Lyrics:
It's like just before dark, jump in the car
Buy an ice cream and see how far
We can drive before it melts kinda feeling
That's how your love makes me feel inside
There's a cow in the road and you swerve to the left
Fate skips a beat and it scares you to death
And you laugh until you cry
That's how your love makes me feel inside

I never get tired of it. This song literally makes me happy. Like, grab my wife and dance in the kitchen happy. Thats rare. Thank you, Diamond Rio. 😌
That's sweet that you dance with her
Perfectly surmised
Celebrate and cherish all the things that make you happy.
Fuck I remember when this was a new song, listening to Bob Kingsley on ACC on Sunday mornings on WFMS in Indianapolis. Wish I could go back to that time. It was a much better world.
I grew up listening to that too!!!
That it was...
You and me both! 1997 (when this song came out) was one of the best years of my life, especially. I'd go back to the late 90s in a heartbeat and leave the current dystopia we're in way behind, if possible.
None of us knew just how good we had it living in the 90s. i miss those days
I was little when this song came out time flies when you are having fun
Definitely true. I miss those times so much now!
Yes we took the 90s for granted. God i give anything to go back.
LOL I feel the same way about the 60's, 70's, and the rest. Up untill 2000's
The 90's were the last great decade. Period.
None of Diamond Rio's songs ever get old! I can listen to them over and over and over again! I had the great pleasure of seeing them in concert in our little one horse town back in 2000 at our covered bridge fall festival! There couldn't have been more than 200 folks there but they sang and played like there were 20,000!! They put on one heck of a show and got to get up close and personal with them! My husband was on crutches but he made his way to the concession stand (I had no idea where he was going.....said he had to potty) and bought me a Diamond Rio T-shirt. That was in 2000 and I still have it! I was just a mere baby at age 42 then. I lost my husband, New Years Eve will be a year ago, to a massive heart attack so I cherish it even more now! Love you DIAMOND RIO and Miss you Jim!!
That'd be incredible
I saw George Canyon in a small town venue quite a few years ago close to where my parents live now and I got to meet him after he concert . A very memorable moment to meet a true country star. Canadian country star ❤
Cool! You must be from the south with that one horse town prase, lol. Me too. East Texas. Love 90s and the south and all of 🇺🇸
@calebjay1wilson431 I am......Alabama to be exact. I'm in north Alabama but, we all speak the language/lingo! Everybody thinks we're a bunch of uneducated lost causes!!
That is simply not true!
@@extremeocd1184 l know. It's crazy what some people think of southerners. Oh well we know who we are. I love our music, food, humor and way of life
I miss this version of country music.
true to that. modern country is crap.
exactly
Perfect combination of country groove and a little rock/pop beat mixed.......but not overbearing
@@torontoash45 I'm no poet and I know it but today's country smells worse than an old dog turd.💩👈
Good wholesome relatable creative lyrics too
Man...the 90s had some GREAT COUNTRY MUSIC!!!
I'm 52 yrs old now...this makes me want to go back to my 30s.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Hi fellow Alabamian! I'm in North Alabama.....in North Blount County just 15 miles above Oneonta. I'm with you. Oh how I'd love to go back to the 90's. I'm 64 now.
Love them and never get tired of them....saw them a few years after all these years and they still sound exactly the same live as they do on the radio and their albums!
Went to a concert last night, exactly the same sound as back in the day!!! Awesome group!! 2023
fr saw them at twosteppin and they were great
This is my all time favorite diamond Rio song brings back a lot of memories
This song was such a hit when it came out CMT was replying this music video every 20 minutes. Thems were the days *throws walker*
That one and the video Mr. Mom by Lonestar.
@@jimklipper6022 Mr Mom was made by Lonestar?
This song is exactly how I use to feel about someone. We would sing and just laugh with this song. I was so in love. I miss those days. If you ever have someone that makes you feel ; like this; "DON'T LET THEM GO".
I haven't!
He left... and there was no stopping him💔
This is what real country music sounds like! I miss music like this
you and me both brother.
I am not a country music fan. Really just not much in to that Bob's country Bunker stuff. But I have been a Big fan of Diamond Rio for years. They keep that idea that country music is pretty damn good. The tight harmonies and the band is outstanding. I miss music like this as well.
So love this song!
YES!!!
Hdh
Could the good LORD have put together any better group of guys to nail this hit down
tony keisling
They are AMAZING
Daniele Karstedt glad to know there are people who still have a taste for good music.
I've seen them 4 times in concert, had tickets to go see them again but was cancelled due to covid-19... Hope to see them next year
@@jmwilson1987 I have seen them 12 times.
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
One of those great driving songs! Radio UP, pedal DOWN!
George Smith
Had it blaring on the way to work this morning! We are seeing them in concert this December!
wee ooo wee ooo wee ooo wee ooo
Agreed! Open highway, good friends, loud driving music...life doesn't get much better than that!
Yeah! If I could mod the soundtrack of my racing games (Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport/Horizon, Need for Speed, etc.), THIS is one of many countless songs that I would add into the race bgm!
Barbara Jean, when I join you in heaven, we'll pick up right where we left off! I love you still and miss you so much. 😔
Iam sorry about loss but she is Angel now
I wake up sometimes singing this song and I love it. Ya'll rule~!
Diamond Rio doesn't put out bad music.. Love these guys
You're 💯% correct! I've never heard a Diamond Rio song that I didn't just love! They are great and recorded so many, many great songs from comical like "Bubba Hyde" to sincere like "You're Gone" or "One More Day"! Love them all!!!
Mind boggling how some ugly young girl that can barely sing, and horrible live, without studio equipment, can be a superstar. WTF is wrong with country music today!
This song will never become old.
Love Diamond Rio. This is one of my favorites.
I haven't heard this song in forever. I wasn't sure if I knew it but once the chorus hit it brought memories of my mom and sister playing it when I was little. 😁
I’m so glad all of these country songs where new and fresh when I was growing up.
All of them are related to memories!
Hello Jean.. how are you doing?
Great memories
My dad used to play diamond Rio on the casette player when I was a kid. Now I'm as old as he was then, and I play it for my kids. Life is good
diamond rio still rocks!!!
Should have a trillion views. My childhood right here!!!
Love This Song ❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️
I'm going to see them in July and I couldn't be more excited!!! Makes me reminisce on getting up when my daddy was alive 💔
My favorite song of theirs. My then-7 year old daughter would sing along tunelessly about the cow in the road and crack up. She just turned 31. 😱
One of Diamond Rio's absolute best :) :) :)
My wife and I saw Diamond Rio live at Wild Adventures in Lowndes County, Georgia and they were fantastic! They led off with this song, and kept everybody entertained all the way. Diamond Rio said they’re going to be back next year. I sure hope so.
Best Hair EVER!! This song just makes ya smile.
This is one of my "go to" songs when i'm feeling down or depressed. Picks me up everytime!
Best car driving song....this song should never end, just keep on going........

