Lyrics:
I'd start walking your way, you'd start walking mine
We'd meet in the middle, 'neath that old Georgia pine
We'd gain a lot of ground if we'd both give a little
There ain't no road too long when we meet in the middle
#MeetInTheMiddle #DiamondRio #OfficialHDVideo #Remastered - Hudba
Who's listening in 2024? ❤

Damn that’s had
Sorry man😢😢
Can we stop and appreciate that there are 6 mullets in this video, all slightly different styles.
🤣😆🍻
Dodgedriver4 mullet power is a real thing
Glad I am not the only one who has glaring admiration for the quality look of these gentlemen. They are coming to Colorado for the state fair and I assure I will be there dressed to impress!
Combed to perfection lol.
they do look much better later in their careers
This song is a perfect example of priorities, if someone truly cares they'll not only say it but prove it through actions. Know your worth people.
I feel like it's a skill g that wont leave your head when you start setting boundiaries and priorities
Great answer Beau.
It goes even deeper when mullets are involved! 😂.....sorry I had to. 👍
Lmao 🤣😂🤣 yes
Yes thank you
I love this song ❤. Listening in 2024!
Who is still listening to this great song in the year 2024? I know I am and Always will.

Diamond Rio, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, Keith Whitley, Travis Tritt etc some of the greats! Love this Era of music
Hello Charles.. how are you doing?
man the algorithm is serving them ALL to me today, trip down memory lane and i've cried more than once.... GOOD STUFF
facts i agree the 90s country music will always be best time for country music not crap they play today
Minus Garth Brooks
Saw them in concert this summer. Bass player looks exactly the same. Their energy was incredible. Fantastic show.
Hello Stephanie👋
The gutar player Jimmy O is incredible
Lucky
Helps calm me. Remembering my man and how we used to be togsther......😢😢😢😢 I so miss us this way
Memories can be a gift, and a curse at the same time. As long you remember the great times, intimate moments that you two only share as no one else knows the combination to your heart, mind, body, and soul than its something worth to hold into as time goes on. You're one true love will always be the first to make you smile, laugh, cry, and there to comfort you when you just needed to be held by a knight that will always protect t his Queen as he will never give his all with a golden heart of absolute innocence that will never be corrupted. Times are different but a lifetime of beautiful memories will forever keep that bond together, and deep down we all believe he is the dreams of angelic beings do exist. May you have a wonderful summer with a ending you do deserve as a kind, beautiful glittering colors of rainbow portraits that will put a smile for all.🎉❤
Wow....today my husband and I are celebrating 33 yrs and this Awesome song says it all ! Give and take, share it all. Now 6 kids later and 24 grandchildren....So much to share..! ❤
Hello Brenda
How are you doing today>
Beautiful
So much life , Real living. How good it is to see people like you. What a great life 🙏❤️
😅
God Bless Y'all!😊
My all-time favorite Diamond Rio song!🤓
This song was one of the stones in the foundation of my life and my family's..... grew up hearing it and will continue to make my kids grow up hearing it. Long story short people can do amazing things..... if we would just ask for help when we need it
My wife and i traveled 3.5 hours to meet each other dating. This song brings 51 year old memories of R.I. to NYC
Your family sounds pretty lucky, my family life sucked
Currently forcing my kids to hear all of my favorite 80s and 90s music right now. I'm getting eye rolls from my father (we're visiting but we're from Alabama and I'll make sure this continues.... this is fun music... they don't make it like they did).
Diamond Rio---some of the best harmony ever---any genre of music!
They are very good but any genre ever? I'm just here to mention Simon and Garfunkel to prevent an injustice to the world.
Um not any genre ... prolly just country
Mike Parker
Absolutely
Alabama too
@@ES-mc3cc I did say "some" of the best
The guys from Diamond Rio had some pretty stellar hair cuts.
Love the red boots.
Ricky Spanish oh how I miss the mullet
The sad part is they've gotten out of shape but can still sing. How I know this? I saw them in concert last year.
+Blake Toombs Oh, but the true question is: Do they still rock the mullet?
Sadly no.
On February 11, 1991, Diamond Rio released its debut single "Meet in the Middle", reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. It was their debut single and the lead-off single from their self-titled debut album "Diamond Rio" (1991). This was their first music video, and was directed by Eric Straton. The video premiered on CMT on February 14, 1991.🙂
Instant fan when they came on the scene then.each one of those guys were predicted to be stars even before that first album dropped .
Wow I was 4 ! But I grew up with country music. I love this song !!
One of my favorites Diamond Rio songs!
Some songs are just so good you can’t help but love them even if it isn’t a genre you’d typically listen to. Good music is good music.
