The Focke Wulf 190 Dora is stiff but lethal, the excellent high speed manoeuvrability paired with it's high altitude preset makes it a great Boom and zoomer, unfortunately it's not very good at dealing with people that have more energy than you.

I can't believe it. When I started flying in War Thunder I watched Long5hot's videos. He had one about spiral climbing and the Rope-a-Dope. What was that Spifire thinking of?! He had a FW 190 above him and thought he could zoom-climb up to you with obviously too low energy. I confess I still play mostly Arcade because I last just minutes in RB and am useless for my team. But even I know not to do what this Spifire pilot. Crikey!
The fw 190 d13 is always a fun plane to play. I always play it if I want to chill out. Good video

I met you in the game yesterday :D it was El Alamein or some other desert map. You and Whooptie were both in fw 190 i was in the K4 that climbed with you. Shame our entire team died too quickly

I got this plane on a discount a few months back, I don’t regret it at all. From my experience in the Antons I love this thing, only plane I really fear is the P-47M, and even then I just drag those vertical
since i got it i have been living in nothing but agony
P-47M is superior in every way aside from armament.
@@2shae475 and roll rate. Roll rate wins you fights if you know what you're doing with this beast. All it takes is one shot of the 3 x 30mm and your opponent is dead or crippled. P51? No issue. Spitfire? No issue. F4U? No issue. P47? No issue. The only things I am a little afraid of are the Russian kamikaze pilots: when they realize they're gonna lose they usually try to ram me.
This is one of the easiest planes I've ever flown, the only thing I enjoy more is the KI 43 Hayabusa.

As of update Hot Trash, the Doras are at a bad place. Uptiers (F2Gs) and bad german team comps (4+ 288s) games will be a slog to get victories in. Still a beautiful plane to fly, but things aren't as ideal as they used to be.
basiclly one of the best premiums ever grinded the entire german tree with it at the beginning when the 262 was still one of the few jets in the game
I bought this plane.(I was a tank guy). Use flaps in dog fights (Try to avoid them if you can). Do barrel rolls and manouvers if need it,but if you play for the objective and you stay alive for the whole match with some landings you can earn up to 20-25k research if you got some players too

After having the D9 Ta-H and Ta-C is worth the Dora12? Always dreamed with it but rushed the He162 instead...
I've rewatched this at least 5 times, and every single time that Wyvern kill makes me rewatch it 3 times. I wish I was as good at aiming the guns, I know you develop a feel for it eventually, but any suggestions for how to make sure your aim is on point?
Quick tip when using lower velocity guns such as cannons against faster targets aim much further ahead of your target and start firing early so they fly through your shots also try to take note of how fast they are going you will have to lead much less against a stalling opponent but much further against fast opponents
How you set it to where keyboard controls for movement(the reticle) take the cursor circle with it

DEFYN. FW190C???? i watched tims video on it, thought abt getting it but theres no ground armament for grb and its purpose is for higher alt than the others... so yeah theres better options for me but it looks like it would be super cool to have.
Everytime the instructor flicks the rudder I lose 50km/h

I prefer the d13
Its better for high alt and has boosted ailerons
The d9 is better at low alt but the roll compresses more and it misses the extra 20mm
I think the D-13 is better plus its a good SL grinder

How the hell did you out climb a Spitfire in a D-13 continuously for multiple minutes? Never happened to me. Tested it multiple times. All Spits outperform every Fw at any altitude in every aspect, including dive (roll rate the only exception). Also, I've even switched of the rad to gain every single bonus and it still didn't help. What magic is that? Are we playing the same game?
It's an LF9 they dont climb well above 5000 meters and its slow up there.
Griffons however will take a dump on you if they play it right. The higher you go vs merlin spits, the harder they suffer
Defyn how does the d12 compare to the d13 in performance? I know that the armament setup is different but apart from that how does the d13 differ from the d12

152h in terms of performance easily, but the BR is a thing.

How does it compare to the d-9 and d-12 ?
Slightly different engines between the three but fly exacly the same(Only D9 climbs better at low alt but worse at high). However, I think the D13 is the only one with boosted controls, so its got extremely good high speed authority over the control surfaces.
I like the D13 the most because of the guns. Three 151s very close together are DEADLY. You can snipe up to 1.3km with them if you get used to them, bombers wont start shooting at you at that range most of the time. The D9 has two 13mils(plus two 20s) which are useless and D12 has a 108 - 30mil (plus two 20s) which i personally dont like at all, because the muzzle energy is so diffrent to the 20 mils.
Overall its a great plane which can also be used in ground battles with a 500kg bomb (against "lighter" targets the 4x50kg can work as well - or everything when you are accurate enough :P ), where it can hold its own with a little bit of help from the flaps even in one on one turn fights.
D9 has a better low alt engine
D12/13 has a better high alt engine
D13 has boosted ailerons
All different guns ofcourse

Here's an easy guide.
1 - Wait for it to drop to 8.7 (because Gajoob).
2- Use your superior climb rate and speed to get above everyone.
3 - BnZ the everliving shit out of defenseless 7.7 and 8.0 jets.
4 - ????
5 - Profit
Goofy but watch out for clever meteor mk4 players that are capable of following it into the vertical and killing it

Well depending if you are fighting the german mig 15 or the russian, but the 163 can counter you, just stay away of that cancer and then the somehow 8.0 la 200, probably la 15 and be careful with the cougar, they can keep but the la 200 will win against a 15bis
