☝️🤓umm actually because of how Tobey Maguire officially appeared in the MCU that means that he was truly the start of the MCU and it was Marvels first movie.
The way Thanos accepts defeat as he sees his troops falling one by one, knowing he was unable to complete his mission and accepts it like a true man. Abssolutely brilliant and chilling.
I don't think he was losing, in any fight he never needs help, if he would have, it be the first time he asked, he'd look weak to his army, he couldn't fight his feet were off the ground, rain fire, not only stopped her but he didnt ask for anyone to personally attack her, my opinion though.
No, he was just so convinced of his inevitability that now that he lost the shock overwhelmed him. You can tell from looking at him that he's thinking 'how can this be? I'm destined to win. My future self did so I must win as well.' Until he finally sits down thinking about how wrong things were until he goes the way of dust.
Let’s be honest. Thanos was sport enough to accept that he lost. No last scream of “NO!” with defiance or anything. He just accepted he was about to die, sat down, and waited for it.
Nah it definitely clips through. The Corridor Crew channel covered the scene with the VFX supervisor behind endgame. He was the one who pointed it out lol
Same here - just watched this as I got home from gym and realized for the first time I’m wondering if that was Dr Stranges cold to let Tony know it was up to him to sacrifice himself
Yo same dude! I saw this in college with my friends and was like bruh there's no way he wins again 😢😲Tony's nano suit was pure genius and the best plot twist ever. I was like no wayyyy. Hold that L nice n tight Thanos lol
Do you remember how it felt to see that for the first time ever in theaters? I know that 98% of people on earth saw that in the movie theater. I know I remember everyone packed around me in the theater screaming cheers and applause at that, but everyone went silent and cried hard when the next scene happened.
Fun fact: the "and I am Iron Man" segment was added to the film just a few months before it released. Tony originally said nothing. To include the follow up line made the scene a million times more powerful. Endgame is the best movie of the Infinity Saga. And just such a superb film period.
@@maxcarter5965 yes you said exactly what I was going to say. Infinity War is a far superior film technically. Maybe not as enjoyable after you see it the first time since the good guys lose but still it's technically speaking a better constructed movie.
I knew when I saw this movie, Marvel would never be able to top this moment. Too many factors had to come together to make it great. Following so many movies for such a long period of time, is really a once in a generation feat.
When Tony gets the stones you can see the power burning what looks like lightning arcs into his suit up his neck. Can you imagine the pain he must have felt through those words? Wow
iron man is the real hero he sacrifice her self many times your the true legends he didn't not cared if he died the most important he saved all with pure heart at the end
Not only did Iron Man defeat Thanos once and for all, but he unknowingly saved the futures and lives of new characters like Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, Blade, the Eternals, Ms. Marvel, IronHeart, Black Knight, She-Hulk, the Werewolf, Man-Thing, IronHeart, Agatha, Namor, and incoming characters like Deadpool and the Fantastic Four.
0:46 Love the look on Tony’s face as he stares at Thanos’s shocked and fearful face. He’s like “Did you REALLY think I wouldn’t have a backup plan? I’m IRON MAN, bitch!” 😂
I will never forget seeing this in the cinema. Probably the best movie moment of my life. So many years of emotional investment culminating in this beautiful and epic moment.
To this day, I still like to think that The Snap could have just made everything disappear, and not necessarily turn to dust. I like to believe that Tony was 'petty' enough to replicate the dust thing, force Thanos to watch the same thing happen to his army, before he finally turns to dust as well.
Tony once said to loki that- if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it. Sure did they avenge the earth. Tony was ready to sacrifice in Avengers 1 and sure did he sacrificed himself in the end.
I like to think that Tony Stark specifically made it so Thanos poofed last, so that he'd have time to watch all his efforts turn to dust and think about the reality of his "inevitability". It seems a very Stark thing to do.🙂 I can kind of hear him say something like "Your _inevitability_ is a sad, ego driven joke. In the end, what _you want_ is just dust for us to sweep away."
In an interview they revealed that the time it took to become dusted directly correlated to the strength of the being. That's why Spiderman was the last person to dust, because his power levels are completely off the charts. So much so that the comics reveal he has to hold back so as not to just immediately kill people in a single punch. Similarly Thanos was the strongest person on the battlefield that got dusted, to the point where not even the full force on the nanosuit could do much more than cut him. His army was the chitari who Rocket reveals isn't a particularly strong army
Consider that because of this the Avengers saved another universe from Thanos and his snap. EVERYTHING after the start of Guardians Of The Galaxy involving Thanos and his minions never happens. Gamora lives, Vision lives, the refugees from Asgard aren't slain (not sure but maybe the Dwarves aren't slaughtered either), Xandar survives (although Ronin is probably still running around), Strange never loses his spot as Sorcerer Supreme, Stark never dies, Spider-man never gets his legacy or gets his life ruined so no encountering his counterparts, etc.
If you play this from the start at 11:58:52 PM, the snapping part at 1:09 switches the time. This is the best and most gigachad way to end and start a year.
*Well Iron man right after getting all the infinity stones in possession, he should've first actually erase Thanos from existence then his whole army would've automatically perished together with him from not being alive in this whole universe anymore.. Which then later right after that, he'd have all the time in the world to relax and to go look after all of the other Avengers and all those who came in to help, to check for if they're all fine and assess all the damages that happened in this war. To then finally at a later time, regroup all of the team and their minds together to vote for who's gonna be best one to snap these infinity stones to turn everything back to normal and what not.. Hence, he should've first eliminated the biggest threat himself, reassuring everybody that the war ended and then taking all their time to plan it well for the next best move for the well-being of this whole universe..* 🤗
I kind of feel bad for Thanos, part of me is happy that the Avengers won, but the other half is sad because the way he continues to look around seeing his men and all his accomplishments and hard work disappear into dust, knowing that he is next.

Ironman always learns from his mistakes (engineering). Especially when it comes to his suits.
I didn't realize how the stones were eating away at Iron Man's nano armor just before he snapped. Tony would've been fried had he not had the armor.
Tony *was* fried. Not everything was armored and what was exposed was hurt so profoundly he couldn't survive.
