We've all raged trying to get all 30 green stars in this stage. This level makes players rage just as much as Champion's Road. These tips will make this stage much easier.

The last star on Mystery House Marathon: the worst time for your jump button to fail.
Gamesmarts194 or the worst time for you to miss press a long jump and accidentally ground pound through the cloud. I've seen people do this.

A couple notes for any who attempt this with Peach:
Star 16: Peach's spin jump is not high enough to reach the star platform, you'll have to go around.
Star 23: Peach's float makes these timed Creeper bounces much harder. But I held run, jump, and right, and I bounced off the first and third Creeper (skipping the second and fourth), and damage boosted through the one hanging from the ceiling. Just make sure you have a reserve catsuit for the following rooms.
For #15 it’s near impossible for Peach to get to the star on time, even if I climb as fast as possible
@@dance4melife227 I suppose that may be a problem on Wii U, but since I believe climb speeds are increased on the Switch version, I made it easily with a couple seconds to spare on both my runs (used Peach both times). Just gotta time your jumps carefully.
Pro tip: Don't play peach. Seriously though, I don't know why if you have those problems you would play as peach. Just play as someone else, and connect another controller as peach before the ending. That way it counts as a completion for her. Or just play peach if you want, I don't care.
Thanks for this! I have the game for the Switch and I was getting frustrated with this. Playing in handheld mode meant I could use the touch screen for a few stars which did genuinely help. I wouldn't have thought to do it otherwise!

I had been stuck in this for 4 hours. By far your video is the most useful among all the other videos. Surprisingly it's a video from many years ago.
I was stuck on it for 6 months
This helps a lot, especially with the little rabbit and throwing baseballs when the thwomps are up because I mess up with those most of the time.

I would rather you use the lucky cat suit. When you need to defeat enemies, just turned golden and then wait. Even the bullies die when they run into you.
Not true. Beaten it all with two lucky cat suits. Beat the whole game 100% and never had to go back without items...
DiscoCrows Oh you have the lucky cat suit confused with the invincible tanooki suit. I knew that already. I never really used the tanooki suits to pass levels either so I knew that already
DiscoCrows As you know, the golden tanooki suits or whatever are used to pass levels that you die so many times on. The lucky cat suit can be found in world mushroom and on. When you have it on, you see a little bell around the player's neck. When you ground pound, it turns you into a golden lucky cat that collects coins as you fall to the ground and is invincible when you hold on to the z-button. It kills all enemies I believe and keeps you from being harmed from fire and spikes.

@@Unusualguy17 actually, the invincibility leaf can still be used. you can still unlock world crown without going back and beating every level without the invincibility leaf
On the third one, you can have three characters out at once and step on all three switches simultaneously.

I want to share some tips and details while following this instruction if YOU ARE A BEGINNER who wants to maximize the chance to beat as easy as possible.
First, The video is saying that change to Cat suit after beating 4, but I find it better to change it after beating 7. The reason is that as you repeat it or for other reason get tired, chances are an accident happens and you can get hit by the ghosts in 5 or Goombas in 7 in mistake. If you lose Cat suit here, 9 will be more challenging to you because you could’ve been just climb the wall. There is no problem in 5 to 7 without the Cat suit anyway. So it is safer to change the clothes later if you aren’t as confident as the uploader.
Second, for 11, you have to press dash button at the same time tapping the Walleyes to stop them, otherwise the skate isn’t fast enough to get the Star. I recommend you to press the button with ringer while you can easily tap them using index finger. Also, you might miss the skate in the beginning if you carelessly go ahead diagnally, adding a failure, so be careful to hop on one.
Third, in 14, when you try to jump to start climbing, try not to go too close to the upper wall to climb, for you might bump yourhead and fall to death. That was a stupid mistake I made.. unbelievable.
Fourth, in 16, while you’re spinning to make the jump, be careful not to go under the shadow so that you bump your head under the platform, wasting time to fail.
Fifth, in 19, you can climb reeealy little bit and still get the star. Don’t climb too much, you can get bit by the plant.
Sixth, in 22, be careful to keep horizontal for your pad to avoid death AFTER getting the star. What a dumb mistake I made... :(
Seventh, best to priozise to grab the bomb to throw it at the wall. I was so nervous and was holding dash button and ran around little bit, accidentally grabbed the baseball somehow, throwing it to destroy the bomb... everything in vain...
Oh well.. i still failed a lot but was a great video to follow :) Too bad I have only one extra pad so O have to beat it TWO more times...

Logging in as multiple players at once is genius. I'll have to try that on my 100 percent run on the Switch version. I only have 2 joycons and 1 pro controller so I might have to do each level twice
You always had to do each level twice because there is 5 characters 4 in one game and complete it normally

I failed the last star TWICE. Not once but TWICE.
First time: I was logging other players in and the time ran out.
Second time: I was getting the coins and the time ran out.

2nd: don't focus on coins, just on the stamp and star

I took my character in with a Super Leaf, with a backup Super Leaf in inventory. You'll end up having to sacrifice Rosalina's spin attack, but being able to hover is a must here.
* Use your tail to get through the first bit with the Octoombas and Fire Bros.
* Take your time and hover like crazy to get past the Blast Blocks.
* Be sure to keep moving and out of the Fire Bars' paths while you jump and use tail attacks on the Magikoopas.
* Use your hover ability and fancy footwork to get past the spike rollers. I personally ignore the potted Piranha Plant, as I'm better at timed jumps through the walls of Fuzzies.
* Use your tail to defeat all of the Buzzy Beetles before wall-jumping to the top, then jump straight up the line of Piranha Creepers while holding down the jump button.
* Make your way through the water cubes. When you need to go down, stop swimming and simply let your character fall. Ground-pound in order to enter the pipe at the end.
* When collecting the five keys on the Boost Pads, try not to jump, as the momentum will surely throw you off the edge. Don't be afraid to run an extra circle around the area if you miss something. This is where I lost the most lives!
Once you're there, you're home free. Best of luck, mate!

Actually, you yolo the first part with Rosalina, use patterns and muscle memory for blast blocks, be good at the game for the kamek things, yolo the spike section place, someone go up to the water area and do it easily, and yolo the speed block area and pray to RNGesus that you live

Star 11 was surprisingly tricky, and I wanna say Star 25 was tough for me. Star 14 was only rough because I didn't go on block at a time. Doing your method works wonders. Still a great video 9 years later!

Update: I burst a blood vessel trying to beat Champion's Road and then I slammed my gamepad on my coffee table and broke it. The anger consumed my soul and I became a demon

Those ball and Piranha Creeper sections are especially pretty tricky for me. Some of these tips I already know, but I give you my thanks for the ones I don't.
#8 you can hit the ball with fire flower from your starting position.

On #8 you can drag the baseball to the star on the touch screen. Not all characters can spin jump to the star on #16, so you can stop the wheel with the touch screen and climb up the left.

Also another tip: you can tap the far-right Hop-Chop to turn it into a springboard. God I love touch controls, they're a life saver.

Also, 3:24 at #18, you can use the gamepad/touchscreen to grab the baseball and move it.

I’ve beaten this as Peach and I spawned Mario and Luigi in and I can’t beat it with Toad or Rosalina preparing to pop someone in at the end, all I need to fully beat the game

in the switch version, for mentions of the gamepad, if you're in handheld mode use the touch screen. if you're in dock mode, press r to use the touch cursor. also, online play of the switch version can help as long as your switch friends join your game.

For the Star with the spinning fuzzies, Star 16, you could also ground-pound jump. If you do it close enough to the platform, you will just climb up!
