  • Today, I’m going to be talking about Maleficent because her entire timeline is so confusing, and it seems entirely intentional.

    Also, Maleficent wants the Book because you can uses those Books to write more into the World with them. So Maleficent could write herself a World, a fiction, she controlled utterly and completely, and then manifest it into Reality.

    Also, Master Xehanort explains to Maleficent about time travel as he tells her about the Princesses of Heart and Kingdom Hearts in Birth by Sleep. He also tells her about Terra, and his Keyblade, and Terra's darkness. Maleficent's job there is to sew doubt in Terra and Ventus so Xehanort can manipulate them better. Maleficent even states she "was asked to leave you (Ventus) unharmed". She doesn't say who, but the context is, it is Xehanort. Ventus has to fight Vanitas as part of Xehanort's plan.
    Also, Maleficent attacked Radient Garden between Birth by Sleep and One when Apprentice Xehanort releases the Heartless and captures Kairi. Maleficent senses the "change in darkness' and comes running. I think she is the one who change the name.
    Maleficent plan in One was giving to her by Master Xehanort in BBS then stolen by Riku/Ansem SOD "after she "did her job".
    Also, if you pay attention to a scene in Re Coded and a Final Mix cutscene in One, we realize the Brown Coat figure (Ansem SOD) sends Riku through a dark portal from the destroyed Destiny Islands to where Maleficent is. So, her other job is dark teacher and false mother figure to make him more susceptible to darkness and Ansem SOD.

    Also, Maleficent defends Sora because she realized she cannot defeat Xemnas and the Nobodies and that Saix can control the Heartless. So Sora can defeat them for her with his Keyblade.

    One of things I noticed with Maleficent and Ansem SOD/ Riku is when Riku? stabs her heart, He calls to her darkness, like a ritual. He then tells her to "become Darkness itself".
    Maleficent calls this power "true darkness". So the Dragon we face in One may be a Darkness the way the Heartless are a Darkness. Darkness wearing Maleficent's Dragon.
    Ansem SOD/Riku? also suggest the Heartless were using Maleficent. Heartless are the dimished Wills of a Darkness, and Ansem So is a Heartless himself. He would know.
    And Heartless can still manipulate like Darkness, it is just at the level of a dog or an insect.

    I was very intrigued since KH3. I mean maleficent role. In that game was just...cameos ...her quest didn't seem to be sporting to the trama, the book of prophecies wasn't even mentioned. By anyone besides her ...we never fought her. She didn't interact with anyone. And when did she slide with Pete ?? So many questions I have. From her role. Sone KH3 😆

    The reason why maleficent remembered the time travel journey is because she doesn't have a chirithy .

    First off you did a very clear description and breakdown of Maleficent's timeline as we know it. I also mostly agree that it seems that she is being used by Xehanort, Darkness, and likely will be used by MoM or Luxu in the future. That said I do think it is possible that Maleficent will get out form under these people that are using her and become her own side of MoM's and Darkness's war.
    interestingrealizegiantbranding the war field with the sigil it makes more sense. It does go deeper then that of course. I have lost which report it is but in one it is talked about how there are four sides to the keyblade war. ServantsReconcile the Two" and "Those who Lust for Power" which likely means that a true war needs all four sides to complete the X. Which means (surprising no one) that the war in KH3 which only had two side and both imitations rather then the real thing, was not really a keyblade war.
    Maleficent is really starting to look like part of the last group if not the leader. I would guess that others are going to join her side as soon as she starts making true moves. I am not sure if it will be like KH1 where she uses the other Disney villains, or if people like Lauriam and Elrena are also going to join her group. It could even be that there are several groups within the "Those who Lust for Power" group. After all Lusting for Power doesn't really make for great teamwork.
    No matter what though I really do believe that before the end of this Maleficent is going to be a force in her own right. Or she is going to try to be it could be that she fails and someone else takes the leadership role of the fourth side. However the only reason I can think of for her to fail is because she doesn't have a keyblade and it does seem like all for sides should have keyblades.

      It would be really nice if Maleficent becomes exactly what you described. They seem to be focusing more on the female empowerment motif now, so they could definitely focus on the female “villain” while they are at it.

      @hillaryslack2884 Před 3 lety +1

      @@pajamaletsplay9859 It's a possibility that I really like. The fact that the KH team keeps pointing her out and having her do things really makes me think that they at lest have some plan for her. You don't have a character show up in every game without them being important. And when I say every game I mean it, she is in every game, she's even in KHMOM as a boss fight one of four in the game.
      I could be wrong and they don't have anything really planed for her. But if they do then they have wasted a lot of screen time for a character that in the end didn't matter. It's the same reason I think Dillan and maybe Aeleus are going to be important at some point even though they don't have lines, and thus look for theories about them or come up with them myself.

    • @pajamaletsplay9859
      @pajamaletsplay9859  Před 3 lety

      I completely agree with you. It would absolutely be a waste, and it does seem like they are going to give her a bigger role at some point

    • @Fragmentsinfractals488
      @Fragmentsinfractals488 Před 3 lety +1

      @@pajamaletsplay9859 Well, she is a Waypoint for Darkness. So Darkness follows her and might be whispering in her ear. Whatever is in the Box is the McGuffin that will allow Light to Win. What if Maleficent is there to allow Darkness to see through her? Darkness would know for themselves now who Luxu is (Xigbar) and where the box is?
      Also, Maleficent has power over sleep. "Darkness holds our sleep" Maleficent can awaken people's darkness. She does it to Terra.

