Went to a dealer today to purchase an XLT FWD Hybrid. sticker $ 27k. When it came down to the numbers, they came back with a $5k markup on the truck citing "demand". I told them no based on principle. Won't pay more than MSRP. I enjoyed the test drive - nice little vehicle but if we pay over MSRP, they will continue to charge over MSRP.

I absolutely love my 23 XL hybrid. Amazing little truck, almost 10k miles so far, I always get well over 40mpg per tank, even now with snow tires, it's currently at 42mpg after 425 miles, with 140 until empty.
Man, I think it’s a solid buy from the first look and when folks like you that have bought it and are having decent experiences I think it’s def worth it!

I just paused video at point where you can see passenger front window.... Sure enough, it appears they have that thing marked up at least $3k though it's hard to make out.
@@Cartalks10041K, and I got it at MSRP. The Maverick I was looking at was around 30k, but had the 4k Market Adjustment. I just made the stretch and paid a little more to get a more capable truck. My truck was also pretty tricky to get, I had 3 sell out from under me while looking. I lucked out when I stopped at the dealership to look at one that already sold and another was just getting unloaded.
I was watching a ford plant documentary yesterday and they said they laid off 700 folks from where the Mach-e was being built cause of low EV demand and they also said that they can’t keep up with the High Maverick demands either lol. Maybe they should’ve put all those folks in mavericks plant and not had them laid off. Soo bro idk how much longer you gonna have to wait😭 I hope you get it in January! I low key also want this truck for no reason 😂 it’s just so good haha
I've had my 23 Maverick XL since July and I love that truck. You can't beat it for the price especially if you are just looking for a cheap economy truck. A great replacement for the old Ford Rangers.
Just entered the Maverick club and loving it. I do agree some packages are over priced for what you get. This truck shouldn't go over 35K for all bells and whistles. The problem of course is inflation and vehicle popularity.
I just got my 2023 xl of the lot for 25k didn’t had to wait 6-12 months 😅 I think they put a mark up of $1,000 because I thought it cost 24k. What ya think I still got a good deal for my hybrid?

But if I think of it on the flip side tho that he was able to pay just $1000 extra for the truck he really wanted without having to wait whereas someone who might be paying Msrp or $1k less but having to wait 18 months. Luckily a dealer an hour away had an cancel order for a 24 XL. Went in and grabbed it right away. Scheduled built 1/15, anyone know the average time assembly line to dealer?
I would like it more if I wouldn't keep getting Deep Sleep Mode alerts and then the interior lights not working. The dealer has done some software updates but hasn't helped. I have 2000 miles on it and get 40+ mpg.@@Cartalks100

2024 but I believe the cactus gray kinda replaced the silver because I do believe this was part of the fleet delivery. I wanted to a white one but they didn’t have white XL so I just went with the second common color :/. What color did you end up going with then?
Shadow Black, ordered one when the banks first opened back in July. A FWD Ecoboost with no options other than the 360 Co pilot assist. Have gotten 2 emails from Ford so far confirming order. They tell me that due to supply constraints and etc it has no built date yet.

About 7 hours east of Chicago in Ohio. I’m in no real hurry however I would like to have a ball park figure for when I might get it.. I was told by my Ford dealer that this is a simple build and its the Ecoboost which is in less demand. He also told me that once I get a build date that could be months out.

@@Cartalks100 Scheduling has already been done for Oct., Nov., and December. We are now waiting on scheduling for January and February. The strike did not directly affect the Maverick since they are built in Mexico, unless some parts were in short supply. It will be at least 3 more months of waiting for me. That would be 17 months in all, if I get scheduled for January!

Yeah I hear you. With the markups it makes the attraction level low cause when I first saw the XL and it’s true pricing I was like DAMN this is gonna sell like hot cakes but then then the markups made people sad including me
still trying to get a maverick after two years, All CALF. Ford dealers are adding Lo Jack for $1400, 3m clear protection $1500, shipping another $1500, etc... Mavericks were a great value, in 21 and in 2022, but not now. $30K + tax, Lic, High-interest rates close to 40K for an XLT awd - we need another option from Toyota and Chevy to compete.

The sad part is they depreciate like crazy, if you go to trade it back in they offer you 20K for it so yes I agree that only fools pay above MSRP.
I won't pay MSRP. "Demand" is another word for "gouge" and agreeing to *be* gouged is synonymous with "sucker".

Just today i went to look at a Maverick that was priced 33000 online and it was priced 40000 when i got to the dealership.
These trucks are in demand all are 30k where I am even base model

Bought a 2024 FWD Ford Maverick 25k out the door but,

My 2023 base was 23$ but they had to push me to a 24 and now the base is 28$ and the hybrid isn’t standard that is unacceptable 😡
