It's a true challenge to beat Champion's Road as Mario with no power-ups. Here are some tips to make this challenge much easier! This is also a 100 subscriber special. Funny, the part where you said "for this part you need to know about high jumps and low jumps" gave me real "we have to talk about parallel universes" energy
A high jump is a high jump, you can’t say it’s a low jump
Except high jumps and low jumps have been in nearly every platformer game, at least since the original SMB, whereas parallel universes are something that nobody can even utilize outside of a TAS.

I spent Sunday finally completing the level as both Mario and Peach but using tanooki suits.

I already told my daughter once we get to the end "when" turn on all the controllers. 2 people can carry 2 more, then grab last controller to have all touch the flag at once! This way u don't have to play it over 5 times! Hopefully this idea helps someone else as well! (I love Mario so much I even married a Mario!!! "Just Kidding! His name was just a coincidence, I love him for him only!!!" Good Luck Everyone!!!
If you have 4 controllers, you only need to beat it twice.

Thank you for suffering for us. It’s still not easy, but these tips helped a lot. I will add one thing that’s helped me: don’t panic, you have enough time to take some parts slow. Only start an obstacle when you’re ready.
Edit: I’m still stuck on the final stage, but I’m getting there more and more consistently. If it was easier to record this I’d make a guide myself, because I’ve got plenty of advice I’ve learned through doing. For example, did you know you don’t even need to jump over a single Chargin’ Chuck if you keep to the back of the platform and sprint full tilt?

@@jomet9019 I'm long past it now, but thank you! As it turns out, once you've done it as Mario you can do it as anyone. For 100% I had to get everyone to the end and I chose Peach as the one who would put everyone else in bubbles and play the stage. It was easy, only took me a few attempts. The time I managed it as Mario was really cool too since I managed to do it without taking damage.
Man the switch versions speed makes this a bit easier. My strategy is to have 3 players total, I position one near the edge of a safe platform just so if I die I can some back as long as the camera doesn’t scroll to much, the other character I carry when I’m going to do risky jumps, If I fall or feel like ill fall I throw the other player to safety while I fall or make it. Having the extra players allows for 3 total backup power ups as well, when I don’t need the players they stay in the bubble. A good character to play as is peach for her floaty ability, I also have 3 total backup leaves to help me float more. When I reach the end I position all the characters I have around the goal so when my main character reaches the top of the flag, I make the others jump on just so it counts as I beat the level with those characters. Hopefully that helps someone.

On the switch version you can ground pound and press y (I think) to do a dive. It can sometimes save you.
I’ve been trying to beat this level for a few hours, I have gotten to the last obstacle 3 times now, thanks to this video I’ve actually made a lot of progress, thanks dude

Thanks for this guide! I lost 235 lives with rosilina then 50 with peach (because i'm useless). Then, using this guide I did Luigi in 5 lives, Mario in 1 and Toad in 7! All in 4 days!

Thanks, this was really helpful. The fact you can run across the LARGE gaps during the Chucks section, even at the first stage of the run speed, was a game changer. Much more consistent now for me to actually get to later parts and practice.

I've attempted this probably 500 times so far mostly as Mario since he's the one I really like to use & seem to do best with but have only made it to the spikey swings a couple of times. Your video might help because I didn't know the high jump and low jump thing nor did I know about being able to stop the spikey's swings by touching them on gamepad. Not sure I can do that though if I had 3 hands maybe. Oh, and the roll long jump looks insane too. Great job and I can only imagine how long it must have taken you to perfect this.

i used this tutorial to know what was coming up next and how long the level was. i instead used rosalina, along with my own strategy (which heavily borrowed from this video lmao)
my way of getting all 5 characters through it was to just beat it with rosalina and log another controller in and grab the flagpole with that controller.

That's a great strategy you use on the laser parts. I'm not much for looking up playthroughs of games to get through levels, more like watch for entertainment purposes, but I'll keep this video in mind when(or if) I get 3d world....I wish I had a Wii U....*sniffle*

Mario Plush Kid ... How about you add all the other characters(except 1, you have to come back for that one.), position them to the corners, then press jump on as many of them as you can?
Tip: Get a Lucky Bell then a Tanooki Suit. You’re gonna use tanooki first for the charging chucks and the beeping blocks. When you make it to the spiky logs, use the lucky bell to destroy them, making it easier.
Holy crap I remember this video when Mankalor only had around 560 subs, And I recently found his channel again because of his Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gameplay, and I was thinking, 'This name definitely rings a bell!' It's amazing to see your channel grown so much, and I hope you continue in the future!

These tips are what I did when I beat it, but if you use Luigi (Which you should), you can skip some jumps because he can go farther and higher. Well done!

It's actually a bit easier compared to the Wii U version since there is increased speed on the Switch game. You can get past a lot of obstacles a lot faster as a result.
I never really intend on using Mario to beat this stage; it was hard enough braving the challenge asRosalina. But, I will remember to keep your tips on this video in mind in future.

my first completion with rosalina took well over 700 attemps, and over 7 hours of gameplay lmao
I wish I watched this earlier. I was stuck on the red and blue blocks then made it though. The spikes were ez. Now I'm stuck on the water spike part. And this acted like it was simple. Now at least I get there every time because of this.

Is the clear pipe section just a simple ride along or is there traps you can fall out of? I still have to figure out the timing of all those laser rings and super speed pads. But once I clear those, I don't wanna fail at the clear pipes before the final goal. :P
+zallow You can't fall out of them, but if you are low on time then you can die that way, I think you can hold right the entire time just in case, but otherwise it should do it automatically, but every once in awhile I think it might loop you around which isn't good for time.

This level is simply sadistic
Quick question-is it possible to die at the clear pipe bit before the end? Anywhere you could fall out of the pipe? I’m assuming since the camera is not zooming in that there’s not much to worry about there, but I’ve died so many times on this level that I don’t trust anything that looks harmless 😂😂

You make it look easy
Some of the earlier parts your making it more difficult then it needs to be. For the charging chucks just jump on the first platform and jump straight up once they charge you and kill them then easily run by no turning, also at red/blue switches the part where double tiles of both colors meet jump normally to blue on right then time it for when its about to change and run and end up on red a quick jump up to the other red then just a regular jump to the final blue switch. It actually lines up perfectly.
I find it a little easier to defeat the Charging Chucks except that one before the teleport box, gives me space to think about where to run.

For the game pad parts in switch you can use the cursor
I was wondering why you had to that hop back on the last blue block, but I forgot that the Wii U version had slightly slower movement (and also I beat it ad Toad, not Mario)
The only part I'm having trouble with is those stupid beat blocks.
I was having trouble with the fast zooming part, where you have to get the 5 orange key coins
LiMRB127 I agree, I had no luck with Mario since he's the most balanced, but I had better luck with Luigi since he has a higher jump, but that part is impossible to do without a Tanooki Suit no matter which character I use.
