It makes me so sad that one sea serpent was sold and is probably being cared for in a collection and the other is sat in the murky water just waiting to fall apart..... Poor guy....

These are actually two separate serpents. One is from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and the other from Submarine Voyage
I forgot about submarine voyage, i knew there were two but when trying to find things to make this i completely forgot about submarine voyage

Neither is the one from 20k leagues under the sea one isnt but the problem is that it has water damage because it stayed in the water from 1994 until 2004 before the pond was emptied

I love this so much cause the sea serpents are the only submerged animatronics I’m not scared of, other than the Bunyip at Murray Bridge.
I think most of the videos you can find are when he isn’t in good condition too. I really do want to see him some day.
Sadly I used to live in Australia but I moved away when I was really young so I never had the chance to see him 😢.

I doubt that water is so deep, I think Is probably 2-3 feet deep, since the whole tank is supposed to be covering the snake, not leaving it exposed.

The attraction got buried and replaced it with a STUPID mine cart ride.
And I hate it. I want the attraction back so badly!

His head was taken off by a man and put it on his wall but the sea seprent no no no he is completely destroyed into pieces it's just sad...

the submarine voyage one looks like he'd be kindhearted but sorta dopey, and the 20k leagues one looks like a prankster mischievous type to me!
This is currently my favorite video, it's so odd how I've become so fascinated with an animatronic sea serpent from a ride that's long gone, makes me a bit sad but at least we have videos and pictures (':

1:40 This image never fails to give me chills, I don’t have submechanophobia but, man that is absolute nightmare fuel.
Tbh this works well as a story about an empathetic explorer finding an lonely sea serpent who has spent its life alone under the sea after the locals saw it and found it scary.
Instead of leaving the poor creature by itself, he befriends it, and finds out its quite friendly despite its appearance.
He then goes on to slowly reintroduce his newfound friend to the locals, who realize they were wrong in their assumptions and welcome the creature to visit above the water any time it likes
This completely changes the vibe I have been getting from vids where these 2 are portrayed as being scary and creepy, I think the music makes them seem so much nicer
Man I wish I could buy one and keep it in my house on land , far away from water or the pool. No way I'm swimming with that thing-
If i see this animatronic i will:
Cut lines
Cross colored ropes
Dodge security
Very likely be arrested
Break rules

I hate hate hate murky water, but I'd jump in head first to show the 20,000 serpent he's loved endlessly, even by people scared of his principal. He'd be safe and happy, if only for a while.

I never realized how fortunate I was to have been on this ride. This gives me wonderful memories of shoving my little brother out of the way so I could see this guy. Best part of the ride by far!

Fun fact! Go in the Main Street theatre in Disney world and go to the little D23 thing, and you will see the Disneyland sea serpent in the water! I couldn’t be happier to see him.

I'm very glad to see that the other sea surpent is ok, but I wish they didn't burry the other one underground, that image is probably under where a new attraction is and the sea surpent never moved form it's og sopt
Actually i probably got a reason why
Well firstly the one in Submarine voyage i will call Walter because this was one of the first rides added and plus thats Walt disneys name
And lets call submarine voyage one John
So Walter was actually more famous and plus Walt Disney actually loved him way more
Walt Disney even had a mini statue of the little guy in his office along with beside a pool a statue with it
While with John he wasnt rlly that....famous
Yes he did have a good amount of ppl going in there but at the same time he wasnt getting the love he loved
So Disney when they found out Walt Disney actually loved Walter way more they decided to bring one of the first animatronics on a e ticket ride to actually be showcased.
While John wasnt rlly in mind of the co workers
And even thought he rotted away its actually confirmed somebody took his head as a collectors item but left the body because shittingly i dont know
So body was fuck up and got grinded and turned into dirt
While Walter was living his dream to be noticed again

The 20,000 league's under the sea was my moms favorite ride! Than it closed down. I never knew what submachinepobia was but than I stumbled across a video... I watched it and that's whean it all began. I looked up pictures and than I seen the 20,000 leagues under the sea animatronic all decaying and stuff and I had to show my mom, she was shocked. It's sad to see how one is with a collector and one was just left there...
Does anyone know what happened to the 20,000 Leagues serpent? I really hope he was given to someone who cares about animatronics, or is at least in a place where he won't decay any further.
Some speculation (im not sure if its true or not) is that he was burried under with the rest of everything to have the mine train put ontop of him

Well its said that somebody took his head which actually might be true
