    when i decided to follow Jesus, i was at the foot of my bed when i prayed to Him for the first time in my life with the sinner's prayer. i had not been publicly baptized yet. however, i truly believe that from the time i asked Jesus to come into my life, that day in my home, that i was baptized with the Holy Spirit. my entire body filled with a numbing sensation (similar to getting goosebumps) and i mean from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. and it stayed with me for 10-15 minutes. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! i was baptized in church approx a week or two later (because of scheduling, or I would have done it immediately). but i truly believe that if i had not made it to the public baptism, that i would still have gone to be with Jesus, as i realized later on in my walk with God, that i had already been baptized by the Holy Spirit when I gave my life to Jesus. remember the thief and Jesus on the cross? Jesus answered him: Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise’” (Luke 23:43). btw, i was also born in sf (mid 70's) and it's awesome to see someone that grew up in sf in the family of God!!! Francis, thank you for allowing God to speak through you and to use you for His purposes! i've backslid recently and hearing God speak to me through your vids has renewed a little bit of passion in my life for Him! keep fighting the good fight!

    I knew that Francis would not like the intoduction. The man exalted Francis. I really am touched by Francis' humility. He knows that God hates pride.

      When a preacher prioritizes their self-interest and attempts to rationalize this approach by attributing it to the influence of the Holy Spirit, it diverts humility from accepting God's transformative work in human lives. The essence lies in God's power to bring about spiritual change. It is heartening that Francis adeptly reprimanded a preacher who focused on self-gratification, exalting oneself, and employing material possessions to satisfy personal desires. My experience of transformation and redemption through Christ is further strengthened as I observe such instances. I am deeply grateful for the presence of a humble spirit in individuals like Mr. Chan and their profound connection with God. It is a shining example of an authentic and meaningful relationship with the divine.

    Thank God for Francis being so humble and not allowing others to put him on a pedestal like he is more than anyone else. I was shocked at that first guy talking about Francis Chan like he was God...

    I love the community that you have mentioned... 😊
    I also like to believe that people that are around with me in Christ, in the church, they are all saved! I need to check myself now, how did i live my life, actually it will revealed of who we are, how we live our life, will tell how much we want to be saved, and we live the way we want yet thinking in our heart that we actually want people to be saved? Seriouly? The way we have that kind heart, we thought we have it because we hope or said someone is saved, we will also be accepted by other we will be saved. Hey! We can agreed with each other but fundamentally He is the one that decide. You may say that, that's right! Who are you to judge? No no no! Look into His words and start to think right with the help of the Holy Spirit, hot or cold, anything in between, He vomit you out! Guess my salvation does not come from how you think, yours either, lets be real and think right with the help of the Holy Spirit! Yes... Let us help each other through love to walk according to His words.

    "Do you think that you could pay Frances Chan ENOUGH money to get him to come here." Huh? That's so wrong. I HOPE that was in jest.

    The introduction sounds like Francis' schedule was completely full until 2013 but "enough money" by Westwood could bring him there. What was that all about? What a misleading introduction...

  • @Franaflyby
    @Franaflyby Před 2 lety

    I know this was 8 years ago however, I don't think it was like we think it is . I don't think it was like a money bribe to get him here. It was more like that guy was in cahoots and near enough Francis to have got ahold of him talked about it and booked it. Frances Chan isn't in charge of booking his speeches. So let's not judge anyone. Apparently God wanted him there because he's there. Don't let the enemy cause contentions, division or gossip.

    Francis you do not want the applause, nor being famous. Would you do this for the Lord for only what it costs you to fly to preach, in a commercial flight> stay with the people who invite you> Jesus said, you dont need anything to preach my word.
    Im waiting to see another Mother Theresa.

    This is SICK! Worshiping men, having to come up with huge sums of money to bribe them to come speak and then publicly swooning over him in one's car while people cheer and clap for a supposed man of God! Then having to listen to his false modesty --- saying -----oh forget it---- this is disgusting!!! Shame on all of this audience!!!

    • @VK-fy9wk
      @VK-fy9wk Před 5 lety +3

      Shame on YOU. That man that introduced Francis was definitely exalting him and it was gross. But for you to suggest that Francis was BRIBED suggests that FRANCIS saw it as a bribe and accepted. You NEED to provide evidence of that if you are going to make that accusation. False modesty? How is it false? I don't care that this comment is 3 years old, it needed to be addressed.
