    Amazing !!!
    I am tennis player for over 20 years , just started to play PB about 4 months ago , found that Pickleball is the best in all aspects of life-- 1) deep meditation since you have to be in the Moment, do your best of whatever in front of you which helps in everyday activities.
    2) so fast , so much fun , so exciting
    3) it is easier to play than tennis but it is hard to Master it , like the Dinks !!!
    4) great exercise, after 3 months of playing i have lost tummy fat , have slimmer legs and wear all my clothes i have made 22 years ago !!!
    5) meet all walks of life since it is more affordable fir all -- no financial and social status applied on PB courts
    6) best of all -- most players are very friendly and are willing to help players with less experience
    7) Easy to find place to play , i have introduced so many people on my driveway !, now , i am teaching my5 yrs young granddaughter in the middle of her room , and she loves it .
    Yes, Pickleball is all i need to be totally happy -- Body , Mind and Soul !!!
    Happy Pickleball to all of us who love life , fun and great friendship!!!
    ❤️❤️❤️

      Nobody would have much against this sport if it wasn't a parasite leeching off of existing tennis courts. Of course tennis players get irked when a sport played by loud, inconsiderate and generally out of shape people comes in and takes their court space. That's it - tennis players wouldn't be picking on pickleball if they didn't have to share courts.

    • @MyChevySonic
      @MyChevySonic Před 2 lety +10

      I imagine, as tennis players, they have tried it and they're just expressing their opinions, which are valid. They have some good points. It's slower than clay. You can't really control the point on serve. It's mostly lob, drop shot, and slice etc.
      But it's also possible they played it with cheap balls. If you play with cheap starter kit balls, it's incredibly difficult to play full court and can leave a poor first impression. That's what happened with me and my wife. I thought it was pretty boring and easy until we bought some good balls with a more lively bounce.
      I think the balls that come with kits are made taking the age demo into account and not making them too lively, so older players stay at the net and volley more and don't have to run too much.

      @@commondirtbagz7130 Because the majority of the people in the comments complaining about it haven't played it. Some might have, and if Pickleball isn't your cup of tea, that's fine; however, it's still pretty ridiculous to actively search up a highlight video for a sport you don't like to play and leave derogatory comments because it makes you feel superior. Also, Pickleball does have a learning curve; the amount of technicality is surprising. If you are new or newish to the game and played against someone who has been playing for a while, with a competent level of skill, you will likely lose. It is easier to pick up than some other sports, tennis for example, but it is still quite difficult to master and there are plenty of nuances to the game you come to understand at higher levels of play.

    • @commondirtbagz7130
      @commondirtbagz7130 Před 3 lety +2

      @@americanodude okay this whole idea that people leaving these comments haven’t played is what is ridiculous. First off, the whole reason people like pickleball is because it’s a lot more accessible than a game like tennis. Add to the fact that most people commenting these comments are tennis players makes the likelihood of them having played it a lot higher since they hang out where pickleball courts usually are. And no, pickleball has little learning curve. I’ve beaten multiple guys who thought they were the big guys in town or whatever because they were the best players in the league. I kicked there ass. 2-0 each in best of three. I don’t think they got more than 5 points each set. I had played pickleball two times in my life, that was my third. Anybody that is young and semi athletic can pick it up pretty fast, and the idea that this game needs online tutorials and has a us open tournament with announcers with a 2000 dollar prize is insane. Although the lack of officialness was obvious when people were there without masks, something an actual tournament would never allow in the middle of a pandemic. Pickleball is a fun game, nobody is denying it, but it’s not a sport. And unlike something like touch tennis which takes a lot more skill, pickleball takes itself way too seriously. That’s the problem.

    I know there’s a lot of people in the comments who haven’t played and I know it looks silly so this comment is meant to be informative and not at all defensive. Pickleball is way harder than it looks, the pros just make it look effortless. The rules and strategy are completely different than tennis. You’re also able to put a crap ton of spin on the ball for nearly every type of hit and your reaction time has to be insane at the NVZ to sustain those types of volleys. I play in college along with several tennis players trying to pick up the sport.

      Pretty sure it is much easier to not step into the kitchen (box in front) using an open stance. You can’t volley if you are standing in the kitchen so closed stance might accidentally bring you into it.

    • @longhairedchild1
      @longhairedchild1 Před 2 lety

      You are only allowed to step into the "Kitchen" or red zone after the ball has bounced once. This creates a different kind of playing strategy where can slow down the game play with "dinking" or short hits to set up for attacks and create uncertainty.

      The kitchen is there to prevent the balls from being put away so easily. As long as you keep the ball low in the kitchen or "dump" it, the other player cannot hit an aggressive shot off of it.
