Despite her personal issues (from childhood trauma) she was a fascinating and captivating woman. She had the “it” factor. She truly loved and adored every single fan. She was without a doubt the most driven, motivated and hardworking woman in Hollywood.
You know when i first saw joan in movies i always picture her as tall slender lady with long legs 😅but when i find out she was actually 5'4 i was like what unbelievable
This is when Hollywood was still Glamorous. The actors and actresses were like Royalty. They had such class and an elegance. Not like today's actor's, they are just film actor's. Back in the sixties they were Real Movie Stars and acted... Didn't have to depend on special effects and Green Screens to make the film..
Joan was known to be extremely charitable person. She supported a lot of Hollywood staff (technicians, stuntman, and other small time workers) for the education of their children and hospital bills, more often anonymously. Always replied each fan letter
She was one of a kind. An incredibly beautiful and talented woman who appreciated her fans A movie star, a business woman, a mother, and simply amazing..There will never be another Joan Crawford. She's iconic. So nice to know that she supported Hollywood staff with generosity. A class act woman.
Joan's smile when the applause for her kept going was so charming ❤ I'm so used to seeing her in dramatic roles but she pulls off comedy so well too. A true talent and a class act.
Joan Crawford, was true Hollywood Royalty! She started acting at age 16! Hollywood saved her life! I loved all of her movies! Joan, Lucy and Vivian were all my favorite actresses! Thanks for this episode! ❤
I think we really get a glimpse into Joan’s naturally southern dialect. Of course she never used it, but it’s also heard in her airport interview. Unfortunately in both programs, she was going in and out of alcohol problems. However, like many stars said, she never let it get in the way of her work. I think this is a prime example.
I read somewhere that Lucy and Joan clashed frequently on the set and Joan was even quoted as saying "And people call me a bitch!" in regards to Ms Ball.
It's weird how episodes of shows from over 45 years ago can stay in my mind, yet it's so easy for me to forget what I wore or ate the day before. (Smile)
I absolutely love this episode. The best episode ever. Couldn't have pick a better guest. Joan Crawford. (Oh, she's my all time favorite). Ms. Crawford was certainly a class act. She was always polite to her fans and the public. I've seen all her films.
After a horrible day, I finally got around to watching this! I couldn't help but smile with the Crawford reveal. Joan was great. It was all nonsense of course but wonderfully fun nonsense. Thank you for posting.
I used to believe the inaccurate mommy dearest version of Joan until I read more about her , watched her and heard other peoples memory of her including Barbara Stanwyck and Steven Spielberg , her other children …. I find her classy , polite, talented , caring and professional and delightful . Here is to you Joan . Thank you .
Haha Joan was so good here, it shows how much range she had as an actress and she was still so beautiful😊 She could have done so much in her later career in the 70’s like comedies
Joanie was also a comedic actress, it's so wonderful to watch her. if only one had a chance to meet her, have a cup of coffee with her and chat about everything
Joan Crawford 1 of the best actresses. I have seen all of her movies. I love every one of them. I have some of joan Crawfords movies. I watch them quite often.
I stil love to watch 'The Lucy Show', 'Lucy Desi Comedy hours' and of course' 'I love Lucy ' (every episode) too ! Thanks to all of you for giving us joy and laugh and lighten our hard time (now a days) we are passing through !
Joan was an amazing actress beautiful and elegant. She started out in a couple silent films. Lucy and Vivien was fantastic funny. Love these 3 beautiful women. Gale Gordon played many characters on old time radio. You all should listen to satellite radio channel 148 for shows with him in it
I love these three legendary gals together. It's surprising to see that Joan was actually quite a small woman. You always think of her as tall and commanding in most of her movies because she has such a strong presence but both Lucy and Viv have quite a bit of height on her.
Reportedly, Miss Ball was to have been very cruel to Crawford during this shoot. Somehow I can believe that. A lot of people have come forward and revealed that Saint Lucy was an absolute pain in the ass to work with.
Oh, Joan Crawford and her production manager offered Mr. Mooney(actor Gale Gordon) a JOB? WOW!!! Lucy and Vivian( screen name of Ethel) were absolutely DELIGHTFUL. I was a baby when the episode was aired and so i didn't see it. UNTIL right now.
In the 60s, there was a lot of nostalgia for the Roaring twenties. Like the films Bonnie and Clyde, Thoroughly Modern Millie and the #1 hit record "Winchester Cathedral '
I love Vivian Vance. She made every episode special.
I love how she was overcome by the applause they were both smiling.
I miss old programs. I cant stand crap on today
I had no idea Joan was so diminutive.. she looked larger than life in movies.
There will never be another actress like Joan Crawford. She was always beautiful, even when she was older. I've always loved her!!!
When Joan grabbed the bottle 😁😆
Still had her dancing skills. 💃
look at her face ,pure joy
One of the original flappers.

