Climbing the Zugspitze in August 2023 from Austria. Our first via ferrata. Description of the route, useful information.
The Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany. Its height is 2962 meters above sea level.
The shortest and easiest route to the Zugspitze starts from the Austrian side, in a place called Ehrwald, 20 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Its length is only 6 km.
The via ferrata section where equipment is needed starts from the Vienna Hut. This path has its own name - Der Stopselzieher Klettersteig, which translated into Russian means “corkscrew”. The via ferrata itself is not difficult, level A/B, which is quite suitable for beginners.
Via ferrata are high-risk areas on mountain trails equipped with auxiliary elements - cables, ladders, brackets, suspension bridges and, sometimes, tunnels. This is for those who want to feel a little like a mountain climber.

Живу не далеко от этих мест, километров так 30... Согласен, что правильная одежда важна. приятно смотреть на ребят - ботинки, перчатки, куртки - все правильно подобрано. а вот автор в кроссовках? или это ботинки? а то бывает смотришь как некоторых - в горы идут в кроссовках городских и футболках ХБ... По поводу лучшей панорамы можно спорить, но там места супер! Спасибо за видео.