And here i am 20 years later after hardly listening to country
My preferred genres have always been 90s/00s industrial/prog rock/metal and classic rock (Beatles through late 70s), and I'm the first to admit I have disco and 90s country on many playlists
Yep, good music is good no matter the genre!
Love this song. When my wife and I move to the beautiful state of Georgia, we will plant a pine if one is not already there. We listened to this song when we were engaged back when it first came out,. After 23+ years of marriage, we are still going strong, thanks to Jesus Christ.
Did you ever move to Georgia?
@@rs-vl2im a couple more years yet. I have a lot of family there and a lot of time spent there with the military, so plenty of reasons to to move there. It is a beautiful part of the US.
All we have here is pine trees and red mud. Welcome to GA.
@@rob1248996 and a lot more freedom than NY. Plus there is some great hunting and fishing areas to explore.
As far as mud, I am all to familiar with Georgia red clay dirt. I dug mortar pits when I was at Ft. Benning and ran the trails at Ft. Gordon.
I'm listening in 2024
2020 and we're here
Cause new country is a dumpster fire...
the Year is in the middle (sorta)🤓
we came for the mulletts
2021
I think it was much more fun, back in the days before Facebook, Google, and cellphones. People actually spent REAL time with each other. Awesome band saw them live in AZ in 05. My newlywed wife and I were probably the youngest in the crowd. They Rock... Friends don't let friends grow mullets.
I really agree with you. Not to give you a story of my life but I think there'd be less cheating less too much info on people less stress...I was very young in this time I was born in 1990 but I remember so much of how these songs gave me hope on love and life and man it sucks haha nothing like this anymore you look at 90s couples and they were sincerely happy now you have to stress on what your spouse is hiding from you on there phone or computer
+Brittney Burns My gf and I both think we were born way too late haha i was born in 94 and her in 96 but we're two of very few that like 90s country way more than anything out today
+Tigersfan829 I was born in 98 and listen to all 70s 80s and 90s country and early 00s some of the new stuff is ok Osborne brothers and Chris Stapleton
If you dont like this you ain't country! True country!
Travis Hudson right
Agreed
I love this song
Travis Hudson Love it
My name is hudson to
Still listening in 2019!! Who else
Oh, I am, used to live in nowhere Ky, loved the idea of walking to meet in the middle! Love this song!
Savannah Saenz
Me
July 2019
Just saw them live 7-13-19 was crazy cool to see multiple generation come together for music
Me
2022, still listen to this song because it built a foundation for my life. My family doesnt like it, but I would blast it across the world if I could.
before the country pop shit that has taken over...... this is the best era
I AGREE!!!
FeldMarschallVonBravo yes it is
I agree, the best times in country was from 50's to about 98, after 98 it started to fizzle, then it really went to hell after 2007. Now it's pure crap, oh sure one song here and there like Ain't in no hurry by Zac Brown, but the rest is disgusting,a real sin, to real country music.
What's with the KKK flak
Bob Bailey 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
True story- I grew up with Marty in church here in Ohio. When we sings hymns (we did not use music instruments as we were Protestant) and he’s probably 8-10 years older but we all belonged to the youth group and he would give me absolute chills when he would hit those high notes at church. I’m so proud of him and he’s still the same cool and easygoing man just like you see on the screen. Yes he had the mullet then. I absolutely ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜them. Thank goodness they’re making a comeback. Hi Marty Roe if you ever see this.
Hello Sandra,How are you doing ?
Hello Sandra, how are you doing?
Please tell Marty and the band that I said hi too because this song helped cheer me up when I was being put through human trafficking by my family during my childhood and was a slave when the song came out on the radio. Hearing a song about equality was awesome. Plus I loved climbing trees and I loved that they protected that Georgia Pine and that it had a long tree life with them. :)
Protestants can play instruments lol
I knew a guy who grew up with them in Lebanon. His wide worked with me. It was pretty awesome hearing about them singing in church and then following their dreams and actually making it. Most don't. He said they didn't change. Just his Buddies.
Good god that mullet is epiccccc.... my mom had a long mullet til likeee 2004.. used too embarrass me but looking back I like it now. Funny how you appreciate your childhood later in life. Love ya Mom. 🖤🖤🖤
Grew up listening to y'all! I'm 37 now and share your music with my kids!!!
I SERIOUSLY THINK THIS SONG IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS IN THE WORLD! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! IT WILL NEVER GET OLD
Back when country was county