1000% AGREE... petal to the metal...still 2018
I just love the country songs of the 90's!
Hello Diane.. how are you doing?
So glad I graduated in 98 great time to be in highschool
Still a damn great song! It feels like summer! Miss hearing them on the radio
This was the first Diamond Rio song I ever listened to. It's still my all-time favorite Diamond Rio song to this day, with "Unbelievable" at a very close second.
OMG this brings back such good memories!!
Oh those days!!!!❤❤
DIAMOND RIO, THATS THE FUNNEST SONG TO PLAY TO WITH YOU!😍LOVE YOU GUYS!
You could always count on Diamond Rio to record music you'd wish you had written yourself.
Well said. All these things you want to say to that one amazing girl.
Charlie Brown, You know these guys? You're a character. Not a real person. I've seen you on TV.
Taking the life and my 3 girls out for ice cream at the Dairy Queen, this song comes on the radio and all 5 of us are singing at the top of our lungs!!! Can I be 32 years old again please?
Loved the band. You were worth buying a CD.❤😂❤😂
Isn't that the way it should be! LOVE!
great song makes u feel good song.
Yeah
Diamond Rio ROCKS??😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Getting ready to jump in the car and go see you guys in concert today!
I know this is the unlikeliest of comparisons, but I draw a lot of parallels between Diamond Rio and another old favorite of mine, the Beach Boys....... I know, that doesn't sound right but think about it. In a world that is destitute of vocal harmonies, both provided them at the highest level, and effortlessly. Both were embarrassingly underrated, even within their own genra. Neither band depended on a heart-throb image or mystique. They rose on pure music and vocals. And face it, there was such a positive vibe to their music, you just felt good after hearing it.
+44fastgun Yeah...I'm good with that. I aint mad atcha...
Love both groups. How about a comparison with Restless Heart?
Joe McRorey is some 2pac catch phace thing
@@TheSaleen786The same person (Tim Dubois) had a hand in both Restless Heart and Diamond Rio. One of my cousins (Danny Gregg) was in The Tennessee River Boys with Marty Roe at one time. They went through several lineup changes before eventually becoming Diamond Rio. Another cousin (Paul Gregg) played with them for a short period before Restless Heart took off.
Oh but did the beach boys ever use the b bender?
Right on
One of the best love songs ever written
Hello Cynthia.. how are you doin
Me and boyfriend feel that way inside about each other
A great song. Fantastic video!! Wow !!
The good thing about this video… You will not see any gay couples like you would now days.
Because years ago they were shamed by hate. Now days some of us call out hate and let others be free. You should too.
I love this song so much ❤❤
Lol. The people's eyebrow from the backup vocalist/guitar man. 90's!! My favorite song by them.
Perfect explanation of true love.
These guys are still amazing! Can’t wait to see DIAMOND RIO play at GoldenSky! Counting the days!
You're absolutely right..... good afternoon how are you doing over there it's a lovely day that the lord has made
Nice Suspenders Marty. Way to go guys.
Just a gold old American feel good song.
Just seen them in Winnsboro LA....THEY ARE AWESOME!!! 4/9/2016
My daughter and I have tickets to see the in October in PA
2018 still love ....forever
Always one of my favorites!
We need to bring this back. Country music died somewhere in the early 2000s.
Well this is from 1997. Also, as someone who like this song and also grew up on country music in the 80's, I don't think country music is dancing on the streets in the city.
This song is exactly how God makes me feel. No Hell, no punishment. Just joy and happiness. Such a great song by great guys!
Such a wonderful and lovely song, the best ever, my favorite, love listening to this song always
Hello Jen, how are you doing, hope you good?
So you like diamond Rio and Kenny Chesney? Two of my favorites. Want to be cool with each other and talk music?

