- And we're back! Here is a video we filmed at the end of last year that I'm excited to finally release! Watch the first half now and save the second half for nap time, lol.
So I've seen a lot of non-ASMR youtubers release ASMR videos in the last few months, so I wanted to do a deep dive into what ASMR is and then try an ASMR segment of my own. Thankfully, I got Gibi of Gibi ASMR to help me figure out what it's all about. What did you think of my ASMR segment? Did you like the haircut roleplay? Did any part give you tingles?

I like bubbles and hair washing, and I recently started liking the 'wood soup' ones, but I super agree! It just makes me feel like they don't understand ASMR, but I'm sure it's there for someone else. I just wish there were better tags for 'genres of ASMR'.
Safiya's adorable quirkiness and loving reassurance (during the role playing) are so nicely balanced - I love that. Whenever I feel kinda lonely or cut off from the rest of the world, her videos are my go-to rescue place. Plus, her methodology for creating awesome content is simply eloquent and thorough, it just makes me appreciate her personality even more...

I don't know if you're into makeup at all but JenLuvsReviews is by far the most in-depth "beauty guru" I've ever heard of. The really heavy amount of research she does into products, ingredients, companies, pricing, new launches, etc. It's crazy & amazing.

It’s been a year since this video was posted, but I keep coming back to it. I can never make it through this entire video. Not because it’s annoying, but because Safs normal voice is so soothing to me that this just calms me into sleep. I have never made it passed the clear plastic pants before falling asleep.

We have the same taste in ASMR: I LOVED the triggers you chose! And your whispering voice is very pleasant, too.
In church we were supposed to sit still and be quiet, right?! When we were at a family church event, my favorite thing was having a cousin to sit by and we would trace our finger up each other’s arm with eyes closed and try to guess when they’d reach the crease of our elbow. So tingly.
I also like someone tracing their finger on my face. I definitely fell in love with visual triggers because they take me back to that and give me that same sensation. It really surprised me that it would actually make me feel something when not actually being touched!
Only Safiya Nygaard would do extensive research on ASMR and I stan for it.

I remember when this was first uploaded, I exited before the asmr portion started as I had an aversion to it, especially whispering, at the time. Look at me now watching through that part I left off as the these past years has made me rely on ASMR for relaxation

The commentary during the ASMR part was PRICELESS!! I was roaring with laughter!! I get icked out by whispering (probably because its a wet sound), but I love sounds (dry) of inanimate objects, so the comedic commentary was perfect to keep me from being repulsed by the whispers. That was one of my favorite ever!!

As someone who's been watching Asmr since 2013 I can say that this is the first non Asmr channel that's actually a deep dive video of what Asmr actually is the other videos I saw where just ignorant nieve people who just point and laugh at it anyway I'm surprised that you didn't have Maria Whispers on since she's like the biggest and most well known Asmrtist in the Asmr community

The ASMR portion is actually pretty legit, and both parts were cool. Instead of treating the whole thing like a joke like most CZcamsrs, you did a good job making it funny and very Safiya, but with plenty of tingles and respect.

I love that asmr has brought some attention to mirror-touch synesthesia and synesthesia in general. All of these massage asmr videos are so helpful for stress as someone who has mirror-touch synesthesia- I can literally feel what others feel when I see them. So I feel as though someone is giving me a massage when I see someone else getting one. WhispersRed does some stuff with that and it is so lovely and comforting

Thank you SO much for doing the asmr community right 👏👏👏 From the videos i've seen/ my experiences, so many of these "i tried" videos end up mocking & providing misinformation of asmr, without realizing there are real people with valid reasons to enjoy watching or creating asmr. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a lot of the "i tried asmr" videos myself. And I understand asmr may seem silly at first glance, and nothing is safe from humour, but the scales were seriously out of balance. I truly hope more videos attempt to spread asmr positive messages, and, with a bit more empathy & knowledge, lightheartedly poke some fun at it. This was amazing 🙌💙

As someone who loves ASMR and listens to it every night to help with insomnia I think you did a great job. I hate when youtubers make fun of it or dismiss it as weird. Also learning some history about ASMR was interesting ❤️
I understand the making fun of it bothers you. It bothers me too, but I think it's great a lot of them do funny things in a relaxing way. Mikaela long was really funny but I still enjoyed her video LOL

@@babydragon5213 I reccomend latte asmr as an asmr channel, she doesnt post much but what she does post is really high quality, she layers sounds and usually does RP videos with a few specific tingle videos
