickly harden the melted candy. Put for long term the candy doesn't like the moisture. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature. This post should give you all the information you need. www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/decorate-pretzels/
What is this microcleaner tool? Where can I find it?
Hi Sharon, A micro plane is a fine shredder. It can be found at most stores that sell kitchen tools. This post should answer all your questions. www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/decorate-pretzels/
what's the shortening for?
+China Serna I add some shortening to loosen the candy a bit. It makes drizzling a little easier.
Please can you use chocolate answer I have an occasion on Sunday
Mbatuegwu Paul Hi, I recommend using melting chocolate ( candy melts from Wilton or melting wafers from Ghirardelli) not baking chocolate (chocolate chips). I hope this helps and you have a great event !
Why don't you use a tall cup.for dipping the pretzels?
Hi Montiq, I have found that using a tall glass makes the dipping process easy but the shaking off of the excess candy difficult. So I prefer a bowl.
I saw a lady put her melted chocolate in a tall plastic cup. Genius.
Hi Rachel, I've tried that method and didn't like it.
How much shorting do you use?
Ramona Hudson I add a tablespoon at a time. You want to be careful about getting the candy too thin.
Thank u
Hey did you see my new video? Be kind it's my first. I had some stumbles but it was fun.

Christine Ryan Thanks Christine.
It was great. It was clear concise and simplified. I make them all the time but I enjoyed your video.
Are candy melts the same as chocolate?
No, candy melts will harden when cooled. Chocolate won't give you the same hard shell.
Thank you very much for your reply.
Where/how should they be stored?
Angela Navarro They should be stored in an airtight container.
@@LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl thank you very much
where can i get pretzels of that size
Iesha D most grocery stores even dollar tree has them.
Lady Behind The Curtain Thank you very much! I found them but my first time didn't go that well...at least the pink didn't. I did get with the chocolate.
I have trouble with the pink too. Add shortening to the candy chips before melting them about 1 tablespoon of shortening to 1 1/2 cups of candy melts.
How long I can make in advance?
Arlyn B. At least a week.
Lady Behind The Curtain thank you.
thanks
You're Welcome Tykia!