Love these guys...such talent and good people too. Love this song...one of my all time favorites. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

This is how me and my wife feel about each other
This is how me and wife feel about each other and love will never stop
Have always loved this band.
Saaaaame
Still love this song 2023 😊
Diamond Rio's how your love makes me feel was nominated for a grammy award for best country performance by duo or group with vocals lost to looking in the eyes of love by Alison Krauss & The Union Station
#1 for 3 weeks on the country charts in 1997.
Day off! Gotta hear ya!❤😂❤😂
This makes me feel like a kid again. God I remember hearing this on the radio while mom drive us around. I miss that. My kid will listen to this lol.

Diamond Rio has never ever put out a bad song. Sing on boys!
My Amanda Loves me shes my Icecream 🍦🌎💞ps: Diamond Rio Rules!! love this song
Such a good song.
What a Happy song! Just awesome!!
Why do I feel like 90s music was made for kids. all the music videos were cute and the songs had such cute lyrics. I was 4 when this came out and I loved it'
M&M Papaya 90s were a lot more carefree than the 2000s. After 9/11 everything changed.
Not all, depends on the genre, but yes "pop rock" specifically surged with a cheerful optimism for the future..
Whats wrong with that? At least you know most of the songs would bring a smile to your face
Gotta remember back then, our music videos were all this goofy ;-)
It was a more carefree and optimistic time. 90s country, in particular, definitely seemed more "clean" and "family friendly" in those times than now, for sure. I would feel awkward listening to most new country songs on the radio today with my parents, unlike in the 90s and early 2000s, which was completely fine.
I wish people would stop with the "That's real country music" comments. You realize that you feel that way because it's what was on the radio in your prime, right? The generations before us thought this was crap and their music was "real country" too. Every genre constantly evolves and we can't stop it. If you don't like today's music, that's totally fine, but just because it's not for you doesn't mean it's not for someone else. You can appreciate what you like without bashing the things you don't. We would all do better to remember that.
Love listening to this song, the best ever, my favorite
Hello Morgan, how are you doing, hope you good?
love this song!!!
This is how me and my husband feel about each other
I have listened to diamond Rio forever since I was knee high to a grasshopper sucks how you don't hear this song on the radio in az anymore

An oldie but goodie country classic! I went to a lot of country concerts when I was young but never got to see Diamond Rio.
