Vivaldi was a priest at an orphanage. He would compose pieces and give them to the string quartet made of orphan girls there at the orphanage. So this performance feels very true.
I’m crying
And his music reached all over Europe, the Emperor of Vienna was his friend and the pope was going to meet him , he influenced Bach and his music was copied all over , that made him say : I am going to compose faster than a copier would copy !!
It still baffles my mind how he is so underappreciated
@@alaaobaid3363 what a legend.
now Vivaldi isn't underrated or overshadowed but to be honest, his temper in the music is something I didn't think I'll ever hear in the baroque era, these concertos for strings are so full of action, and this is somewhat unique\interesting for me and I can't see why less people are talking about it, all we hear about it Bach's counterpoint and Mozart's dad'd boringness.
@@dan-us6nk
You are absolutely right, the thing is that Vivaldi was also skilled at making counterpoint, he made multiple fugues and multi layered fugues in lots of his work , although music isn't just about complexity , I prefer an unforgettable melody than a scientifically intercepting boring melodies
@@alaaobaid3363 Exactly. What you're saying essentially is that Vivaldi is nice to listen to, plain and simple
I listened to almost ALL versions of this concert on CZcams. Considering the ages of the soloists this version is absolutely outstanding!!!
Chloe is special.

I love that they barely look at the sheet music- shows you how much they practiced and memorized each passage. They take most of their cues from each other- watching when they either enter or exit a passage
I mean it's pretty typical to memorize pieces if you're a soloist. In case something happens like you knock over your music. Also due to the practice one essentially memorizes their part along with others.
It's so much easier memorising rather than playing whilst following along
Practicing 40 hours a day helps
in the process of learning something fast like this, you gain enough muscle memory to be able to play most of it from memory without the intention
Chloe's smile to other violinists is super cute ❤️😊
9:30 top left lady's hair dyed pink
HAHAHAHHHAHAAH
😂😂😂😂😂
@Tanukouï-San she practices 40 hours a day
@Tanukouï-San Ling Ling is so good at violin that he can grow hair by thinking about it
@cl13 LING LING 40 HOURS
2:37 the way Chloe poses the bow on the string, serene and graceful
En tant que "premier violon", Chloe Chua montre une fois de plus ses qualités de grande violoniste et dirige parfaitement ce concerto. Très belle prestation de l'ensemble.
0:50 I. Allegro
4:25 II. Largo - Larghetto - Adagio - Largo
6:47 III. Allegro
Love hearing these rising violinists!
Chloe's sound is just so well projected and subtle, and I especially like the interpretation, very interesting and beautiful. I think this is one of the best and most spectacular performances of a work by Vivaldi. Bravo to everyone!!
Chloe's situational awareness is more than exemplary, it is off the charts.
Love the smile and the vibe of the female bassist
Awesome! 7:48 - 7:50 3rd violin and 1st violin "talking" :)
I love how they exchanged smiles!
is "talking" a term really used in violin playing or is it just an extra thing violinists may do?
winterheat2 is the interpretation of the musicians, we must flow and feel what we are playing, depending on the type of work there are conversations for the instruments that the author composed and they are usually found in this type of work (I'm sorry if I didn't make myself understood, I don't speak English 🥺)
@@winterheat in this particular case I meant exchanging smiles and understanding without words :)
@@esperanzasanchez8781 we understand you completely :)
Love Chloe smile
9:47 chloe and the other boy looking at each other was so cute (meant platonically)
ii haven't heard classical music in a while, and I had goosebumps till the very end listening to this.
that's Vivaldi, he's amazing.
I love the interaction between Chloe and Wang Shihan😍 9:24
😊
I was trying to figure out who he was, and just found it. Impressive.
Chloe is so chill and amazing!
Yeah, and the part where she smiles and looks at the other violinists feels so wholesome
They pass on the melody to each other.
Edit: OMG, thx for all the likes!
Go Cloe. We love you Italy!
Oh my gosh my favourite violin piece performed by my favourite violinist?!
Brilliant concert. Loved watching the soloists and the orchestra was amazing. Well done everyone
Good interpretation for their age. Strange microphone placement though. It's picking up the orchestra loud and clear, but not so well the soloists.
They make the recording like how it would sound in the concert hall. Thats the beauty of classical music in my opinion playing against and with a whole orchestra sry for my bad english
Honestly I feel like the orchestra wasnt paying attention to their soloist. Good ensembles try to make their soloists shine, typically by playing softer than them, so those bars of music can be heard.
@@arianah8842 After reading this comment I fully agree and now see that happening here
@@arianah8842 it’s probably because of the microphone placement that makes unable to hear the soloists
9:24 i love their smile😍
Such amazing talent from everyone up there. It's such a breath taking performance.
不是說其他人實力不好,他們都是很有實力的小提琴家,但是柯宜對聲音情緒的刻畫,感覺要比其他三位又更深一點。
I couldn't help but clap too! Excellent.
Absolutely beautiful🌍⭐☀️🌝👍💐👏
My school orchestra is playing this and what a big difference there is.
at the beginning I had to check to make sure my playback speed wasn't 1.5× mannnnn
man in the front with the gray hair and violin was such a mood
Què buen concierto ,, VIVALDI , Calidad , Pasiòn , a los cuatro violinistas,,, Felicitaciones ,,, !!!!
Chloe 👸🎻👍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥰😁
Increíble, hermoso 👏👏
Beautiful. Good job!
最高の演奏だと思います🎵
The children's astounding mastery
Great!
After watching the recent twoset's video with Chloe and coming back here again, I suddenly realized that she is now (2020) about the same height as Wang Shihan in this video. Wow. I'm used to seeing her as a small kid in all the videos with her performances. I'm glad she's physically growing. As far as I know, her parents are not tall at all. I was afraid that she would also be small. I guess she's taller than them now.
EDIT. BTW, if you came here because of Chloe, maybe you will be interested to know that there is one more video of this Vivaldi's piece 1st movement. The soloists there are Chloe Chua, Kevin Zhu, Christian Li, Siqing Lü.
@@erinam9749 Taller violinists have longer arms, which makes it a little easier for them to play a full-sized violin. That's all.
@@kaivaon573 longer arms doesn't really make a difference. it depends on how flexible your fingers are and the length.
Ik I'm 6 months late but can you link the video you were talking abt? I can't find it anywhere😭

