Natural park Ancient valley of the river Abava. The area of the park is 14,837 hectares. The purpose of the creation of the park was to preserve the landscape, meadows, forests, animals and plants of the region. The nature park "Abavas senleja" is included in the Natura 2000 list of protected natural areas of European importance.
