Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods / How To Make Dipped Pretzels

- DIY Chocolate Covered Pretzels. This was a simple, no frills dessert table for my son’s surprise 18th birthday party. I love frills, but him...not so much!
You can also use a tall mug or cup to dip your pretzels. When I’m making a lot of different treats, I just find it easier to dip them all in the same container.

Hi! I’m 13 years old and I’m planning a surprise party for my mom and this tutorial video helped a lot! Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear it was helpful! Good luck with your mom’s party! That’s so sweet of you! I’m sure she’ll be so pleased! 💕
@@DamenicaJ Yep, she loved them! My family ate them all though so I’m gonna make more tomorrow 😂
Lol! Make them help you this time! 😂
That’s so sweet
So proud of you!
I gotta say the time you take to make sure that the pretzels are very clean and they don't look sloppy. I gotta say by far the best I have seen. You go girl!
I agree. A perfectionist for sure . Thank you
I have watched multiple videos on dipped pretzels and hands down, yours is the best. Not only do I like how you have less pretzel at the bottom, but the extra step of trimming the excess chocolate with the knife makes yours so much prettier. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!
Hands down your tutorial is the best!! You’ve really helped me!
@@DamenicaJ love this video. Great job
This is the best video I've seen doing these treats.😊 You did an awesome job.👏🏽👏🏽 They're so neat and pretty. You truly take pride in your work. Thanks for sharing!❤
By far the best video with the precise demonstration I've watched so far!!! Definitely following !! Thank you.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like I can make them now. Thanks!
Thanks for getting right to it with a good demonstration and NO jabbering .......I loved your application of the chocolate too....best I've seen so far ! Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much!! ☺️☺️ Merry Christmas to you too!
Damenica: Those pretzels were absolutely perfect. I learned quite a bit watching this. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. If I were a teacher, I'd give you an A+++ :)

Awesome job, such perfectionism , now i know how
I love how accurate you are in the video. I also love how clean your lines are. Perfect!
Thank you so much!! 💕 Sorry for the delayed response...my channel was hacked and I just got it back!
Damenica J. You are welcome. I’m glad you got it back.
Thank you!! I am too! It sure took long enough (over a month), but it was my fault in the first place. I was sent a fraudulent YT email with a link that I clicked on. As soon as I clicked it I thought, why did I do that, but it was too late. 😩
Wow! You are so creative! I loved everything about this video. Everything looked perfect and clean.
Thank you so much! ☺️
Thanks for the drizzle bag tip!
Thanks for sharing!! I'm going to do this for my mom birthday party
Those are so pretty!
These are beautiful and so neatly done! But, I have to say OMG to your ring! It's gorgeous!

I have not heard of this such magic... these "Krispy Treat Pops" you speak of...
First time viewer and subscriber. It is a very good tutorial the pretzels were so neat and pretty

You have inspired me!! I've been wanting to do this and cupcakes for so long. You are appreciated!

