Fantastic comparison! Far more complete than any other comparison I’ve seen! Really helped me with coming closer t a decision on a pair of headphones! Thanks Inside Tech!
InsideTech I did lean towards the Tao Tronics due to their overall rating however few areas that are stopping me from progressing with its purchase are its headband arc, microphone and sound leakage. Would you be able t suggest any other budget headphones that are better in these area?
Thank you for covering the ear cups size, I really needed to verify whether the size is big enough for my ears. Although I may suggest that you should have a quantitative description (dimension) of the earcup size.
Funny, I find the bass very lacking on the Tribit XFree Tune, but the sound overall is very well balanced and way better sounding than the Sony MDR-XB950BT I've had (which was also a bass heavy headphone). I didn't have to EQ any frequencies aside from the low frequencies (bass). Although even EQing the bass all the way up, the bass is hardly existent. Oh well... Haven't tried the other headphones, but the sound quality on the Tribit is definitely worth way more than its price.
Fair enough, it’s largely down to each person’s ears and opinions anyway! I guess the XFree Tune are more bass-heavy compared to the other two in this video, so might not necessarily be so compared to others. Interesting to hear you thought they sounded better than the MDRs though!

The mdr just didn't get loud enough for me. The best headphones I've ever had with great hard hitting bass but audiophile crisp highs are the V-MODA m-100 you can get them for around$150 new. But they used to be $250 + but they just came out with m-200 so they dropped the price on the m-100 . But if you want hard hitting clean bass and crisp highs they will be your last headphones. Anything from V-MODA has good bass but outstanding highs and mids also. They are actually the #1 pro dj headphones in the world. The DJ's like you see in Los Vegas. That's why they are so good at everything. They have to make bass dropping bass but also reproduce all the sounds and treble a DJ. Makes. You can look them up. But Iam very critical of SQ. But Iam also a bass head. IAM telling you if you save and get them they will be your last headphones. Ofcorse the wired ones always sounds the best especially when you put a headphone AMP on them. Then they straight up drill and have volume for days. I use the fiio A3 AMP on mine it has a bass boost on it but believe it or not it makes it too strong on some songs. It will vibrate your head. But in a hard hitting clean way.vnot a fake vibrating doing fake bass like the Skullcandy crushers. Check them out. Look at reviews
I have the Mpow's, after 6 months they broke. I got them at a steep discount for a review. They are refunding me and I would buy again but build quality puts me off though customer service is good since I was just over 4 days of warranty. Looking at Tribit now, thanks for a great review.
I have the tt bh-22 and love the sound of them. Tried some £20 mpow which were ok sound wise but a little bit lacking. Paid £50 for tt headphones and decided that anything less in price will result in noticeable drops in quality. Never tried tribit headphones before.
My favourite is the Tribit because it has the best build quality (important for me), good bass (which I like) and good battery life (which is useful) Edit :and it also has a carrying case!
@@insidetechltd i just got the headphones, it is comfortable for sure, noise cancellation is amazing for their price, again no headphones would hide people talking but hides my window ac well, speaking on the sound quality it is good but with muffled "mids" as they call it, i mean the singer voice sound faded a bit (the effect on bluetooth on my phone sounded hearable but not on cable on my pc maybe its the app and phone im using, huawei mate 10 pro), but when turning the ANC on weirdly sounds better with heavy bass, the quality of the headphones build is very good and feels durable, fast setup and pairing, cant complain much i knew they were heavy on the bass side when i made the purchase but im satisfied with them
Thanks for the update! Yes, it’s common for cheaper headphones to sound better with ANC turned on (this gives the illusion of better ANC performance). Glad to hear that they’re comfortable too!
The Tribit sound amazing for the price. They sound as good as $200-300 pairs of headphones. My only complaint is they're a little uncomfortable, and they don't adjust to fit larger heads. I have to open them up all the way to get a good fit.
I’ve been shopping around quite a bit, so I was really wondering if I would be happy with a cheaper set vs the flag ship ones. I had certainly read the amazon reviews on all 3 of these. Overall, this was a fantastic video, so thank you very much! One more thing I always wonder about, is how these cheaper options stack up against a couple months of use. Some reviews claimed that they crapped out after a few months of use, whereas their flag ship contenders, like Sony can last year‘s with regular use
Thank you very much! I’ve personally had some cheaper sets break / fail after a few months of use, and this is sometimes a risk when you go for budget headphones. These three are pretty reputable brands though, they were fine for me and the warranties should cover any issues
My pixel phone doesn't have a headphone jack and I'm not able to connect to my car with Bluetooth. I've bought an adapter for my USB type c, but have encountered numerous microphone issues on call when using this. I don't suppose you know if a more expensive adapter may resolve this? Alas, the point I'm getting to is that to take calls in the car, I rely on my wireless headphones. I would be interested to hear your recommendation on the best wireless headphones for this... With a budget up to £180
It’s really hard to say without knowing the specific adapter and specific car model. It might even be your phone that’s causing the issue. I couldn’t say where the issue you’re facing originates. I wouldn’t recommend any wireless headphones for use in the car. I think it’s extremely dangerous to use headphones whilst driving and you should be fully alert when operating a vehicle.
I went with the MPOW H5. They fit great, pair easily, and for what I got them for, listening to TV in bedroom, and using with my new Samsung Tab A, work fine. I think the sound is great, not Bose great, but nice. I paid like $31 for these, so I definitely got my money's worth.
The sound of the MPOW H5 becomes impressive if ANC turns on. So the Sound is more open than and the bass for this price is very good. In addition, the volume is very loud; i can not even hear the half. Maybe my Headphones are positive defekt !? :D
It's common for (Amazon companies especially) to update the designs of their products regularly. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a new design out by now!
Do you mean the XFree Tune? If so then I think the SoundSurge 85 are a more modern version i.e. with Bluetooth 5. A closer competitor would be the Tribit QuietPlus, and I have a video comparing these to the Taotronics SoundSurge 55 headphones if you want to check that out!
