I've had my 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid now for about 6 months and 10,000 mi. 47 mph gallon on a normal commute. Completely flawless, love the high firm ride, plenty capacity for hauling, and plenty of room for 4 plus passengers.
I would highly recommend this vehicle to anybody.

Be prepared to wait a long time BUT IF they ever make one I am sure it will be good. BUT doubtful they do. Toyota has pretty ,much abandoned the low end market.

Kindly request all small trucks Ford. Toyota , Hyundai , Subaru ... reduce the price to 22k only so Low Income Workers and Poor Students can buy ! Inflation , unemployment increase over 50% so nobody can affor to purchase the car over 30k now !

The Maverick is not narrow. At least not any more narrow than any compact SUV. It is built on the Escape platform. As far as comfort, my XLT AWD ecoboost is just fine. I drove it on an 8 hour road trip this summer and the comfort was fine. Sure it's no Cadillac, but neither is the gas mileage. I can get 32 mpg with 87 octane, 33 mpg with 93 octane on the interstate as long as I don't get on the boost too much.