Joan looked so tiny especially standing next to lucy who was very tall.
Joan's smile when the applause for her kept going was so charming ❤ I'm so used to seeing her in dramatic roles but she pulls off comedy so well too. A true talent and a class act.
She was so beautiful, even then. Yeah she wasn't 20 anymore, but she aged so gracefully. Lovely Joan.
She still looked great during her mid-sixties!
I've always thought that.....
Joan Crawford, was true Hollywood Royalty! She started acting at age 16! Hollywood saved her life! I loved all of her movies!
Joan, Lucy and Vivian were all my favorite actresses! Thanks for this episode! ❤

In her later films, her voice slips between carefully practiced M-G-M elocution and Texas drawl. At least that's what I've noticed.
I read somewhere that Lucy and Joan clashed frequently on the set and Joan was even quoted as saying "And people call me a bitch!" in regards to Ms Ball.
This aired the day I was born!!❤
Joan is the best! Much ❤️. You can really see her height here. Only 5’0. I thought she was so tall
"I really love Lucy!" And "Joan Crawford!" And Vivian Vance!"
It's weird how episodes of shows from over 45 years ago can stay in my mind, yet it's so easy for me to forget what I wore or ate the day before. (Smile)
Joan was an exquisite actress. She commanded our attention when she was on screen.
I absolutely love this episode. The best episode ever. Couldn't have pick a better guest. Joan Crawford. (Oh, she's my all time favorite). Ms. Crawford was certainly a class act. She was always polite to her fans and the public. I've seen all her films.
Joan Crawford. . . .What a ICON.
Joan was so misunderstood my heart really hurts for her she was a beautiful person great heart and soooo very charitable
After a horrible day, I finally got around to watching this! I couldn't help but smile with the Crawford reveal. Joan was great. It was all nonsense of course but wonderfully fun nonsense. Thank you for posting.
I love Joan's voice

Which is exactly why I am sceptic of the tell all books and stories
She even looked GREAT as a cleaner.
Mike Hudson Jp I totally agree. Joan certainly looked GREAT!
One of my favorite episodes of the Lucy Show with Ms. Crawford guest-starring.
polyprinz Mine, as well. Joan was the best! One of the GREAT classics!
Miss Crawford was so teeny! And still very beautiful in this. Those eyes and that gorgeous smile!!
Love these old comedies. Wish we had more shows like this now days.
I could watch Joan Crawford all day 💖
Joan was so beautiful even in her sixties
Haha Joan was so good here, it shows how much range she had as an actress and she was still so beautiful😊 She could have done so much in her later career in the 70’s like comedies
Gail Gordon is so underrated. A great star. For you young folks, catch "Mildred Pierce" Joan's greatest film.
Joan with her red hair! Everyone seems to think it was black but she had red hair and freckles! Naturally :) Lucy's was helped by the beauty salon ;-)
She did an awesome job. Miss her.
She was always one of my idols. My late mother never missed her movies on TV and I watched them with her and loved everything she was in!
I love Joan Crawford 💜 She’s my all time favourite:)
Charming, I loved Joan in this!
Joan had the most beautiful smile
Joanie was also a comedic actress, it's so wonderful to watch her. if only one had a chance to meet her, have a cup of coffee with her and chat about everything
She, Joan, was a lovely soul!🌹
Lucy wearing her white go-go boots, probably crafted out of genuine vinyl (plastic). Got to love the 60s, everything was either plastic or polyester.
Joan is radiant in this.
Came to watch this, learning about Joan Crawford. Jan/18/2021
Joan CRAWFORD ✨♥️👑💋🍸!! Honestly if I were alive in her time I would have been one of those fans that cleaned her house for Her!

These are truly GEMS! I Absolutely ADORE LUCY, MR. CRAWFORD, VIVIAN!!!
Oh I never knew she was on I Love Lucy! 😍❤️
She wasn't. This was THE LUCY SHOW.
Lucy: “A big star like her reduced to working as a maid” … Vivian: “She must’ve sold all her furniture to buy food.” 😄
She certainly aged well. Very lovely!
Joan Crawford always looked tall in movies in reality she was only about 5 feet.

Reportedly, Miss Ball was to have been very cruel to Crawford during this shoot. Somehow I can believe that. A lot of people have come forward and revealed that Saint Lucy was an absolute pain in the ass to work with.

Love this video
What a wonderful show. I loved all of the Actresses and Actors in this episode.
It s interesting to think how some shows back in the late 60' still had the flavours of the 50s early 60'