Island in the stREAM KAROKE

I love this song
Billy Mac long black train
This song is absolutely timeless
First heard this at my grandma and grandpa's. They're gone now. Warms my heart! Rip mamaw and papaw!!!
I cant stand today's country music but i grew up on songs like this. Reba and Garth Brooks are on another level compared to the garbage of today.
Justin right
Yep today’s music is shit like the old country
I agree with you!!
Disagree
Every popular country music sing today has a snap track on beats 2 and 4. My teenage daughter appropriately calls modern country music “hick hop.” It’s such a perfect description.
This song makes me wanna make up and I ain't even in a relationship 😂
Lol
😂😂
@@jamesggdd you and me
Now that's quite a compliment !!! It gavee a huge smile.. thank you
The greatest band that ever existed. Legit when music was real!!!!
😂
My girlfriend loved '90s country, and this was one of her favorites. Love you always darling! Rest in peace!
You tube, how do you know me so well..just auto playing all the songs of my childhood, not even a playlist!
+AliciaCCTX sky net is next you know...
This is a must-have on ANY country playlist for 90s kids... ;)
They know you VERY well. TOO well.
head over boots
whos singing this song out loud 2024???
Only every time I hear it
Only for the last 30 years or so lol

Me . . . I absolutely love it. I wish I could sing it with him while playing my Guitar, Sax, Piano or Harmonica. It is seriously the simple things in life!

👋👀👋
As a Canadian Country boy, these guys were one of my first really loves of country music
one of the most iconic songs of my childhood. a must have song in any 90s mix tape / cd
Their best song. Saw them live tonight for free! They were so awesome!! Marty's voice is so good and the other band members are so good too. Nice and down to earth people.
M&M Papaya bubba shot the jukebox
M&M Papaya I lived in the 80s and i love this song
I remember this song playing during a backyard volleyball game with the people from my church - 1992? Funny how moments stick in the mind for the rest of life.
Hello 👋 There
How are you doing?
I had this on my wedding play list 27 years ago, love it!
Back when mullets ment something
They still mean something to me.
Joshua Lee right
I had an epic mullet in the late 80s/early 90s
i miss country music from my childhood they don't make music like this anymore
I feel the same. :(
so true
Guy Bishop I know right
Guy Bishop me too
love this song.....and all the older kind of country, and new music too...
Modern country music is great, what they play on the radio ain't country though.
+Cross Roads Productions i agree wiyh country music used to be good up until 2010 then i think it just wrnt to shit
Cross Roads Productions yea it's a lot harder to find good country songs these days, usualy limited to a few artists like Alan Jackson, Lee Brice, Tim McGraw, etc...
Perfect just perfect , vocals. Guitar, drums all in harmony. Love these guys
Man, I wish country was still this good!! ❤ this takes me straight back to the good old days!
Smiles, hello Cyndi 🌺😊
The vocals and harmonies in this song are phenomenal!!
Love this song, love this group. Long live country.
This was the very first concert I attended... Great show at Silver Mountain, ID in the mid 90's as a kid and saw them again at National FFA convention a few years later. Still one of my favorite bands!
One of my favorite things to do is crank this song in the car, and sing it a the top of my lungs. My 12 year old boy has a big eye roll for me every time, but always ends up singing along❤
Hello Melissa,How are you doing ?
this is a god damn classic, 2018
YoBobby damn right!! 💯
Its 2019 now man, still a fuckin classic and always will be
Diamond Rio were phenomenal musicians when they came on the scene. Jimmy-O brought the B bender to the front for a lot of up and coming guitarists. Saw them a month ago live and they still kill it!!! I really miss this music, terribly.
Jimmy O was a fantastic player and still is. 2021
Me too! Seeing them at a county fair in Michigan Saturday. 5 hour drive there and back but soooooo well worth it. Country music that's actually country music is a rarity these days
90’s Country > Taylor Swift
Thank goodness someone else agrees, a little more faith has been restored in humanity
Not even close man
Saw them in concert, and they sounded as good as on the compact disc. Very talented band 😊
How long ago did u see them in concert??
Way back in 1997
14 years old and this is the best music, also randy travis, def Leppard, bon jovi, Aerosmith, men at work and many more I love!!! man I wish they made these amazing songs now it's so sad. the music now a days is terrible!!!
If your relating to all music Listen to Three Days Grace they write so much about life problems and getting away from things that can be in your life anymore. Great song to start with is Never Too Late it's about wanting to give up on life, but someone comes and saves you before it's too late.
Im 21 years old and i totally agree this is best music
Couldn't agree more
Preach
I'm 14 to and and I agree.
One of my favorite songs as a kid. Still great after all these years.
It was mine too, well one of them. I had a few from this genre of music come to think of it.
🔥
never gets old . miss good tunes
Haven’t heard this song in probably 20 years(or longer) and it played this morning and I sang every word like I’d been listening to it daily for years. My wife was floored. You don’t forget perfection.
Loved this comment. Totally agree. This one just transports me back in time. Miss these guys.
Atta boy
this song reminds me of piling in the old Chevy truck when I was young and going to work on the pig farm. yes we had a huge pig farm. I miss going there. it tough me hard work pays off. I miss my grandma. she has passed and I come here to listen to these old song when I feel sad and miss her really bad. it helps.