Wow! Beautiful 🙌✨
Chloe was the best
Maravilhoso!
Ein wunderbares Ensemble der Jugend❤
Chloe seemed more at ease than the other 3 but I'm a chole van ..........I might be just a little biased :)
Vivaldi lets river cascades fast.....magnanimous and so reverently effervescent
Tre agrabla, stimula kaj inspira muzika..
Muy bello , los 4 pero en Chloe se escucha más sutil , esepcional , bello !*😊

Well .. that was good fun.
There's a version of this piece for 4 Harpsichords, made by J S Bach. He knew and estimated Vivaldi's music.
It's BWV 1065.
👍👍👍
Bravos! A beautiful combination of flow and rhythm. Viva Vivaldi! Thanks for uploading. ❤️🎻🎵🎼🎶👏🇮🇪☘️
👍👏👏👍👏
Oh estuvo hermoso, muy bien trabajado, se puede decir perfecto. Me hicieron sentir a Vivaldi vivo.
It seems faster than I am used to, is it just me?
Chloe seemed to be the only violinist conscious of the music, conscious of the presence, trying to communicate in subtle ways. The other 3 seemed to be in a world of their own, playing solo, just conscious of their own part of the music. Well done Chloe!
I mean they were looking at each other quite a bit throughout the piece
Chloe the OG 😂 I’d be nervous on stage too 😊
Somehow, I feel this performance had a higher pace? Bpm? Idk, feels faster than other performance
How much those violins play by the youngsters?

i might be wrong, but it seems to me that art in any form has the capability to unite people, everything else - religion, nationalisms, politics, capitalism has in their essence goal to divide and rule

Bach's and Vivaldi's concerto for 4 instruments sound literally the same except for the music type of Vivaldi and Bach
I'll be chloe chua
The intensity and drama of this performance is amazing. Shame about the mistakes and the lack of rhythm, though. That was very distracting to me.
They didn't really do a great job setting mics anywhere near where we could capture the soloists' performances, unfortunately. I'm having to crank up my volume uncomfortably loud just to get a shot at hearing the details I'm listening for. It's too bad.
Chloe kind of looks like Chihiro.

the height difference between Chloe and the guy next to her XD
the 2nd violin loses his control on speed
😊
But that does not impact his passionate playing..

2:30 in the guy screws up.. just saying
That was painful. I felt the embarrassment for him :(
@Tanukouï-San haha I wouldn’t say ling ling prodigies, ling ling distant cousin, maybe 4th cousin or something. @twosetviolin
@Tanukouï-San from 2:30 until around 2:36 .. syncopation was not very common, if not at all! especially with Bach.
The mistake is obvious for anyone who has studied this piece. Chloe also has a one note slip around the 3:00 mark. That being said, it was overall a very enjoyable performance.