  • @Fragmentsinfractals488
    @Fragmentsinfractals488 Před 3 lety +1

    Also, Maleficent is needed because she can wield Darkness but is susceptible to their machinations. Mom wears the coat, and isn't.
    Also. for Mom's part, Maleficent takes Sora to the Realm of Darkness which allows Sora to recieve the clue pointing to the Digital Twilight Town. She also defends him, twice, which indirectly destroys Xemnas.

    She held back Pete from intervention..she must've seen luxu catch the keyblade an summon the foretellers an because of her time in the past recognized them. So I'd say she went about watching an plotting as she does. A new team of baddies like she had in kh1 would be great. To disrupt the luxu plans and lure sora an co to dispatch the foretellers leaving a opening for her to steal the box. An open it..

    I wanted to share with you an interesting find, because I’m no youtuber, but I do love KH theories and maybe you’ll do a video on it. It’s about the true nature of Yozora.
    I believe the heart that currently occupies his body, is that of the player character from UnionX.
    There are a few reasons I say this. The first is that of Xehanort’s true nature. Xehanort from the start of Dark Road, was a nobody to begin with. The ending of UX will reveal that the player will lose his/her heart. The body left behind is Xehanort, whom eventually regrows a unique heart.
    The next is the title Verum Rex itself. Not spelled all the way out, however. Recall that KH dream drop distance or, 3D was named for the platform that it was made for, the 3DS. Verum Rex will be a VR, or Virtual Reality title. The player will be directly placed in Yozora’s body.
    The last piece that sells this is what the nameless star say to Sora. When Sora ask why they took her heart. She says, “Only because it pines for another. This means that whomever took everything about her, did so because her heart desired for the wrong character. She also says, “He has been changed beyond recognition, his heart replaced with another’s.
    This is a clear indication at that the heart of “another” in the literal sense was put in Yozora’s body.
    As we know, if you remove the X from Xehanort, you get No Heart, and Another. No Heart makes sense when you consider that he is a nobody from the get go. Another refers to the player character as it an ambiguous label.
    And so the person who occupies Yozora’s body is infact Another, aka, the player character, aka US.
    Edit: I also would like to point out that the player has not been seen to leave Wreck-it-Ralph’s world yet. The title sequence played sure, but he has to walk out via game central station. Recall that Yozora is a video game character and it’s entirely plausible to meet him within game central station.

    • @pajamaletsplay9859
      @pajamaletsplay9859  Před 3 lety +1

      I’m not sure about Player’s heart being in Yozora, though it’s certainly possible. As for the Nameless Star, her heart pining for another is the reason she is able to linger in the final world, but the way I read it wasn’t so much about why they took her identity and such away. I am really interested in the Xehanort parts of that theory though, and may make a video about it and would love to quote this comment, if that’s ok, when the time comes. It will probably be an April topic to prepare for the end of DR

    • @thegummiphone

      @@pajamaletsplay9859 The Xehanort theory isn’t mine, but here’s a link to a video that did say it.
      czcams.com/video/vH-DvySahXI/video.html
      As for what the star says, pay close attention to the dialogue.
      Sora: No way! They couldn’t have taken your heart.
      Star: Only because it pines for another.
      Sora: So then, someone’s coming for you?
      Star: I can’t be certain. He’s been changed beyond recognition, his heart replaced with another.
      She specifically says another rather than another’s. Grammatically, you could say his heart is replaced with another’s using apostrophe s to show ownership. But she’s referring to a person rather than a persons ownership.
      If we synthesize the Xehanort theory and consider that in the literal sense, “another” refers to the player... Much like how your Hope Estheim theory rests upon the literal name Hope. What you say about breaking the 4th wall made a lot of sense to me. And to me, with modern technology, there could be no more powerful way to break the fourth wall that to drag the player through it using VR. The most important thing to consider is that if Xehanort is a Nobody, where is the heart of “another”?

    • @pajamaletsplay9859
      @pajamaletsplay9859  Před 3 lety +1

      That’s a fair point with the grammar, and definitely something I’m going to think on. As for the heart of Another, I’m going to be doing more with dark road in April, but I’ll keep an eye out while I research the topics I’m already working on 😊

    While I don’t have a very strong basis for it, I think Maleficent will end up being a force for good, unintentionally. Because she isn’t the true villain here, she serves some other purpose. But despite lugging Pete around, she is no fool or buffon- so in some way she will serve a higher purpose.
    The reason I think like this is certain a parallel drawn between Maleficent, and Wreck-it-Ralph. When the Enchanted Dominion arc ended, it headed into the Wreck-it Ralph arc. Ralph HATES that he always has to be the villain of the game. This is the same way that Maleficent is scorned by the fact that she ALWAYS loses in her story.
    Now I have not seen the Angelina Jolie version of Maleficent, but being that it’s a character movie, I’m willing to be that she gets a better ending than she does as a cartoon. According to Wikipedia- this version of Maleficent is the PROTAGONIST and is a more sympathetic and misunderstood character.
    The only way Maleficent can alter her ending is if she learned to work for good instead of evil or if she maybe even hi-jacked the live action version of her story.

      I completely agree, though at this moment she is still walking the path of darkness. But she does help Sora in KH2 and I can definitely see her seeing the true villain as a reason to rally forces with the guardians of light