What a good song. This one wasn’t even in my top favorites back in the day, but hearing it now...wish I could listen to this kind of stuff all day.
This song was the soundtrack to so many of my better years, way back when... Haven't smiled this much in years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😁
What an amazing band! Lead guitar is incredible. Love these guys.
This is actually real country with out crap
Alyssa Agnos jvxbcfvccjcb
Your correct it is real country
My husband and I just celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary on the 2nd! I’ve been fighting breast cancer since October and I’m so blessed to have him and our babies by my side! We absolutely love this song!!!

The checkerboard pick guard/leather vest combo is underrated.

YYEEEESSSS! ROFLMAO
Don’t forget the red shoes 💀
some body needs a bring this music back
This song played a few minutes ago on my car radio! 😁
Remember listening to this on country countdown as a student at GA Southern and singing the chorus-"beneath that old GA pine"-especially poignant in the political divide we live in now - lets try meeting in the middle!
Just saw them at a free concert. They truly sound exactly the same after all these years!! Love them so much. One of the best concerts I've saved been to!
Just saw them last Thursday... still perfect.
3:19 ...I listen to the entire song just for that moment!! LOVE it...
Agreed. Gives me goosebumps. Impeccable harmony
I love this song it what country should be

When MTV sucked, I started watching CMT. I saw Diamond Reo live and they where so tight and exact live, best group evet!!!
This is what you call real country music unlike today's. I love this song 💖
Hello 👋 Dear. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I’m Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Country-Rap? CRAP?
agreed the crap they play today isnt real country music the 90s will always be best times for country music
I like this country music better than the crap now what happened our generation
rap and rock came along i mean i dont have nothing against bon jovi and guns n roses but to many "country" singers now try to mix that rock and country together making a shit pile
How about you stop hating and stop judging people on music?
Derek Freer
We grew up, we grew old, and like all other generations before us, we're *afraid* of change. I hate most of the new music too, but that's not to say this generation isn't going to grow up hating the next generation of music either and calling it crap. It's based on what you grew up on. Change is inevitable. Unfortunately, any music made now is to make a quick buck and forget about it the next week/month. How many albums sold today, or even a year ago still have people listening to them? I'm betting not a whole lot.
My granpa Maynard Sanders loved this song so much may he rest in piece❤
Songs like this always made life on the farm so good! Used to dance to this while washing or feeding our 4h calves.
