My goal is to take you to the real food places in Barcelona so when you visit, you don’t get caught in the ‘tourist trap’ restaurants.
So today, I’m taking you to one of favourite Tapas places which I think everyone must visit when they visit Barcelona.
Founded in 1914, the Quimet & Quimet is one of the best-known tapas bars in Barcelona.
It has the perfect atmosphere for a quick snack & a drink. The walls are filled with hundreds of wine bottles and they make some really good beer & vermut. I absolutely love the vermut here but they have lots of other drinks too, so ask the waiter to suggest you something and he’ll definitely surprise you with an interesting choice.
They don’t take reservations and each table has a 45 minutes slot after which you have to leave so it’s the perfect place to start your evening and then move onto the next tapas bar.
They are specialists in can preserves, so all the dishes are served cold. That’s their hallmark and what makes them unique.
You can look at the menu and order what you like or let the waiter advise you and you will surely be surprised.
