  • We show you how to build a Jack Stand Stand. Storing jack stands are a pain, they take up a lot of floor space for such a short accessory. With just a couple of pieces of angle iron from your favorite hardware store, this is fairly cheap and easy to build. We used just under 12-feet of 1/8" x 3/4" x 3/4" angle iron and some 1/4-20 screws and nuts. All in, this was less than $30.

    I like the way you cut the angel iron not clamped in a vice the best way👍👍👍

      We usually just bite the steel with our teeth, but we wanted to play it safe. Thanks for watching.

      Sorry about that, we didn't realize that in editing. Thanks for watching.

      Yes, you are correct. We seemed to find all the tools for the job rather easily. Thanks for watching.

    I put them in the bottom of my harbor freight 5 drawer box.

    Would be better if you stored them upside down - then no chance of it being knocked off the shelf.

    They stack. Just pull the pins out

      We spend hours upon hours of building, welding, grinding, filming, and editing, and then you want to pull the rug out from under us?! Pull the pins, they stack!! Don't try to flex on us. lol. :) True, we could have pulled the pins and stacked them, but that wouldn't be near as fun. Thanks for watching.

    I can lose a couple of fingers doing that

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  Před 3 lety

      That is not recommended. Preferably, you want to choose the method that keeps all appendages. Thanks for watching.

      I'm sorry, it wasn't that way on our side, during editing. There was just a lot of dead space, so we wanted to include some background music. Thanks for watching.

      Yes, they definitely are. We got tired of tripping over them for years. Thanks for watching.
