As a telephone technician I've worked inside of many of those homes and on those streets for over 20 years. I've never had any problems and have met so many nice people throughout. The conditions that have befallen the area are disheartening and hopefully things change somehow.

There weren't enough people in that deserted town for it to be dangerous! That said, I spent some time in Youngstown in the early 80's, andI had fond memories of it. Also, the video was apparently taken at 5 am on a Sunday in the summer, as there are almost no other people in the video.
I lived in the Bronx and upper Manhattan in the '70's and early '80's. Where are the abandoned cars, the burnt-out buildings, beer and whisky bottles and fast food trash scattered everywhere? At 5 am people are still partying on coke and crack, right?

Most of those areas you went threw are not bad areas ya the houses are run down but the people that live there are good people just because a house is run down doesn't mean it's a dangerous area. Your judging a area without living there. I live here and it's not bad yes there are bad areas but not the ones you have showed

WHY IS IT DANGEROUS?!!! Did not even see a single graffiti or trashed out lots for half of the video. LOOK NICE and PEACEFUL with LOTS OF TREES and GREEN SPACES. I prefer to live in this Youngstown than living in any borough of New York City or any where similar to the New York City set-ups. FORE SURE MAN!!

Thank you for being honest. We just moved to Campbell a few years ago. We see the areas in Youngstown all the time. Just like Los Angeles neighborhoods, they don’t have to look like this if people would just take pride in there neighborhoods.

I visited many times, people say Youngstown is dangerous but have never seen any crimes. Actually people were very nice even to asian.
Also, the data shows Youngstown is out of top 10 crime rates. Ao I think the city is pretty safe
