    Whether it was a global pandemic, a planet-wide volcanic event or a gigantic space rock, we reached the end of the line for our species. Every single human on Earth is gone. For good. While there’s no hope for humanity to make a comeback, we’d be leaving behind a lot of stuff. Cities. Highways. Waste. Time to see just how long it would take for the last remaining traces of human life to disappear.

    I think the earth would move on from us a lot sooner than we think. For instance, in the weeks when lockdown happened in 2020, there were jellyfish in the canals of Venice. The sky and air all over the globe was clearer and cleaner than had been seen in decades. And that was only in a matter of weeks.

  • @Leto85
    @Leto85 Před rokem +7

    I love topics like these. There was a documentary a couple of years back addressing this very subject in incredibly detail. Tsjernobyl was the obvious choice of inspiration, but they went further then that, up to 10.000 years into the future if I recall correctly. That time was set because it was estimated that the last trace of humanity (Hoover Dam and the pyramids) would finally have disappeared by then. After that there wouldn't be anything left of us according to that documentary, though I don't recall if they've mentioned fossilised human remains.
    Those imagery you've chosen are from The Last of Us, aren't they? I haven't played that game, but I love its visuals.

    • @cinemartin3530
      @cinemartin3530 Před rokem +3

      I am also interested in this topic. For some reason, when I hear about this, I feel a kind of anxious but at the same time captivatingly curious feeling, because I want to learn more about everything in this world and about our future, although intuitively I immediately begin to fear for myself, even if there are usually no objective reasons for this. But what can we do, we all subconsciously think that we will live forever )

    • @Leto85
      @Leto85 Před rokem +1

      @@cinemartin3530 That's an interesting read. Why do you think you feel anxious when you hear about this? Is it perhaps a fear of the unknown? Or to lose things? Because for this to happen (and let's hope that it won't) lots of things that we humans have need to disappear first.

    Everything would happen in approximately the same scenario that I imagined. Especially being a person who has been interested in the subject of the post-apocalypse for a long time, I know a lot about it. However, I did not think about the explosions of nuclear power plants, it turned out to be a surprise for me, I did not know well enough how they really work. It seems that half of the post-apocalyptic games and movies are not true, because no one talks about radiation after nuclear power plant explosions in a world where there is certainly no electricity. I hope that in the future your video will be taken into account by the creators of this kind of thing.🤔

    Honestly I'm watching this and absorbing it and like falling asleep it's so peaceful it's like finally there would be peace on Earth and nature would reclaim itself and aside from the nuclear disasters the world would like turn into this paradise. Peace in the streets incredible plant life taking over cracks in the sidewalks making some buildings unstable and crumbling but ultimately aliens One Day visiting Earth would have these incredible structures to look at the way that we look at old structures from thousands of years ago and wonder what those civilizations were like and yet those old structures are surrounded by nature and full of peace. This video is incredibly relaxing. LOL the end of humankind just seems to me like the most beautiful outcome you could ever imagine. Haha I hate to say it but I mean this is just like the most relaxing video I've ever watched. Eventually even the nuclear disasters the radiation would be absorbed by certain plants and organisms and those areas would also become Utopias for the creatures of nature that exist with with an equilibrium with them self and everything else around them.

    • @ardagus9917
      @ardagus9917 Před rokem

      You keep saying nature is full of peace... It's survival of the fittest out there, must brutal and primal as it gets, nature is not peaceful in the slightest, something us humans still struggle with!
      If any other organism discovers a significant advantage over the rest they will cause the extinction of other species around it without any remorse whatsoever.
      Also with humanity gone, would you bet on another intelligent species arising on Earth? And even if they did would they be able to build a civilization with resources significantly depleted or not make the same mistakes we did? If not then any and all life that we know of would die with Earth in a billion years without a chance to spread across the universe and continue on.
      In short, Humanity is life's best and only shot to spread to other worlds!

    • @imachavel
      @imachavel Před rokem +1

      @@ardagus9917 other animals compete with other species instinctually. They are born to do it. Other species don't add emotion to it. There is no jealousy, hate, envy, homophobia, racism, vanity, sexism, no emotional factors. No other species manages to wipe out a species even if its born to do so. There is en equilibrium in nature that humans do not adhere to. Every animal or plant or fungus that dies provides for all around it. No matter how much it consumes it equally replenishes. Not people. Animals do not fight over money, race, land, or sexual desire. They don't create labels or dispel beliefs. There is no religion to kill for or kill over or to proclaim or defend. They wake up an do what they do from the time they are awake until they go to sleep. With humans gone and the peace you say "won't exist" among animals will there be political wars? There is no fighting among species like there is among humans. No comparison exists. No war among animals. No political values. Would an alien species fill the void or another animal species develop intelligence? Would they resume war and fighting? Well I would only hope if humans disappeared the vast stores of libraries detailing science and history and laws would be a lesson to such a species not to repeat our mistakes. But if another species developed the same behavior patterns they would be just as retarded. An animal cannot read. It cannot understand or read a line or comprehend why not to do something. Humans can. And do it regardless. Another species cannot compare to the total retardation displayed by humans. Except in the most basic descriptive fashion that they cannot behave like us because they are too retarded to know how to. They are not smart to comprehend how to be so stupid. A trait I must admit that I admire.
