@@all-for-one-- I honestly get triggered about stuff like this. The 2nd book of the trilogy had a lot of intense and even considered abusive moments, some of them will be adapted into the second season(obviously) and these views/things that occur should have nothing to do with real life representations etc, it's just literally how the book was + on another note, it's not really confirmed the so called critic was talking about s&b, and I truly hope season 2 is great, considering clear as day information on how the books are.
The first season remains one of the best book-to-screen adaptations I've ever watched so I hope the second season is equally great. I really wonder how the Crows' story will play out but I'm optimistic that it will be interesting without overtaking Alina's journey.
They removed like almost all of Mal's dialogue:
- In the next page, Mal "goggled dumbly after [Zoya], his mouth slightly open" Mal and his tracker friends talk about getting with the grisha girl Mal whooped "without sparing me another glance"...
- "I hated hiding how much the stupid things he did hurt me"
- "you looked miserable at dinner" I was surprised he'd noticed
- "I usually got the impression that Mal wanted to forget everything about the place, maybe even me"
- "Maybe he'll fall on a ditch on his way there" (to seduce other girls)
- "Mal had never looked at me the way he looked at that girl or even the way he looked at Ruby, and he never would."

It was better than the book tbh. I found the book painful to read because Alina was so boring and had no reall drive of her own. The Darkling also felt abit less intriguing and more just 'evil' and teenagery.
So many years it toke y’all to give us season two. Y’all better realise it asap

Eric already confirmed no ice heist in season 2. What is concerning is how little Netflix is spending in publicity. They the little they do let out focus on the least popular couple of ALL the grishaverse - sorry but them using Malina might cause the show to get cancelled and no more crows spnoff

@@ZDProds-c8p It stayed in the top 10 for a while, but to general audiences it faded from their minds. Apart from book fans, there's been little to no hype. And we're a month and some days away and Netflix has spend nothing on promos.
I think the first season was pretty popular. I’m a PhD post-grad in my late 20s and I enjoyed it (judge me if you will lol) and so did a lot of my friends in my program. I’m also pretty sure it was also popular (if not more popular) among younger crowds too. My best friend’s boy friend is a high school teacher and he was telling me that everyone in his class had been watching it because a lot of them had read the books it was based on.
I just came here to whinge that I can't watch anything without a fuckin shadow and bone ad. I'd planned to watxh it later, but I suppose I'm sick ill have to watch it now to make the damn ads go away lol.
Lesson learned - avoid announcing that someone is dead until someone has actually seen the body

Uhhh, this video gives me goosebumps! "Shadow and Bone" was without a doubt the best new show in 2021 and I daresay the past few years. I haven't been looking forward to the return of a show...ever since "Game Of Thrones"! With shows like "Andor", "The Terminal List", "Reacher" and this jewel, I'm in my happy place. Please, please drop the trailer for the second season soon! I want this show back badly (I cannot believe it has been almost two years!!!)! I wish and hope that this show has a full run and gets to tell it's full story! Are you listening Netflix! I hope they realize what they have on their hands!

Ben Barnes brought me to the Grishaverse and I'm happy about it. The saga books are awesome. The adaptation is great. I am eagerly awaiting season 2.😉 I hope to know more about what Aleksander does since in the novel everything is written from Alina's point of view. Ben Barnes has so much to offer the role. Congratulations to the rest of the cast too and to the writers. Looking forward to season 2.
Ben Barnes m'a amené au Grishaverse et j'en suis heureuse. Les livres de la saga sont géniaux. L'adaptation est grandiose. J'attend la saison 2 avec impatience. J'espère en savoir plus sur ce que fait Aleksander puisque dans le roman tout est écrit du point de vue d'Alina. Ben Barnes a tant à offrir au rôle. Bravo au reste du casting aussi et aux scénaristes. Vivement la saison 2.

Wednesday was released few months ago and we’re already being hinted that it will come soon but shadow and bone, what took you so long to renew the series also, idk why Netflix cancelled cursed, i loved it so much wish they made season 2. Another thing, witcher one of the the greatest novel, game and series, its sad that henry is leaving but i wont blame him, the producers are not sticking to the original story. 😢

I thought they canceled it. Glad it’s back, it was hard to follow sometimes but I just had to rewatch to get it more.

They are pushing the most boring and least liked ship of the franchise, sidelining the crows, and sidelining the darkling, and who know how much time they'll give to flesh out the new characers like Nik - there's only 8 episodes and they admitted they're rushing 2 books

idk fans have already forgotten that the grisha are a minority class that was persecuted; that General Zlatan was orchestrating a civil war, secession, to k alina, and to attack the skiff as soon as it landed; that the Novokribirks officials and citizens were openly supporting grisha persecution and having them be captured by fjerdans (nina and the mob scenes); etc etc

If Netflix was smart they would change the trilogy's ending, let's just say it was just as bad as Game of Thrones season 8 - if Leigh Bardugo hadn't made a deal with the devil to create the amazing Six of Crows book the WHOLE FRANCHISE was basically dead. that's how bad the ending was
@@all-for-one-- I read Six of Crows first, so when I finally got to Shadow and Bone I was so confused. The two books are so different writing quality-wise that I was surprised that they came from the same author. Idk if I want to read the sequels to Shadow and Bone though, since I found most of the characters not as interesting as the Crows.