Great technique and beautiful pretzels! I have a ton to make this weekend! I needed inspiration! I got it now! 🥰
Thank you!!! 😊 I’m sure your treats turned out awesome!!
I loveeeee the way that you took your time to describe your perfected craft; Really Pretty!! New subbie here! ⚘
@@DamenicaJ Welcomes Ladii!⚘
Awesome tutorial!!! My 11 yo daughter wants to make these. Two questions, How do you keep the chocolate from hardening while you’re working? It looks like the spooning took a long time. My chocolate would have been hard by then. Do you have a method for not having flat backs?
You did an amazing job! Everything was so nice and neat.
Thank you so much! ☺️💕 Sorry for the delayed response, my channel was hacked and I just got it back. 😩
@@DamenicaJ I followed your instructions to theT and got perfect results for my neice's baby shower! And to top it off, the baby arrived on the day of the shower. 😍
Nice!!!! 🙌🏾 Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the new baby!!! How exciting! Enjoy your new little niece!
I'm gonna try, wish you were here to guide me. Thank you so much for the video!
Wow!! Perfect and beautiful treats!
So I’m not the only one watching this 5 years later! 👍🏼
Thank you!! ☺️
Awesome thank you
The clear tray the pretzels are laying on what type of material? Where did you get them?
This video helped me so much. Thank you!
Glad to hear! ☺️ Thank you for sharing!
your amazing at that :)
Using this in a bake off against my mom. Going to knock everybody's socks off
Sounds fun!! I hope you win! Thanks for watching! ☺️
You are excellent, I watched a lot of videos, and believe me you're is the BEST nice and neat finished products. Our daughters wedding shower is coming up and I've been so nervous to make these. I just don't know how many candy melts, I will be making the bride and grooms there will be a 150. Please wish me luck, thank you so very much!! 💜
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! ☺️ It depends on what treats you’re making, but I normally get about a dozen dipped strawberries to each bag of candy melts. You’d probably get more than a dozen pretzels per bag. Good luck with your treats for your daughter’s wedding! Congratulations!
Hi do u think I can add the sprinkles right after I have dipped in the chocolate thank u
Great Idea for the hoidays good video
Is there a store I can get it from instead of Amazon?
Very creative thank you for you sharing
Thank you! ❤️
I'm, 12 and I'll be making these for Fourth of July just a little tip for people who don't have parchment paper because I used my parchment paper will making them macaroons for fourth of July a nonstick pan with a little bit of butter or oil works just fine.
Thank you for the tip! Have a great holiday weekend!
Great tutorial! Thank you!!!
Thank you!!! ☺️💕
I absolutely love this idea for valentine's day birthday etc. N I like the fact that you take the chocolate down to the end because l don't want it just half down thank you for sharing
Thank you
Use a very tall big cup instead then you can just dip it. Thank you. I need to make this.
@@DamenicaJ ok your video was only on pretzel rods I believe. Just informing the viewers. 😍
I agree! I just use a champagne glass and dip my pretzels in it then shake off the access. Then I put it on parchment and if there’s too much extra chocolate I just move the rod to another spot to dry and the excess is left in the parchment.
@@melaniesaechao1788 how do you keep the chocolate melted in the champagne glass?
Magda Ortiz I just add more warm chocolate in it and stir it and it keeps the bottom melted. Or you can dump it back in the double boiler and spoon it back into the champagne glass.
Where did u get the pretzels at because I can’t find them at Walmart or in store ??
After watching this therapeutic video. I'm going to attempt to makes these for My daughter's 13th Birthday 🤞 Wish me Luck😊
Thank you for watching! ☺️ Good luck!! 🍀
Would it be easier to dip them in a tall container?
Where do ypu store them until the party?
I rather do these the night before but can I put them in the fridge? Or do can they be left out?
OH I forgot what brand of chocolate are you using n is it the same as chocolate chips on a cookie
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you!
All hail the queen!!! ❤❤❤❤❤👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
How far in advance can you make these before the big day?
You display your passion for cooking, candy making. I love how detailed you are and will try making these for a Bake Sale. Can you make them ahead and freeze? How long do they stay fresh?
Thank you so much! 😊 Yes, you can make them ahead of time. You can freeze them, or store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They’ll stay fresh according to the date on the package of the chocolate and the pretzels. Thank you for watching!
Can i use the same chocolate for strawberrys 🍓
May I ask if you're using a glass bowl? Does it matter?
I want you as my friend… Wow!! Great job!
💕☺️
These are nice! Is your bracelet from Brighton?
THESE ARE GOOD.... MY FAMILY MADE SO FOR HER DAUGHTER BIRTHDAY
@@DamenicaJ YOU ARE SO WELCOME
Do you know if I could use a crockpot on low or warm to melt the chocolate or would that method burn the chocolate? Thank you & Happy Holidays!
I have filled my crockpot half way with water on warm heat and put chocolate in Mason jars and dipped from there
Is there a way to avoid the flat backs
Love it but can I make a suggestion I do the same work I use a egg large container and I stand my pretzels so it won’t leave the edge lines on the back try it it looks nice
Yes! Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll have to try that!
5 years later and I’m impressed. I will be making these for a baby shower. Thank you! I’ve never heard of the melting flake things. Are they pretty necessary?
Thank you so much!! You can use a little vegetable oil as a substitute to thin out the candy melts. I find that thinning it out is necessary with Wilton and other store bought brands. I’m sure your treats will be a hit for the shower!!
These came out so pretty! Do you know about how many bags of candy melts may be needed to cover about 40 pretzel rods?
Approximately 1 bag
Where did you purchase the pretzel rods?
I tried making these but the candy melt came off from the bottom of the pretzel. Any tips or tricks ?
❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Where can I get the bowls and trays that you have the pretzels on?
Thank you :)
Beautiful
Thank you! ☺️
Hello! I love your video. How far in advance can one make the dipped treats?
Damenica thank you so much
How long does it take to make these?
Nice work.:: u have a video for rice krispy treats
Did you smooth the chocolate with the back of the spoon before shaking off access chocolate?
Damenica thank you soo much!!
Cute 😍
Thank you!
Best video for learning stored in my favorites..
#DamenicaJ.
I've done it pretzels a couple of times now, gave the first ones away, but this second batch was an order (for 6 @ $3 ea.) 1st batch I didn't/wasn't able to do drizzle, this batch I did, I bought some candy melt piping bags and did some drizzles over them and then did white sanding sugar on them, they're regular chocolate flavored candy melts, mixed with almond bark and some coconut oil ... 😊😊😊😊😊 I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD of myself for doing something out of my comfort zone and I DID IT!!!! 😊😊😊😊
Thanks for your video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s awesome!!!! You should be very proud!! I love trying new creative things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience! 💕
I would like to see dip cookies
I'm making these for my friends baby shower!
Nice!! Congrats to the mom to be!
Thank you! New subscriber here 😊
Thank you! ☺️
What else can I use to thin the chocolate? I always struggle with that and need to get me some of that thinner you had 😭😭😭
If I run out I just use a little vegetable oil.
Love this video so much! Would be less distracting without the music underneath.
How long is each rod?
Are you using real chocolate or candy chocolate? Thanks.
Once you've coated, instead of placing them directly onto paper, try raising them slightly, on a couple of cocktail sticks maybe. Just a thought to save time. Thanks anyway Dementia.
Hello, I love your work and have gotten many pretzels ideas from you! Do you have a tutorial on the rice crispy treats?
Hello!
Thank you so much! ☺️ Yes I do! I’ll link it below! Thanks for watching!

@@DamenicaJ Hi there, thank you so much! Much appreciated. Happy Holidays 🌲
Thank you! Happy Holidays to you too!
Hello. What are you using to melt your wiltons chocolate.
Damenica THANK YOU.
Awesome presentation ! I’m planning on making for grandsons party. His theme is Nurf gun , how can I make the end of the pretzel that’s not covered with chocolate dipped I. Orange chocolate?
Thank you so much! You can dip the other end in orange Wilton candy melts or whatever brand melts your local craft store sells.
@@DamenicaJ thsnk you this helps!
Love these they look awesome I'm going to try to make them for my daughters baby shower I'm going to use a cup to dunk the pretzels in though
@@DamenicaJ thanks so much I appreciate it
