Hi Mark, thanks for the detailed review, your channel become my first destination when I am looking for headphones / ear pods reviews. I have the 85 and they do connect to two devices at the same time, initially you need to turn off Bluetooth in the first device for the headphones to enter pairing mode and to then you pair with the second decide , once paired you can turn on the Bluetooth back on first device and it's connected to both devices. You just need to pause the media on one device and play it on the second and it will pick up automatically. If you get a call it will pick it up automatically as well. Very nice feature. I use it on my phone and laptop all the time . No issues

Just one thing to note, if you pair it to two devices at the same time it works absolutely fine on both of them, however, once you disconnect the first device the headphone still works with the second but you will hear a message saying "Your headphone has been disconnected" and it will automatically power off after some time, probably because it's not designed to work with two devices in the first place but it's not a big issue for me, I turn it on again and use it normally.
You deserve more views! I really like how you tested *everything* about these headphones, including the mic, which is the deciding factor for me, as I need a good one for video-conferencing :)

Great review, so detailed. I think I'm going to order the 85's, because they are the most comfortable, and it seams I'm always in a multi-hour use scenario. In addition, I would enjoy hearing a full spectrum of detailed sounds rather than giving up high or mid for more bass.
This review was extremely helpful for me. I ended up getting the 55s because, for my purposes, the best ANC I could afford was my primary goal, and I bought the 55s because "without a doubt, they offer the best ANC performance of any budget ANC headphones [he'd] ever tested." To at least some degree, I can EQ for better sound--but I can't do anything about ANC. The review is accurate--the ANC is wonderful, way better than I'd expected. Apart from ANC, I'm okay with the sound as long as I don't audiophile A/B it too heavy. It's not great, but it's good enough for my purposes. At home, I use other phones--but out and around, I'm fine with these. One more thing: call quality. I've received a few calls while in somewhat noisy environments, and everyone has simply told me "they sound normal." I like that. Mark, your reviews rawk. Thank you.
I have the 55's too but as much as their sound and ANC, for ÂŁ60 when I got them, was truly brilliant, the cheap plastic of the 55's broke by the hinge from about a 50cm drop onto my laptop on both sides, so as long as you are seriously careful with them I'd recommend
Still happy with my 46âs, I have slept in these for 2 years, work outside, mow the lawn. There have been insane for the price. Mowing grass with the ANC on is unreal. Thanks for the great review.
Cool review! It's the SoundSurge 55s for me all the way. Being an audio-fanatic I have found that no wireless headphones quite cut it as compared to my trusty budget audiophile closed cans-USB DAC concoction, which I use on-the-go. I've heard the Sony WH1000XM3s and I think they are nice (I really like the ANC on them). However, I can't justify the price for their sound quality. At work, I typically wear my favorite ear plugs that come with memory foam, and while comfortable, I do need a bit of a break from them after a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found ear defenders that are both comfortable as well as "office-smart" (no idea what's up with that). I tried the SoundSurge 55s, and they are as good as it gets for someone who would only purchase ANC headphones for yes, its ANC function.
Thanks for you video. It would have been awesome if you showed the ANC of the XM3 for reference. It also would have been nice if you did the similar test for sound like you did for ANC.

Hey, i just wanted to add my two cents regarding the updated version of the Taotronics Soundsurge 46's. First, i am almost positive that the only color that was refreshed for 2020 is the champagne/beige color. Even though it doesn't seem to be differentiated on Amazon, every black pair that anyone I know has received hasn't been updated at all. Anyway, the refreshed 46's have CVC 8.0, Bluetooth 5.0 w/aptx and AAC codec, USB c charging. And speaking from experience, the updated pair are incredibly better from the original. Bass is very punchy and deep, mids are decently forward (slightly more than originals),but the biggest gain is the more pronounced high end treble. Much more detail now.

What about Dyplay Urban Traveller 2.0? They have Type-C charging and can be connected two 2 devices at once. My main complaint is the volume is oddly limited and the battery life is mediocre (only 12 hours)
Daamn OK perfect I did get the best pair the 55, I got them for the different anc and they didn't disappoint in your review. So excited for them to get here on Tuesday. Found them for only ~$38 using Amazon renewed, and had a $25 giftcard. Do wish they were less bass and better mids though as I'm more of an acoustic listener mainly. Still for what $13 its totally worth it haha

I have owned a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 and the Taotronics TT85 and ended up selling the sony's because although the features on them are slightly better, the Taotronics cost me only 40 bucks and they almost have the same functionality. Really decent performance regarding sound, active noise cancelling and battery life. For the small price a really big winner IMHO :)

I have the 85s and 60s, and while the anc is just better on the 85s, and while the bass is better on the 85s, the 60s just have a brighter sound signature
Only 85s are being sold here (other models are not soundsurge). I hope they be comfortable. My Ausdom m05 which were super light broke after 3.11 years and I am planning to order 85s. I hope they be better.
Sound review. Can you make any recs/have any vids of ANC ON-ear headphones? Over-ear are great for sound quality and comfort of course, but if you're outside a lot like me, they're just too hot for warmer weather conditions, and also not ideal for wearing with sunglasses. Idk if you still read the comments, but on Jim Luong review channel, the 55 actually have a longer use time with anc on. I think you should have test it out instead just assumed what the company said is true.

My Ghostek Sodrop 2 have split apart and Ghostek haven't created a Sodrop 3 so I'm looking for something with a similar sound with deep bass for 808 tracks that have a good build quality that will last over a year and not break apart in two months like several Philips that I've tried. I purchased a Marshall Major III set the other day but they are so uncomfortable I took them off after 5 minutes of use and put them back in the box and will return them.

Late to the party, but a bit confused here. You said your 46's have CVC 6.0, but then say also it has USB-C? But isn't it that the old version with the CVC 6.0 has the microUSB port, while the new version with USB-C has CVC 8.0, as it says on their product page. So do you have the old version or the new version?
I'm finding the 90s a bit on the heavy side. I tried the 22s, which were way more comfortable, but the sound quality was nowhere near as good. It is worth getting the 85s as a trade-off? ANC is important to me but I've found the 90s pretty good, and the 55s look like they are just as heavy.

Bought the 85 for two month, and now it won't charge. The led indicator blink red for one second and then it when off. Tried with all the cables in my house and none off them seems to be the problem. Is there any solution? Really love this headphone btw

Late to the party, but a bit confused here. You said your 46's have CVC 6.0, but then say also it has USB-C? But isn't it that the old version with the CVC 6.0 has the microUSB port, while the new version with USB-C has CVC 8.0, as it says on their product page. So do you have the old version or the new version?

I'm finding the 90s a bit on the heavy side. I tried the 22s, which were way more comfortable, but the sound quality was nowhere near as good. It is worth getting the 85s as a trade-off? ANC is important to me but I've found the 90s pretty good, and the 55s look like they are just as heavy.
Between 90s n 55s which is good
maybe this is too late but i bought bh85 thinking they better than my bh22 but they not lol, not even close, too bad bh22 stopped production they are amazing beating even AKG Pro Audio K361 for me, can you explain how the 90 are better than 22? because based on 85 im not confident 90 would be any better

I liked the call quality of the 55, 46, then 85.
Bought the 85 for two month, and now it won't charge. The led indicator blink red for one second and then it when off. Tried with all the cables in my house and none off them seems to be the problem. Is there any solution? Really love this headphone btw

Can you reach out to Taotronics to see if they can send you the latest version of the 46s? Supposedly theyâve been tuned differently and the sound better,

I haven't tested those personally myself, but I can guarantee that the ANC here is better. I'll try and get my hands on the Razer Opus if I can for you.
