    Genious! I've dipped pretzels many times over the years. It's always been a rather messy situation with not always picture-perfect results (although always tasty!). In this short video, you've given me several tips making it easy to cleanly dip and decorate resulting in an "Etsy worthy" product. Thanks Lady Behind the curtain!

  • @rub8415
    @rub8415 Před rokem +1

    How do I get them to last longer without melting while sharing at a party? I notice they stay hard as long as they are refrigerated. Once I decorate a treat table they start melting.

    • @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl
      @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl  Před rokem

      Hi Ru, Candy melts do not do well in the refrigerator for a long period of time. The candy doesn't like the moisture of the refrigerator. That could be effecting the integrity of the candy. Also, the candy doesn't like warm temperatures. A cool dry environment is your best friend. Summertime makes that a challenge.

    Do you have a video on how to make these with white chocolate?

    • @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl
      @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl  Před rokem +1

      Hi Christie, I only use melting candy or melting chips with the sole purpose of decorating. The reason is....these candies have already been tempered and will harden. Here is a link to a post I think you might find helpful. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CANDY MELTS→www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-candy-melts/

    Did you add shortening to your candy melt? If so, why?

    • @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl
      @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl  Před 6 lety +2

      Yes Linda I did add some shortening. Some of the colors melt thicker then others. The bright pink is the worst, but if you add a little bit of shortening it will loosen the candy and make it easier to drizzle. Make sure to only add fat based products otherwise the candy will separate. I hope this helps. Thanks for visiting!

    • @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl
      @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl  Před 2 lety

      Hi Maria, I only put the pretzels in the refrigerator for a short time to quickly harden the melted candy. Put for long term the candy doesn't like the moisture. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature. This post should give you all the information you need. www.ladybehindthecurtain.com/decorate-pretzels/

    Why don't you use a tall cup.for dipping the pretzels?

    • @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl
      @LadyBehindTheCurtainSheryl  Před rokem

      Hi Montiq, I have found that using a tall glass makes the dipping process easy but the shaking off of the excess candy difficult. So I prefer a bowl.
