- look around workington walking shop pubs Town center..@ St John's Church, Workington @St John the Evangelist
Designed by Philip Hardwicke and completed in 1823, the design is based in St Paul's in Covent Garden, with many internal design features referencing our patron St John the Evangelist. @@@
More footage of Workington on my channel, enjoy.
There's still some more shops and streets you missed but decent video anyway, Cheers for the upload.
Thanks
Show us Moorclose😮
didn't think hmv still existed, thought they went extinct
Well done seeing the other shops but u missed marks and sparks and other shops in that shopping arcade. When i was a kid the town was always popular for shopping from other towns like Maryport etc...
Thanks have good night
There's nothing nice about Workington, it's a dump!
I like workigton people speak to you its handy for the lakes nice ride to the soloway costal road to siloth not in workington now reiterd to thailand with my thai wife no regrets 😊😊😊nice video asa mara. 😊
Thanks.have good week.
I used to live there it has changed some since I have moved away miss it so much. It is so different now than back then. But it's still a great place to stay and visit.
Did you used to have choppers?
Being an outsider from day 1 at school in 1965, the teachers bullied and reject you as did the pupils who followed suit, to my last day in 1983, I was never part of the tapestry. You mentioned if you are born here or come here, my strongest advice would be to anybody considering moving to Workington.......DON"T.
My sister was married in 1971 at St John's Church you visited, it hasn't changed much since then.
Thanks for your comments 😃😃.have a good day
I'm from the same area you are from, so just visiting is not like living there amongst them.@@jontravelalot
Used to live in seaton, just outside Workington. Hope to see you do another one soon
The nicer street while not being mostly boarded up still has a majority of shops that would indicate a downturn in the fortunes of that town. Charity shops, betting shop, must have phone shop and street markets full of cheap trinklets. Perhaps Iceland was the exception, but their frozen goods are at the lower end of the quality scale. You can tell a non Catholic church....no tabernacle on the altar
