What a great performance. Especially the girl on the left communicating through mimics and gestures.
Also big probs to the cameramen and editors. They really managed to capture so many interesting details with their cuts, which I would have surely missed in panorama mode.

The "girl on the left" is the concert leader, first violin. Even the conductor watches her.

This is amazing. Vivaldi wrote for an all-female orchestra such as this. The orphans of the Ospidelle da Pietà in Venice learned music from a very young age and gave concerts like this with Vivaldi conducting. A must- see for any European in the 18th century. I feel the need praise to the people who edited the video of these performance. Not only were the girls amazing, but the editors also did a fantastic job on adjusting the overall color scheme. I’m a graphic design student so I absolutely appreciate how they brought up the feeling of class and elegance by having using orange, brown and black. Incredible work from both arts.

If great music is the Word of God, musicians like these are the angels who bring it to us. Vivaldi never was more alive than he is here in this great score. Magnificent solos, and stellar ensemble! Cellist Anna Wasik deserves kudos also. Beautiful and balanced recording, too.
Even with my limited musical education, I can understand what a technically demanding piece this is I have heard several recordings, but this stands out as by far the best. Congratulations to the four violinists, but also to a fine orchestra!

I do wish the BBC would realise this is the way music television should be made. No inane comments, just a very brief intro followed by superb camera and audio work. I just love the work of Akademia Filmu i Telewizji. Of course the musicians are all superb too, this video shows them off brilliantly.
Now watching and listening with my chromecast on a 50 inches tv I have had to repeat it 4 times. These girls and all young musicians from beautiful Poland MUST be very proud of their talent. The Best of the whole World in perfect performance.
These girls make it look so easy but it's a lot of hard work and this piece is very technical.

Given its size and population, no nation suffered as much during the last world war as Poland. I thus find it inspiring beyond words to see that classical music is alive and thriving there...not to mention how uplifting it is to listen to the great Vivaldi performed by these talented and beautiful young women.

When I first started to explore Vivaldi's music many years ago I wasn't a fan of this piece.
However watching and listening to it "live" has made me think again. A magnificent performance, thank you ladies and gentlemen.

I first discovered this performance 11th March 2020 during covid lockdown here in the UK, and at the time it had 839,710 views. It is a performance that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face especially 03:35 to 03:50 mark as the middle 2 girls nearly have a giggling fit.
This performance introduced me to classical music as I have never listened to any before so l am a late comer to it at the age of 55 .
